Get a ground room floor as it will help as there are no lifts to the other floors so it can be a bit of a walk with a pram. Make sure on the strip you visit the Meze restaurant with the funny symbols in the name. It is one of the best Meze places in Protaras. Also Molti was a great restaurant to stay in.

We found the resort of Protaras fantastic and would recommend it to anyone. It was very clean and all the restaurants lovely. We spent most of our evenings in "Cheers" bar as they served meals that were excellent value for money. The spare ribs were a particular favourite of mine.We also saw the comedy hynotist who was also good. There was different things going on in all the bars/restaurants every night so there was always something to do.We only went down to the beach once which was very clean and the sea was beautiful only for the fact we don`t like sand we would have spent more time there.Happy Days supermarket was the only place we found who would change our travellers cheques for nothing and we went there all the time.Waterworld was brilliant but get your tickets from agents outside of the hotel as we saved £25.00 by doing this. Also try the boat trip,it lasts for nearly 3 hours and only cost £22.00 for 2 adults and 2 children well worth the money.

The resort itself is ok.

The Papntonia is situated half way between main Protaras and Pernera.

Protaras is a costal walk away of about 15 minutes there are some small shallow coves on the way ideal for bathing with some great rock pools for the kids to explore.

The costal path takes you to the wonderful beachs of Fig Tree bay, where you will find all your water sports reasonably priced at 8cyp for 1 hour on a pedalo.

Fig Tree bay is shallow warm waters although very crowded.
ayia napa is a 10cyp taxi ride away and about 20 minutes.

We had a lovely meal here. Busy and lively with a great fair for the kids.

Cyprus is a lovely island and I would highly recommend it.

The resort is lovely, went snorkelling in the sea which was brill, I even went paragliding which I didn't think I could do.

The sand is very, very hot, you need to run from the sea to your bed. Went to Protaras water park which was good, also went to ayia napa waterworld which was excellent!!!

What a laugh......ate out a few times, which was ok very expensive though. The town is also nice, not a long distance from where we were staying about a twenty minute walk.

The weather was boiling which I enjoyed!

had a brilliant time in protarus, would recommend it to everybody.
plenty of places to eat,can recommend the china house(chinese) better to book as gets very busy,il basilico(italian, pizza) free cocktails after meal, secret garden, nicolas tavern, divas, the corner restaurant, anatolia restaurant, porkys for lunch, plenty to choose not enough time to try all restaurants.
the beach is lovely and clean but does get busy on a weekend when the locals use it.plenty of water sports and pedlos, etc.
hired a car for 5 days, went to larnaca, pafos, limasol, ayia napa.
the water park in ayia napais amust but go early if you can be there for about 9.30 as the queues get very long , they open the kiosk to sell tickets at about 9.45, if you leave it till after then all the bus trips come. it is very hot if you have to stand in the queues for a long time.
ayia napa for a meal, be prepared to be harrased by the people trying to get you into there restaurants in the main square, people all over offering you free drinks, ice-cream to get you in, only went once had a lovely meal at the la belle epoque restaurant after we had bartered for a bottle of wine and two beers for the men, couldnt put up with that every night, got the bus there it only cost 70cents each.
also you must visit the mountains by jeep safari, one of the best days we had, we went with a firm called trackers and had a driver called bamboss you can e-mail him at info@trackers.com.cy.
also we went on a trip to famagusta ghost town , very sad but worth a visit.
if you are looking for a good resort with lots to do and places to eat you must go to protarus, visited other resorts but definately made the right choice in going to protarus.

Excellent place to stay . Lots of bars restarants and shops . Its a bit pricey so takes lots of money. If you are a beer drinker its all imported so its about £3.60 a pint. Very hot in Aug even on the night. But had a great time and would go back tomorrow if given the chance.

Protarus is great for families. It has plenty of resturants and shops. Dancing Fountains is a must, but go early to get a seat.

Beach was very clean and plenty to do, pedlows boat tours etc.

The local beach was much quieter and very clean with various watersports. There is also plenty to do at night, lots of bars with elvis, robbie williams playing and hypnotists! right on your door step. The best restaurant we went to was a mexican in eden square its quite expensive but worth the money! we also regulary went to a cheap diner called Porkys this was actually better than the majority of restaurants and its was very good food at cheap prices the staff were very friendly in there. I would defiantly go back to protarus but would stay at a different hotel. I also have to say we did try macdonalds and it was lovely better than the UK!

Protaras is a very family orientated resort and we found it quite pleasant.

The beach was lovely and the sea was very warm it could almost have been a caribean beach.

Didnt really eat or drink in any of the bars/resteraunts as we were all inclusive.
