Get a ground room floor as it will help as there are no lifts to the other floors so it can be a bit of a walk with a pram.
Make sure on the strip you visit the Meze restaurant with the funny symbols in the name. It is one of the best Meze places in Protaras. Also Molti was a great restaurant to stay in.

Protaras is a great family orientated resort on the east coast of Cyprus. A wonderful resort with loads of bars and restauraunts on Protaras Avenue known as the 'Strip'. A bonus to this resort is the famous 'FigTree Bay' beach, it is one of the best beaches in the med and the sea is warm crystal clear and shallow for about a mile so if you are going with children this is a bonus.

For the past 12 years we have been all over Spain. Now We have been to Cyprus I don't think we will go back. The resort is clean, people are so friendly, there is no pressure when you are walking by places to go in their bars / restaurants. There are so many bars / restaurants you will be spoilt for choice. We never once had a bad meal. There are too many nice places we ate at to mention but Oscars restaurant (opposite McDonalds) is a really nice place to eat. If you like burgers The red Indian is great. We have never seen such huge burgers before. You will not need side orders at this place. Ther are loads of cabarat acts along the srip. The drag act (the twister sisters) were great. You might think it is not really your thing but they will make you laugh. There are plenty of water sports/ activities on offer and reasonably priced. The glass bottom boat is a nice sedate trip along the cost which we got for £2cyp per person. For the thrill seekers i would recommend the dolphin safari on a speedboat which leaves from Ayia Napa harbour. We had such a great time even though we did not get to see any dolphins, although we got to swim in the beautiful cyrstal blue sea. The water park is also another great trip to try out. Protoras is expensive but worth it and we can not wait to go back.

Protaras is a great place brilliant for families, plenty of entertainmant for families, visit the Love boat or rockerfellers for good lively entertainment.

We found the resort to be very clean and tidy, plenty of entertainment in the area with bars and resturants.
The water park was fantastic in aiya napa that was the best day we had well worth the price £15.00 adults and £ 8.00 children.
Beach was ok a little small but very clean plenty of water sports activities going on, 15 min walk and you arrive at fig tree bay and protaras.
Would return again in the near future.

There was loads of bars to go to,to eat as well.kids are welcomed in the bars as well.Went to fig tree bay beach that is lovely there.

The resort was really nice and clean Fig Tree Bay is a must go to. There is lots of water sports there and the sea is beautiful you can swim out to an island that is there and you can see all the fish that if you take bread will feed out of your hand so take a snorkel and mask with you to look at them.
The main strip has all the bars and shops there and you can eat round the world, you have chinese, japanese, italian. You even have a MacDonald and Pizza Hut, was told there was a KFC but didnt manage to find it.
Ya mas bar and Love Boat are a must go to. The bars the staff are all friendly and speak good english, you have theme bars, i.e friends cheers, only fools and horses just to name a few. For a night club you should go to Boogies its old skool and R n B, and you get a free shot and once again the staff are friendly. I celebrated my 40th Birthday while i was there and i couldnt have asked for a nicer time even if i had organised it myself.
I would go back and stop in this resort without thinking twice.

The hotel is set a 20 minute walk from the hustle and bustle of Protaras which we loved , nice walk after dinner.
Pernera town was a five minute walk in opposite direction. Protaras is a busy town with lots of bars,restaurants, clubs and souvenier shops.
Pernera is a little quieter but has a nice restaurant for a fab meze called the windmill.
It has a games room for the kids so when they finsh eating they give you some peace to eat the 24 piece meze. You will need a while to eat this as its not a meal to be rushed.

The resort area we stayed in was about 30 min walk into Protaras(everyone says it takes about 10 mins but with a 9 year old in tow believe me it took us 30 mins).
There are taxis available we chose to walk.
The beaches on this island are fantastic. As we hired a jeep we drove out to a beach called Cape Greco. It was a great day.
The beach that is directly opersite our hotel was rather rocky but never the less it was still beautiful.
Like I said, myself and my family had a fantastic holiday and would recommend this hotel over and over again.
If you have any complaints about this hotel I can only summise you are the sort of person who is never happy with anything ,you know the sort ,a professional moaner.
If your already booked dont worry you will have a fantastic time.......we did.

This was my first visit to Cyprus but it wont be my last.
Great resort very clean.
The entertainment was good but a bit repetetive.
The beaches are clean. To sum up great time, great place and nice people

protarus very nice and clean,entertainment very good , beach outstanding,fig tree bay a must and you will never believe it,no mozzies.would we return,most deffinately,best holiday we`ve had in the last 10 years.
