Rooms were very clean and of a good size.
The food was brill lots of restaurants to choose from and all serving different dishes.
Pool is massive with a wave machine.
There is 4 beaches you can go on takes about 10 minutes walk to get to each of them.
Staff were very friendly to the British as we do not give them any stick, the Germans were very rude to to the staff always demanding.
Jewel In The Crown Holidays are one of the best tour operators I have found, we was out there when the July bombs happened and Jewel In The Crown Holidays worked great with the hotel.
Recommend this hotel to families and couples and book with Jewel In The Crown great value for money.
I will definitely be back next year.

The hotel was lovely and the staff and cleanliness were excellent.
The food was OK but our 7 year old found it hard to find things he liked, he was beeing a pain though!
There were lots of stairs in the hotel, about 150 from Beach 1 to the main pool and the resaraunts but that was OK and climbing them justified the extra drinks!
We found the childrens club and entertainment were poor, there was no dedicated club to leave the children and the entertinment team did the same entertainment every day and night, mainly for the children and then a few daily aerobics sessions for the adults. They were very pleasant and hard working and did try but I feel that they lacked direction and could have done with some new ideas.
We went to the local village of Nama Bay and ate at the Hard Rock Cafe, all of us were ill after that. Maybe a coincidence as it seemed fine but the only time we all ate the same thing.
I would return to Egypt again as I found the country fantastic and the people amazing. The organisation and security at the airport put the UK to shame.
Next time I would go for 2 weeks and be closer to Luxor, Cairo etc to see more of the country. It was a long way to go for a week but I am glad we went.
Some short points:
Taxi from the airport. Phone the hotel and ask them to send a taxi for you

Didnt like all the steps-service was terrible,I dont know whats wrong with these people-if you hate the job LEAVE!Rooms were a bit ropey, but its just an old place. But it would seem that all Egyptians have a problem with putting things in the fridge-I dont even drink beer but I had to as nothing else was cold, all fruit juices are left out on counter and forget cocktails!!!
As I said this place was OK compared to the other place(Prima Rehana-never go!),but no way would we ever go back to Egypt. We saw the pyramids but even that was ruined by the beggars/sellers and lack of control of them.
A real shame. Back to the carribean for our next all-inc,where they know how to do it properly!!

It has a great location overlooking the sea, the rooms were very clean and the staff always smiling. We spent most of our days on the beach with the cooling sea breaze and found the snorkling excellent.
We would advise going through the white gate to the left of Beach One and onto the public beach at Sharks Bay where there is a great reef off of the Blue Pontoon. We saw lots of amazing fish plus a Sting Ray and a Giant Motay Eel.
We had our Breakfast and Evening Meal in the Bora Bora which was very good and had four lovely meals in the Tia Pan Restaraunt. We mainly drank the Rose Wine which was nice and continually toped up by the friendly staff. We would visit the Pyramisa again.

The rooms are exceptionally clean, although the hotel in general needs a little updating and in places quite a lot of maintenance. We had towel sculptures almost daily (especially if you gave a tip). We had a room overlooking the sea and the rest of Sharks Bay. It was so wonderful to wake up and look out across the sea whilst led in bed.
The main swimming pool is huge and never seems to be full. The wave machine was good fun and was turned on every hour. We never seemed to be able to get beds here, especially those with shades, as most people as selfish and put their towels down early in the morning. The second pool was small and a little dirty. We visited this once in our whole two weeks.
The shops in the lobby are in a corridor. We used to call it 'running the gauntlet' as you could not go down there without each and every shop owner trying to get you into their shop. Make sure you barter though as you can get ripped off. We found this good fun in the end. There are also shops by beach one. Again you should barter, but they are quite relaxed and you can sometimes get away with just browsing.
We really loved this holiday and spent most of our days on the beach snorkelling. The hotel staff were fantastic and liked a laugh, although occasionally one or two were just out for a tip. We tipped at the end of the holiday. Usually a couple of quid. The food is good but can be repetitive, but we could not really find fault in anything about our stay.

