Try to get a sea view room overlooking the lovely gardens and sea.
The buffet is excellent and we did not get sick.
Amazing place.

You must upgrade to the best rooms, as all rooms in need of new furniture and decor etc. must have a seaborne or pool view room too.
Charging for wifi in this day and age is disgusting hotels just making money out of you for all extras.

Staff very helpful, good food, rooms very clean. The staff go out of their way to help you day or night. Try the Italian restaurant, it has good steak and you will go back again.

Deluxe & Superior rooms in the main hotel.
Room 1210, spacious and quiet over looking the swimming pool.
Onions is a good restaurant to try, but being on the all inclusive, we did not try, but a lot of guests did.

Even number rooms face the sun, odd number rooms are on the dark side and never see the sun.

Excellent times to be had in Soho Square.

The resort of sharm el sheikh is spread over an area hugging approx 40 kilometers of red sea coastline and the Hilton Sharks Bay is actually on White Knights Bay. There isn't much in the area about 4 hotels and Soho Square if you fancy a change of scenery from your own hotel.
The main place to go is Namma Bay, but you would need to travel there in either a cab or on a hotel shuttle bus. it's got lots of restaurants, shops, bars and hotels, plus a few clubs so is well worth a visit.

Outside the hotel, Soho Square is a 2 min walk away and we found this lovely, especially with the dancing waters. There are lots of nice shops and restaurants if you wanted a change from the hotel. We also went to Cleo Water Park, which again we thoroughly enjoyed. Lots of great slides and a great day out, but it is in the middle of no-where and is roasting hot!!
This was our second visit to Sharm and All in all I would definitely return to the Sharks bay area again. I would also definitely return to the Sunrise Island View again as I thought it was a great family friendly hotel.

sharm has gone downhill as there are not as many tourists as before the shops and markets have trebled there prices so even if you barter with them and manage to get them down by 50% you will still be getting ripped off my advice stay well away until they sort themselfs out.

Most activities in Sharm are based around the hotels, but it is worth visiting Soho Square one night for a bit of a change. We did go for a little walk and it's just miles of yellow golden sands. THis is the kind of resort where you need to get your hotel choice really spot on.

You did not have to stay in the hotel and people did go out on a night there were plenty of bars just out side the hotel and shops. There is a chemist and a supermarket/

Resort outside of hotel is quite busy with numerous new hotels, shops, etc being built, If you do venture outside of hotel you will be hassled by shop keepers etc which does get on your nerves it did mine anyone they just don't take no for an answer & at times they will follow you in an attempt to get you into their shops but be assertive & strong & they will eventually get fed up of trying to tempt you lol !
Outside there are bars & restaurants, a Mc Donalds, KFC, & a new Plant Hollywood under construction.
Beach can be accessed straight from hotel grounds with lots of sunbeds & parasols, along with beach snack bar & bar, also a Fruitella juice bar , & electric quads for children to hire to drive along a small safe pathway between beach & hotel.

As we were in an all inclusive we didn't leave the hotel that many times, however the beach is amazing! Snorkelling is a must and snorkels can be rented for £3 each per day (we found it cheaper to buy our own from the hotel shop!)There are lots of trips on offer, we did the market visit, St Catherine's Monestary and quad biking adventure! The quad biking was great fun so would definately reccommend and would also reccommend seeing St Catherine's Monestary as very good price for a full day's trip! But beware it does take 3 hours on a small bus to get there! We also visited Soho Square which is only 5 mins in a taxi. A strip of shops and bars owned by the Savoy hotel so no shop keepers can hassel the customers, nice to go on a Saturday night to watch the entertainment in the square.
