Take a torch for night-time. Returning to the hotel at night is dangerous.

Get a ground room floor as it will help as there are no lifts to the other floors so it can be a bit of a walk with a pram.
Make sure on the strip you visit the Meze restaurant with the funny symbols in the name. It is one of the best Meze places in Protaras. Also Molti was a great restaurant to stay in.

the resort is especcially clean, you can often here the bin men collecting in the morning. No mess on the street or dog litter no where., Resort entertainment: we were a stone throw away from the barley mow pub great quiz nights and yummy ice cream cocktails, and food, kids loved in there pool table and games to play and the staff are friendly with children too, we booked a snorkelling trip with Will behind the bar there flippers it was called, brilliant day out for us and the kids, couldnt knock it, food transport equipment all inclunded felt very safe, our friend could not swim so one of the instructors with her all the time they supplied wet suit and veiw boards so she didnt miss anything and felt completely safe. great value for money too. we went to a few other bars in the area to check out what was going on but we stayed pretty local, beach was lovely ..not dirty.. always someone around to help with umbrellas and beds for 1pound 20cent, and plenty of places to go for an icecream or drink. defently a great place to go, not overpowering with entertainment and loud bars but enough to do and see in 2 weeks... and transport , buses were 80cent each and taxis very reasonable although haggle them you might get it cheaper.

Protaras is a very friendly resort it caters for all the family.Entertainment can be as loud or as quiet as you would like, weekends a bit more hectic with locals ascending to the beach and meeting up with friends.Restaurants cant do enough for you and we would recommend Anatolias restaurant its well worth the visit even if you are all inclusive. The beach is lovely we take bread to feed the fish while snorkeling.Overall the hotel and resort are an excellent choice for a holiday.

Hotel is situated right on the beach but we didn’t go on the beach (sand was too hot to walk on!) just stayed around the pool and Chris and Aerron made it really enjoyable for our son, he loved the mini disco. A trip on the Coca Cola boat is recommended, 2 1/2 hour trip, leaves from the edge of the hotel. Ayia Napa Water park MUST be visited (WaterWorld WaterPark), fantastic!!! (Don’t visit the Protaras one, too dangerous from what we heard)
We loved the Yana Marie Restaurant, the Meze they serve on a Thursday(I think) was great. For families, the Flinestone restaurant should be visited, great food and they have a play area for kids, Little Tikes Slides, play house etc.. Bouncy castle, cartoons on TV, things like that. Loads of lovely places to eat.
Really can’t fault this hotel, highly recommended it!!!

The resort of protaras is based along one long strip of bars and restaurants. There is plenty of entertainment on offer from hypnotists to tribute bands. The love boat pub had a few films on for the kids too, so you could eat your dinner in peace!! There is a McDonald's and a Pizza Hut in the resort which comes in handy if youv'e got fussy kids like mine!!! Fig Tree Bay is definately worth visiting, the water is crystal clear, however, be warned it gets absolutely packed. Overall, the resort is a family orientated place which I would definitely recommend.

Loads to do for all ages. Lots of great places to eat and drink. Had a good day out on Captain Panikkos boat trip Only £6 each half price for kids, he takes you right up to the green line at Famagusta and gives a little talk about the divide. Then back to Cape greco for swimming. All through the trip he is coming along with free wine/juice and fresh fruit, meat balls and snacks (all in the price). Great value for money and friendly personal touch. Leaves from Yannis Marie Beach near the glass bottom Boat.
Had a great welcome from Jimmy and Andreas the brothers who run Ripples Bar Opposite the Sfinx They remembered us even though we had not been to the resort for 6 years. They make the best cocktails on the strip and the service is second to none. You get what you pay for. If you only pay £1 for a cocktail then it,s not worth any more.

This was our first visit to Cyprus, and Protaras was ideal, one of our favourite places was La Pas pub, owned by Adam, just on the corner as you enter the main strip, you had a lovely breeze in the evening as you sip your very strong cocktails! Adam is one of the friendliest guy`s we`v ever met, and the food is excellent too, just pub type meals, and pukka pies! Another favourite place was The Americanos No.1, this is on the road into Protaras coming from the Paralimni end, this is a bit more traditional, and the food is second to none, the service is excellent, and again if you visit more than once you become friends for life, all in all i think Protaras has something for everyone, and will definately visit again.