Our cases were whisked off and we were told they would be taken down ready for when we got to our room. We were escorted to our room by a man who made affensive remarks at me which made me feel very uncomfortable.
We found our room a little tatty, no hose on the hair dryer and a hole in the wall at the back of the bed. We did have lovely views of the sea and our room was cleaned daily by a friendly member of staff, in fact he was the only member of staff who I saw smile!
We never sat round the pool area we preferred the beach especially beach 3. The snorkling was out of this world off this beach & we had been on two boat trips snorkelling but still it was better.
The food we found not so good, on the second day we both fell ill with food poisoning, my partner went to the chemist and brought me some pills but this just eased it a little but we were determined not to let it spoil our holiday (this was the first holiday for me in 8 yrs).
We booked up to go on a quad bike in the dessert this was great fun but beware of the dust it gets in every nook and cranny! They kept saying about wait till you see the sunset, well I have seen better sunsets off the Isle of Wight.
I would rate this hotel 2-3 star, they need to employ proper chefs so at least the food would taste a little better, improve on the entertainment, give all the staff hospitality training and to improve the standards of the rooms.
We did enjoy the holiday but I wouldn't return to this hotel again in a hurry.

Although we found the staff to be pleasant, there was no service whatsoever. We had to battle our way through the many rude Russian tourists to get served at the bar. There was a telephone in every room, but no dial tone. The mini bar contained 2 bottles of water and 2 bottles of beer on our first night, and nothing for the rest of our holiday.
The hotel also advertises itself as a casino...there is no casino.
We had to take it in turns every morning to secure sunbeds, setting our alarm at 6am. If we didn't, there was nowhere to sunbathe. Even then, there was no sense of personal space from other foreign tourists, who crowded around our sunbeds to either sit in the shade of our parasol or lie in the sun right next to us.
The worst part of the holiday for us was the extremely poor entertainment. Every day, 10.30am-1pm and again at 3.30pm-6pm and again at 8pm-midnight, the most annoying music was blared out of speakers across the pool. Music which included 'Agadoo', 'The Birdie Song', 'Hokey Kokey', 'If you're Happy and you know it', 'The Music Man', 'Pizza Hut' etc etc and versions of these songs in French, Italian, German and Russian. Often these songs were played three times in a row, volume increasing each time. It really was torture.
The restuarants were poor, all providing the same food but presented in slightly different ways. Both of us suffered from bad stomachs and are still suffering 3 days after returning back home. The only good meal we had was in the fish restaurant, where we almost felt we were in a 5 star hotel.
The views were stunning, the service good and the food lovely. However, we had to pay extra for this, and no sooner had we finished our meal did the music mentioned above come blasting out of speakers into the restaurant at which point we left quickly to our room.
It is such a pity, as the hotel has the potential to be a very good one as the location is ideal and the snorkelling amazing. But so much needs to be addressed, and the whole place needs refurbishment.

We found this hotel exceptionally clean and staff very friendly.
Food in the two main restaurants (out of 7) was varied and very plentiful. Fresh choice of breads and croissants, fruit, cereals, omelettes etc, tea, coffee for breakfast.
Then off to the lower pool(less busy!) 20 waddles to the first of three private beaches and a quick snorkel and Nemo watching session before a step class...be warned 121 steps to be precise! back up to the main building for lunch, again an agonizing choice of meat, chicken and fish dishes, rice, pasta and salad bar..Oh and a beer or wine (not the white...yuk) obviously to wash it down.
Dinner was a variation of lunch though with the odd Chefs artistic rearrangement bearing in mind that they have to cater for many international tastes we suppose. As for stomach upsets, we had none luckily, apart from an increase in girth for him due to the wide choice of desserts! Just avoid the obvious when in hot countries.
The room was spotless with fresh towels and sheets every day though depended it seemed on whether you bunged the cleaner a tip on day one if you got a blanket sculpture or not!
Tipping it seems is an art here, 2 Egyptian Pounds a time seemed to be acceptable, though when you earn
