Try to get a sea view room overlooking the lovely gardens and sea.
The buffet is excellent and we did not get sick.
Amazing place.

You must upgrade to the best rooms, as all rooms in need of new furniture and decor etc. must have a seaborne or pool view room too.
Charging for wifi in this day and age is disgusting hotels just making money out of you for all extras.

Staff very helpful, good food, rooms very clean. The staff go out of their way to help you day or night. Try the Italian restaurant, it has good steak and you will go back again.

Deluxe & Superior rooms in the main hotel.
Room 1210, spacious and quiet over looking the swimming pool.
Onions is a good restaurant to try, but being on the all inclusive, we did not try, but a lot of guests did.

Even number rooms face the sun, odd number rooms are on the dark side and never see the sun.

You are a good distance away from Naama Bay. You will need to get a taxi there. This you will have to haggle for and it does tend to get on your nerves after the first few nights. It will cost about £3.50 each way but well worth it.The food in Naama is so much cheaper. On average it will cost you max £20 for 2 including a lovely local beer (£2.50 each) You can buy these in the super market for £1 a bottle and take them back to the hotel to drink on your balcony. It was a nice change to leave the hotel at night to meet the locals. If you want to keep it quiet and relaxed then dont go to Naama as it is a little busy! We enjoyed the food and the locals company. Nothing is priced in the shops so be prepared!
We also walked to a place called Il Macerto (i think thats how you spell it!) It is a lovely place to visit and not busy like Naama Bay. It will take you about 15 mins to walk there, it is really clean and has several shops, you will not be hassled to purchase their goods, you can look at your own pleasure.
You will need to walk the jetty to get to the sea, well worth it to see the fish and take photo's. This is also where you do your snorkling, snorkles can be bought in Naama for £6.
We did not stay out until late at night so unable to comment on the entertainment, but I am sure you will not be dissapointed.

The hotel and surrounding area was very clean and there are lots of shops, bars, coffee shops and yes McDonalds if you like that sort of thing just down the road. For a family we found the location ideal as it was fairly quiet but I would say that perhaps younger couples would prefer Namma Bay (20 mins cab ride). The beach was very lovely and had great sunbeds and parasols and beach bars and even a camel and horse riding but with water only a few inches deep for what seemed about half a mile snorkelling and swimming is a problem. Yes I would visit again.

The beach was OK, but because of the coral it was too shallow for the first hundred metres or so.
Will definitely be going back next year....

Tourism has caught up and spoilt Naama Prices have soared and the locals (some of them~)do not take a simple and polite NO for an answer. It's a shame!!!

Sharm El Sheikh itself has become almost a caricature of a cheap med destination - or Southend Sea Front!! It's filled with shop after shop selling the same tatt, in front of which the sellers will stand and try to entice you into their shop with offers of their tea or hospitality. This can become quite frightening as they grab you and try to drag you off. This could be because we were two females on our own - albeit we're not youngsters!!
We went to a brilliant place called Alf Leila Wa Leila Fantasia - it's a lovely Aladdin meets Disneyland building, loads of brightly coloured Onion shaped roofs and displays of Ancient Egyptian statues etc. Yes, it's a bit tacky, but we found it quite entertaining. In the centre there's a circle of shops with a sort of ampitheatre in the centre surrounded by seats where you can enjoy drinks or food. The entertainment starts at 11pm (very late we thought) and consists of music and dancers. Very entertaining and well worth the 15LE (£1.50) it cost to get in!
The beaches we went to belonged to the hotel and were ok, there was a coral beach with lots of nice fish for the snorkellers and a sandy shelved beach, in a sort of lagoon-bay, which had lovely warm water and no (well hardly any) fish.
At time of writing I would not wish to return to Sharm, there are too many lovely places in the world left to visit and Sharm has become so overcommercialised and somewhat cutthroat. There is nothing like the sea at Sharm for snorkelling, it's warm, the fish are amazing!! It's beautiful. However I think you can get the same sea at Dahab or Taba and I think I would try these in the future. The egyptian people are really lovely, if you can get them to stop pestering you. I did find it very trying that all the way along the street you are accosted with "what's your name" "where are you from". It's not anyone's business what my name is, and I found that contrary to reports that if you politely say "No thank you" they'll go away, it's simply not the case. They don't give up and you end up being rude, and that doesn't lend itself to an enjoyable or relaxing holiday.

We were very impressed with this resort. After initially being placed overlooking the construction of the aquapark we spoke with our rep and managed to relocate rooms. From the information we heard following the same it appears that the british contingency are all placed in the same rooms overlooking the building site and if you don t ask you get left there. This is a terrible shame as may put off many people from enjoying a fantastic resort.

Hotel, all gardens and pool areas were kept clean and tidy. Rooms cleaned every day, clean sheets, towels etc. Staff constantly cleared away glasses and food from tables, nothing too much trouble. Had no problems getting drinks from the bar at any time, small queues at times in the restaurant, but hey I was on holiday, no rush for me!!Lots of choice for all inclusive drinks, 3 bars, one air conditioned, one overlooking the red sea, enough seats for everyone.
It was the hottest place we've been (45 degrees at times) but free water was always available from the bar and water stations. It was fantastic at night to be able to sit out in the warmth of a Sharm evening, beer in hand, friendly people and being in such a great place.
The beach was small but has several tiers, plenty of sunbeds. The water is crystal clear, warm (27 degrees) and full of the most amazing fish and coral and so interesting for snorkelling. Every day was a different experience, just fantastic!!
Would like to thank the manager who was a geordie boy who shall remain nameless, for his attention to detail and to his credit, was open to constructive criticism from myself and other people. His staff had great respect for him which I thought was outstanding.
Would definitely go back, without a doubt. Excellent, great hotel, great staff, perfect weather, every day was a good day- that was a top holiday
P.S. book a romantic meal on the beach, with 'Shaky' it's memorable to say the least.Worth every penny, cordon bleu food, romantic setting, red sea, moonlight, oh! and the wife- it was her 50th bless her.

namma bay is great, lovely beach with beautiful fish and crystal clear waters, lots going on on the beach in the day and in the night the place comes to life with lots of bars decorated with pretty bright lights it looks like chritmas and a lot of places to eat.

Naama bay is what it is..and you either love it or hate it. It is a mass of sprawling shops, lights, glitz and tackiness. Plenty of places to eat..the beaches are ok, the jetties where you leave for the diving are chaotic and you get constantly hassled rather aggressively by blokes trying to sell you some peice of tat or another.
I was not so keen on that side of things but I would go back..purely because of the diving and it is a necessary evil for me to put up with the **** to get the good stuff. Me, well I prefer somewhere quieter where i can browse shops without hassle.
