We had the opportunity of going all-inclusive on this holiday and this was our first experience of this- NEVER AGAIN.

The only plus side to all inclusive was the bar meal in the afternoon-service for this was excellent and a good choice off the menu. The evening food was very repeatative- chips chips chips. We did actually go out on about 5 occasions.

The pool was clean, only once did it have to be emptied, due to a nappy accident!
We found that if you had kids by the pool, the rush for sun loungers and parasols was their priority. One item on the hotel information leaflet was no sun loungers be resevered before 9.15 on the morning-this was ignored and towels left on loungers from the night before. Hotel staff should more strick about this.

Entertainment got a bit repetative as well- sasha and emma doing the same thing-bingo bingo bingo! Plus they had their favourite guests.

Rooms cleaned freguently. Biggest disappointment was we had 2 air-con units in our room and if we wanted to use both would have had to pay 10pd each and 2.50 a day for each. In a country that 95% of the time is hot the air-con should be included in the booking price.

Visited Electra Holiday Village for a family holiday in 2004 self-catering and thought it was that good returned in 2005 all inclusive.

Loved everything about the place. One thing a little bugging was that we had a young couple living next door to us who would get in late(fair enough)but get the ump when my two year old daughter woke them at 1pm with a tantrum.

WE had to move room............luckily without too much fuss...........

Got the Electra on a last minute deal allocated at airport. When arrived very quick at checking in. Room basic but enough for 2 and cleaned 6 days out of seven which was nice.

Pool was lovely and clean and plenty of fun to be had. Entertainment was poor at night if it wasnt for danny( funny guy) and sasha to salvage the night it would of been poor.

Nissi beach a must. If you have a accident dont expect the manager to see you tried FIVE times to speak but never here.

Put foot through pool filter and badly cut it wanted to express my concerns but couldnt. So overall enjoyed my time here but have to go out most nights for dinner. Would come back again.

We had a very good week in cyprus.

The food was lovely different meals every day which were always hot. We were all inclusive so we spent a lot of time in Electra. I found the hotel and pool area very clean and tidy. Rooms cleaned every day and fresh towels every other day.

I found the location ok for me but if anybody had mobility problems then location wouldnt be to good. A good walk away from shops and nightlife. Beach literally next door but very rocky. Beach 10 minute walk away was absolutely lovely.

Some staff were very ignorant but on the whole very nice(apart from Danny and Sacha) who were very loud and annoying hence spoiling the entertainment!

I have just arrived back from the Electra and I can't wait to go back!!

The apartment was large, modern and very clean, maids came in everyday to change towels and linen was changed regularly.

The pool area was great it wasn't crowded at all and was also very clean!

Although the Electra is a 15/20 minute walk from the centre of Ayia Napa we found that if you didn't want to go down the main road passed all the shops but wanted to go direct to the square (where all the night life is) then if you take the road to the left instead then it is actually only a 5 minute walk!!

All the staff and Reps were very friendly and helpful.

I can't comment on the 'all inclusive' but we did try the food and we found it to be very nice and great value for money, I personally wouldn't have stayed here as an all inclusive guest as I can't see the point when there is so much to do outside the hotel and it is not very expensive at all.

All in all I had the best holiday I have ever had and it didn't cost much at all and I will definitely be going back!!

Booked this holiday at the last minute so it wasn't the cheapest. The Electra is situated just far enough away from Ayia Napa to be away from the noise and yet close enough to walk to each night. Although we booked self catering we ate at the Electra on several occasions. As breakfast and Evening Meals are buffet style I would not suggest you eat here if you are planning to loose weight during your stay. The food was excellent. The only problem is the beach. The Electra is 10 yards from the beach but although the beach itself is sandy the sea bottom close inshore is VERY rocky. If you hire a car dont miss fig tree bay, about 40 minutes drive away to the east, just past Cape Greco. Fine sandy beached right into the water. Loads of watersports and the snorkeling in the shallows is great for the kids with tons of fish to swim see. All in all the holiday was money well spent.

Just got back from the electra booked this last minute and was not cheap our first impressions of the complex was fine, but as the holiday went on we found it to be very boring the food was ok not much choice just the same thing day in day out although you could have as much food and drink as you liked. The Electra claims to be a four star hotel more like three star to be truthful and i found it to be very expensive for what we got it was more quantity than quality. All the staff where very friendly and tried their best to please the entertainment was basic but we did enjoy elvis he was very funny. Would not go again to the electra even though cyprus is very beautiful but the electra was a dissapointment to us all. I also found the cleanliness of the hotel to be of not a high standard, this hotel gets the thumbs down from us.

Enjoyed first time in Cyprus last year so much we decided to visit again in 2004. Booked Electra through First Choice and decided to try all inclusive for the first time.

Apartment large but disappointing - a SINGLE large room (plus bathroom) but no seperate bedrooms. That means no privacy for adults or kids at night. GREAT! Location poor - down the back of an unkempt, unlit backstreet and little of merit/interest on your doorstep (unless of course you want to frequent the nearby 'Strip Club'). Beach next to hotel quiet & clean - probably because the rocks made it impossible to use for bathing! Food ok but very British and very samey. Entertainment was inconsisent. Bingo was a laugh and there were a couple of nights that featured good dancing and singing acts. Other than that it was really poor. The reps night being truly dire - but it's not their fault. If you can't sing you can't sing. But if you're a tour operator with over three grand of my money - you can and should do much much better. Never mind. Have a drink . . . but woe betide any of you who want to stay up late. All inclusive finishes at 12:00 (fair enough). Bar shuts at 01:00 (OK). BUT bar staff turn off all the lights before donning 'SECURITY' tee-shirts at 01:30 and telling you off at every opportunity - for talking too loudly. We were much quieter than the new arrivals who had to navigate the complex in pitch dark to try and find their rooms.

Another interesting feature - it is a local custom for someone to use the pool as a toilet at regular intervals. Twice in the two weeks we were there, the tannoy announced "please get out of the pool and take a shower because there is a 'number 2' in the pool". Lovely - 35 degrees by the pool that you can't go in, and a useless beach next door, so a 40 minute walk to Nissi Bay or Ayia Napa if you want to cool off.

Four star? No way. Not good enough in terms of location, cleanliness, catering or entertainment to get anywhere close. Staff miserable - if you are 'All Inclusive' this includes being ignored in favour of paying guests. At the bar and the restaurant. Avoid at all costs - which as others have said, are high.
