Hotel was immaculately clean and the rooms we had were spacious and very well kept. Equivalent to a decent 4* english hotel.Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the pool staff and Dinner staff. Concierge were a bit dodgy, always trying to get you to spend money on trips they organise. Had heard a few horror stories so would advise caution.
Entertainment was none existent really. It's possibly the one part they haven't get to grips with, which is a shame. Reps entertainment was terrible, as were the reps themselves....very poor. Irish Bar was very smokey and like a working man's club with no money for decent entertainers, hence the wannabe reps poor show.Ok if you are brain dead

This was our third time at the Coral. Cant fault this place.

The staff are brilliant. Food, beer and just everything is good.

Already booked for Xamas this year. Dont have to tip the staff just respect them as they work very long hours for little pay. My kids cried when we left. Yes adults cry too.

Would recommend this place to anyone. If you go you wiil return.

This is a fantastic hotel, the hotel staff are really friendly and attentive. The standards in this hotel were exceptional. You can walk out to sea and really get an amazing experience by seeing the tropical fish. The food was fantastic and there is loads of choice. You have to pay for the Italian, but that was well worth it! The hotel standards are excellent and everyone is well catered for.

This was second visit to this hotel, having stayed here at about the same time last year. We chose to come earlier this year as towards the end of our holiday last year the large pool was too cold so the sound system which was unbearably loud was moved to the smaller heated pool along with all the aerobics and daytime activities. Thankfully this was not the case this year but was scheduled to happen a few days after we left hence no quiet pool as stated in the brochure.
I enjoyed the aqua aerobics every day while my husband relaxed at the quiet pool.
Once again our spacious accommodation was kept spotlessly clean by Hossam during the first week and Alah the second week. Our bedding was left in attractive designs with flowers on several occasions and over the 2 weeks, having been before we were left flowers and 4 bowls of fruit by the management.
Overall, the hotel was kept clean and tables were cleared promptly.
The hotel food in the dine around was a bit repetative at times and Terry struggled at times to enjoy it although I found something I enjoyed at every meal. We found the mermaid beach restaurant greatly improved both in service and menu at lunch times.it now has waiter service but due to its popularity this can be quite slow at times. However despite reading others good reports on it we were not impressed with the Indian al la carte which the mermaid becomes in the evening (and incurs a

This hotel is probably the best we have visited, after taken in various countries and islands around Europe. To wake up after an early evening arrival and then look out of our room at daybreak was simply to die for.
The staff at the hotel were so helpful that they go that extra mile for a small price (

This hotel was fantastic it was the best hoiliday we have ever been on.

The hotel was immaculate it was kept nice and tidy, the food was also fantastic there was everything to suite anyone. There was pizza you could tell them what you wanted on it and how much which was good they had italian, there food(egyption)they had an english corner a kids corner a stall of bread puddings, to drink there was tea, coffee, orange, anyfizzy drinks and bottled water they were all free if you went all inclusive.

The hotel location was good just 20 mins from the airport and the beech was only less than a metre from the grounds of the hotel which was good.

The hotel staff were very polite and were nice to the childeren by saying hello which was nice for them. The entertainment was fantastic as well some of the shows were unblievable they did some of there own performances, and during the day they held activities for the whole family and for couples, and they always had a chat with you when they were going around the pool.

We would rate to go to this hotel again as it was fantastic and we are going again in November in 2008.

Read all the reports and was very impressed, however, We weren't that impressed at all. It is an impressive looking hotel, the rooms are lovely and big and the beach is lovely but for a hotel that is only about 3 years old it is looking decidedly older. Our room was in a great location tho'. Despite reporting several times the broken door handle on the front door was never fixed. Four times during the fortnight we had no water, although the hotel can't be held responsible for this as it was an external problem, there was no communication to let guests know. My young daughter and her older friend were playing on the large snakes and ladders, when Amy pushed the counter with her foot it broke and a two inch rusty nail went straight through her foot, the hotel were very good but this shouldn't have happened. A few hours later we were on our way to the italian restuarant and in the corridor near our room was a dead kitten. I contacted reception and they removed it straight away but the blood was still there four days later, I threw a bucket of water over the stain in the end. The food was dreadful the first week, no effort made at all, however the second week the food was much better, with the dining room staff dressing for theme nights and a cake decorating competition for the children which was great fun. WE had lunch once in the Mermaid but both my daughter and I had upset stomachs a few hours later (first time ever) so we decided to give that a miss for the rest of the holiday. Snorkelling is not as good as other areas in Egypt but that's probably due to the lack of coral. First Choice staff were very good but why they think all British holiday makers want quizzes and bingo is beyond me, we didn't use the entertainment much but when my daughter did attend the children's clubs etc she really enjoyed it. We didn't attend the beach party but it sounded great. Some of the hotel staff were really lovely whilst others were quite surly which surprised me. The biggest down fall is the rudeness of the Russians, but again the hotel can't be held responsible for that, although they could insit that they queue along with the res tof the guests instead of trying to push their way through. We were in Egypt in April staying at the Concorde El Salaam and found this hotel far superior, The Coral Sea could learn a lot from them. The weather was fantastic, far hotter than it was in April. To sum up, we found a lot of niggly irritating things wrong with the place but not enough to spoil our holiday (apart from the incident with the snakes and ladders and the cat) the sea is and beach are fabualous and the weather is amazing and we met some lovely people, but we won't return to this particular hotel, although we willdefinately go back to Sharm

Not that great unless you want Butlins in the sun. The room was big but rather tired. The Jacuzzi spat out foul smelling black stuff. The food was ok but the restaurant like a works canteen. The wine was undrinkable. The beer was good.
The Italian restaurant was excellent.
Will go to a different hotel next time - the Conrad was far better in our opinion, at least they have coral and fish at the end of the jetty.
