Location
Hotel very clean, staff always cleaning inside and out lots of beds by pool and beach but if you want your bed in your favorit place i.e by the bar or where ever then yes you will need to get up early(6.30 7.30).
No need to take towels as these are supplied, nice place to relax, nice breeze, take high factor creams/oils you will need them.
Would say 4 star hotel not 5 star as sold to me but I got a last minute bargain

The staff couldn't do enough for us and although the food wasn't the best ever, it matched other AI hotels I have stayed in - the usual i.e. Rice/Veg/Fish/Pasta/Pizza/Chips/lovely desserts/egg station at breakfast/Danish pastries/salad bar etc etc. We always take into account paying to eat out on any AI holiday at least 2-3 times, just to get a nice steak! You can't expect somewhere catering for over 1000 people to do everything a la carte.
Location was approx 10 min cab ride from Naama Bay (Main area). Cost about

Our large airy bedroom with superb sea views was kept immaculate with fresh linen and clean fluffy white towels almost every day. The 'bed sculptures' were a lovely fun touch.
As Saga holidaymakers we were treated like royalty. No queueing for a table in the Bora Bora restaurant, our own special lounge and library and a fantastic Saga rep called Alaa Hussein. In fact all the staff were fabulous.
The food was plentiful, varied and tasty and far better than some of the other hotels we heard about.
The only downside is the entertainment, plenty for the children by the pool but nothing much for the over 10 year olds. Out of 14 days the pianist only played once and the 2 man combo twice.

The hotel staff were extremely hospitable and genuinely keen to make the experience as good as possible. I tipped at the end of my stay for restaurant, cleaning and my tour guides but this wasn't expected, though gratefully received.
The cleaning staff not only did their job thoroughly, but the wonderful range of towel sculptures I found on my bed each day was truly artistic! I even photographed a couple of them.
Food was of high quality in the Bora Bora restaurant where SAGA guests eat and plenty of it. I did take precautions that I would take anywhere in Eqypt as a foreigner, e.g. no raw leaf salads or uncooked vegetables. No ice added to drinks. I also made a point of choosing food cooked in front of me, i.e. barbecued meat and fish and fresh omelettes and pasta which were delicious. The vegetables and herbs were lovely. We also ate one night in the Fish restaurant where the quality was very good, bream fillets, grey mullet and ten large prawns for five dollars. Lobster and crab a bit more.
The location of the hotel is magnificient - wonderful lush gardens, immaculately kept and spectacular pool overlooking the sea.
Entertainment was limited but I did enjoy the poolside and beach aerobics and yoga and the arab dancing troupe. Anyway we made our own.
There are a lot of steps to the beaches. These are 1, 2 & 3 belonging exclusively to the hotel, but it makes the setting even more spectacular and there is a little bus service that goes up and down all the time.
When I visited, the hotel was only half full which I think made it all the more enjoyable. It is a big hotel complex with 722 rooms so there could be well over 1000 guests at peak times. Complex is only even on two floors so no lift needed. The hotel foyer is magnificent with waterfalls and bridges.
I would definitely go again.

Entertainement was good and food variety was outstading, I would certainly recommend this hotel to any holiday maker and I did tell lots of my family and friends about it

The room was ok, average size, about half way between main complex and beach and cleaned everyday.
The food was good especially if you opted for the freshly cooked things at meal times. e.g. omeletts at breakfast, pasta, or the specialty, etc at other times, but overall a good varied choice and NO tummy upset at all. A choice of 7 restaurants. (We didn't use the sea food restaurant).
The bar and restaurant staff are fantastic and love the English, get friendly with them and show your appreciation with a small tip 10-20LE (

Overall the food was excellent and the chef at no.1 beach (having worked in London retaraunts) went out of his way to show guests true Egyptian hospitality.
All the staff were friendly and nothing was ever too much too ask. Small tips are not expected and are truelly appreciated as the average wages are low.
The entertainment was varied, and as we spent Chritmas and New Year at the hotel, extra acts were laid on all of which were good.
We would definitely visit the hotel again.

The swimming pool was huge and very nice and there are 3 private hotel beaches to choose from. However the entertainment was extremely poor, and we felt that we were better off to go to bed. The hotel is full of Russians and English are few and far between here.
The food was also ok, there is always something you can eat, which is important as we have a 3 year old.
We went into Naama Bay twice by taxi from the hotel which we found safe and we were not bothered by local people at all. You will find taditional resturants here as well as Hard Rock Cafe and Pizza Hut.
We would return to this hotel.

As for tummy upsets, I do think this is bad luck or bad eating, not cleanliness. I have been many times and have been lucky. A lot of British we speak to have gone on a bender for the first night and this starts the problems.
Don't let any hotel put you off Sharm, it is really lovely and very cheap if you need to eat out.
