When we arrived at Le Meridien, it was covered in lights as they were preparing for New Year! Inside, the lobby was fantastic, with the gorgeous marble staircase sweeping up through the centre.
The hotel was kept clean, and the cleaning staff were fab, if they called and you wanted an extra ten minutes they'd come back without argument.
The food was okay, although a few people complained of a stomach upset, but being all inclusive you could eat as much as you liked!
The location is perfect for a relaxing break away from the nightlife which is found in Hurghada. The beach is beautiful, and you never know what will walk along it, camels being quite common!
The staff were very friendly, especially in the Dockers Bar, their take on an English pub, although the uniforms are quite military looking!
The entertainment for the kids was a riot! Full of the classics, it even had me joining in at the bar! The adult entertainment was very low budget, but it was on occasions so bad it was good!
I would go back to this hotel, but only if I wanted to do nothing and go nowhere except on the trips through Panorama.

Hotel and grounds very large, kept very clean and towels provided everyday.
Minibar in room (not stocked!) Our room was on second floor in main building where there was a restuarant providing awwful smells along the corrider to our room, also noisy.
Don't bother going all inclusive, the food was boring and cold, one night wee saw a chef carving a leg of lamb and also beef wellingtons, We were looking forward to this but it must have been mutton! could not get our knives into it and was cold and greasy.
The bars are not interested in serving you if you are all inclusive, so we only managed to get a couple of drinks per night. In fact once they saw the armband (why can;t hotels be forward thinking and have other forms of ID to armbands!) they didn't want to know.
Made to feel like 2nd class citizens. Not many British people there and so not catered for us in any way.
Too far from Hurgarda, so no where to walk to. Most definitely not a 5* but only *. Where do Med hotels get there ratings from?
