Location
The hotel is excellent in almost all respects: beautiful grounds, lots of space, on the beach and with good sized rooms, which are kept very well. Everywhere was immaculate.
The food in the hotel was ok - not stunning, but there was always something to eat. The vegetables at breakfast were not to my taste(!), but plenty other choices avaialable. Lunch was fine - either in the restuarant or barbecue/sandwiches were on offer outside. Dinner was ok, and the pizzes in the Italian restaurant made to order were lovely.
The new extension across the road is now open although not fully complete and we spent time over there both for lunch and for dinner. The food at dinner was of a much higher standard here - very, very good with an excellent choice. Once we discovered this we ate here each evening.
Drinks were perfectly fine on all inclusive - wine was very drinkable, as was the local beer, and there was a small selection of cocktails. We had no problem with any of it. I liked the fact that bottled water was available trhoughout the resort on an unlimited basis, and the fact that bottled water was left in your fridge each day.
Ice cream was available between 12 and 5pm, and snacks in the morning and afternoon, including packets of crisps on a help yourself basis. You will not starve here that's for sure!! Late night snacks in the chill out bar were little sandwiches or canape type things, sometimes fruit - all fine.
The hotel location didn't bother us because we were here simply to relax for a week. it is very close to the airport, although noise is not evident. However, at the new extension you can see the planes taking off along the runway - didn't bother us when we were over there though.
There is not much outside the hotel - some shops across the road - didn't venture into them, and some other hotels. The location on the beach is excellent, although sunbeds at the beach are at a premium - you need to be there by 7am at the latest. We went at 9am and had no chance! Now that the new extension is up and running, the number of people at the beach will be significantly increased and space is at a premium there.
However, when we were there we just left our stuff on the sand while we snorkelled, and managed to get beds later in the day. The snorkelling is superb, and was the highlight of my holiday - so many fish so close to the shore. Absolutely fantastic.
The staff in the hotel are wonderful- always smiling and eager to help. There were no queues for anything when we were there - service at all bars was efficient, and the waiters were lovely - carrying your plate back to the table, and filling your glass as soon as it was empty. We tipped waiters, and also the boy who cleaned our room at the start and end of the holiday and received excellent service.
Entertainment is fairly dire, as I expected, but personally I am not a fan of hotel animation teams. I know other people enjoy the activities on offer, and there were plenty, but it's not my thing, so I found the constant "wake up" shouting round the main pool a bit wearing!! Other pools were much quieter though so I could have avoided this. However, most of the animation team seemed to work very hard. I didn't see much of the evening entertainment - we preferred to take a walk round the grounds after dinner and sit at the sunset bar or at the bar at the extension.
When we checked out at 12 noon, we were allowed to use all the facilities until our pick up time at 3.15pm which I though was a real plus point.
There are lots of repeat guests here, and it is not hard to see why. This hotel represents excellent value with a good level of facilities and terrific service.
Would I visit again? Absolutely and without a doubt: I am already looking for a deal for next year!

The main Pool is nice and big with plenty of room for the sunbeds though it is very deep in places. There are also a couple of nice smaller pools dotted around. As with a lot of resorts nowdays unfortunately you have to get get up early to get a good location poolside (Sign says no reservations prior to 6am which means some people reserve just after)
The food is varied with differnt theme nights though we were a little disapointed with the quality. (the food was a lot better at the Concorde next door which we stayed in 2 yrs previously). Yes there are fresh Pizzas/grilled meats etc though after a few days the selection was a bit monotonous. Having bottles of free Fresh mineral water at the bars was nice and very welcome in the heat.
The beach area is quite small though has a jetty which is good for snorkelling and seemed to be less crowded than other hotel beaches.
One of my main gripes was having to pay for the minibus
into Namba Bay (150 Egyption each/eachway) this is free
at other resorts and a bit of a cheek when it only drops you at the other Hilton which is a 10min walk from the centre of town.
Overall it is a nice relaxing hotel though a little quiet in the evenings. I would not go back to this resort as although everything was fine there are better Hotels along the bay.

Would definitely go back, not many places in the world I would, but Sharks Bay is a winner.

There is a great choice of food and if you cannot find something to eat then you must be very fussy, there are always soup, meat, fish, pasta, pizza's, salads, chips, jacket potatoes, and lots more on offer.
rooms all have a fridge with water, sprite, fanta orange, coke and beer, tea and coffee replenished every day.Cleanliness is second to none that is in the rooms and everywhere in the hotel and grounds.
The resturant staff are great especially Amir and Ahmed.
There is not a lot outside of the hotel altough there are some shops etc having there finshing touches added. There is a hotel courtesy bus that goes to namma bay

The hotel was spotless, staff were so friendly, the food and local beer in my opinion was excellent, we were so relaxed for the week no screaming kids, no 18-30s there was a new hotel being built next door directly across from our room but to be honest we could hear very little noise.
We will definetly be going back..oh and the room cleaner alah what this man could do with a towel you would not believe it...

The food choices were varied with something to suit everyone at each mealtime. The freshly made pizzas are particularly good. The deserts & late night snacks are improved from last year.
Hotel location ideal for us as a group, but if you want more nightlife it may be a little isolated being about 15 mins by courtesy bus or taxi to Naama bay,
All the staff are very friendly and welcomed us warmly especially as return guests. The pool staff are extremely helpful as were the waiters in the restaurants. We were asked for comments about the hotel by management at a specially organised meeting.
The entertainment team work hard and are fantastic people but evening entertainment is a little limited. The day time programme of sports activities is repetetive and would benefit from more variety but is fun all the same.
We had a fab relaxing holiday again and I would certainly recommend this hotel & return here in the future.

Hotel was spotless. Rooms nice and clean and fairly large.
Hotel general location was fine for us. There is a slope to the man made sandy terraces with plenty of shade and loungers. Slope not a problem unless you are lazy. If you had a walking disability I am sure a buggy would be provided ( have seen disabled people at hotel)
Food is quite good. Plenty of choice. Pizzas are the best anywhere!! Think it would be repetive for anyone on AI any longer than a week.( would be fine if you only had one choice on your plate each meal instead of bits of everything)Waiters work so hard. The staff do care about its guests and if you request anything reasonable I am sure they will accomodate you.
Drinks although local brands are fine. Wine is better now than before.Service good at all bars.
Lunch good at sunset bar with fresh rolls, hotdogs and crisps. ( please do veggie burgers)
The oriental night is fantastic and the entertainment v good even tho we have seen this many times.
I am returning again in November.
This is almost like my second home and I am very well travelled but always aim to stay here at least once a year because it is so relaxing and is a good AI as you can expect.
The staff are great and I have never seen them pester anyone for tips as indeed we never tip until the end of our holiday.
The only thing I would like to see different is to have veggie burgers at lunch.

We arranged with the hotel for a taxi to pick us up from the airport and on arrival a man holding our name up took us to the hotel it all ran very smoothly.
The reception staff greeted us with a very warm welcome and we were shown to our room.
The hotel was very clean with beautiful grounds.
The sunset bar at the beach was very relaxing lovely to sit with the views over the Red Sea.
The hotel is the average Hilton but the staff are excellent, very efficient and hard working. You never had to queue for anything. They went out of their way to please.
The food had plenty of choice and was of good standard.
We had a meal on the beach that was excellent.
mWe would recomend this hotel and will visit again soon
