My name is Dawn and i stayed in the hotel telemachos with my boyfriend Adam on the week begining 15th September 2003 (yes just got back) and i LOVED it!!!!! the meals weren't all that i must admit but i was only b&b so can't really complain the rooms are basic but for b&b what do you expect? The staff were great really friendly bought us drinks on occasion got on with them really well INCLUDING the manager (yes that's right ) lol. He was very nice always said good morning/evening, bought us drinks here and there and even saw us off on our last night gave us a warm hug and told us to takecare and have a safe journey! as for the all inclusive bar being (far) away from the pool that is rubbish it's not very much futher back at all and what's a few more steps anyway? Something did go missing in my room and i had to complaine about it no one saw me as a trouble maker at all and the next day there it was folded up on the pillow (me thinks the cleaner stole it) so beware, and yes cold showers were frequent but you had certain times that you had hot water so if you pay attention then there will be no more cold showers and less complaining!! the times for hot water i found were as follows...8-9:30am and 5-6:30pm stick to those times and your guarenteed a hot shower. Just down a hill at the end of the hotel are the shops, restaurants, bars, and the beach is not a long walk at all however if you like a bit more scenery etc i would advise you to hire either a moped or a car. This is because at the moment we were told that taxi fairs are 20 euros and although buses are cheaper they are not very reliable at all! this is because the greeks are very layed back. If you get a ground floor appartment be prepared for the creapy crawlies ewww lol it wasn't too bad in my room and i didn't mind as much when i found out that crickets actually eat the mossies lol! Umbrellas for the pool area are available on request and the entertainment isn't too bad the karaoke is the best i thought but it depends what you like and what holiday you are looking for Dassia is a great centre point for traveling either way and my b/f and i covered the whole top half of the island ina matter of days on the moped so well worth doing that. All in all the hotel and area and people around it were fantastic made friends with the waiters, manager, and some of the other holiday makers as well was a great holiday and i wouldn't hesitate in going back there at all i deffinately give it the thumbs up (from a b&b point of view lol).

hi my name is ema and i am 16, me and my family and a friend went to the Telemachos hotel in Dassia on July 11th 2003 for a week and we went all inclusive. Before we went away i looked on the internet to find some info on the hotel and we were upset to find bad reports on the hotel, so we went away expecting the worst, but we were pleasantly surprised. Many reports i had read said that the hotel was on a steep hill, the hotel is on abit of a hill but it is far from steep and is not very long. When we arrived at the hotel it was the middle of the night but we were still welcomed by friendly staff who showed us to our rooms and told us everything we needed to know.
The rooms in the hotel are basic like some reports have mentioned but they have everything you need, our room was cleaned every other day, which consisted of the floors being cleaned and swept if they needed to be, beds made, bins emptied and balconys cleaned. The towels in our room were changed twice while we were there and the bedding once which was fine.
I must admit there was a lack of things to do while in the hotel but unlike some reports say, what was there was good. There is a nice swimming pool which was cleaned everyday, a pool table, table tennis and a park for children. Around the pool there were a fair amount of sun loungers, enough for the amount of people that were at the hotel at the time of us being there but maybe not enough when really busy. There are 2 bars near the pool one is an all inclusive bar and the other you have to pay for your drinks. The all inclusive bar serves hot and cold snacks throughout the day, toasties, pizza, sandwiches, hotdogs, ice cream etc and a selection of cold drinks such as lemonade, coke, limeade, orange juice and alcoholic drinks such as bacardi, vodka, beer, ouzo, rum. Which was enough selection for us and was all good quality. But i do agree with people when they say that it wasnt good that the the all inclusive drinks finished at 9.30 but you can get drinks and keep them at your table for later or buy drinks from the other bar.
All the meals served at the hotel were self service but the food was good quality, the hot food was hot and the cold food was cold and well presented.
The food that was served for breakfast ranged from bread and jam to fried breakfast and cereal.
At dinner there was a range of different salads, pastas and rice dishes.
For tea there was also lots of different salads but there was also a set menu which changed daily with things like lasagne, roast chicken and some nights barbecues.
The entertainment wasnt brilliant but it was bareable, this ranged from kareoke to bingo and dancing. Most nights when we were in Corfu we went out of the hotel and went on trips to Corfu town late nite shopping, a trip of the local islands eg paxos. We also went to Ipsos to experience the nite life which was fun for me and my friend being 16, Ipsos is full of clubs and cocktail bars and is very loud, good for younger people but my parents enjoyed it there aswell.
The beach in Dassia is very long and shingley but it is nice and you can do a number of watersports from here and boat trips and there are lots of restaurants and bars on the beach, but to get the most out of your holiday i suggest that you travel out of Dassia as there are many lovely places to visit.
I thought i should write this report to reassure all the people who are going to this hotel and have seen bad reports as we did and to let you know that my holiday to this hotel was one of the best i have been on and i hope you have a nice holiday

I have just come back from a weeks holiday with my friends at the Telemachos hotel. We are 18 and have just finished school so this was our celebratory holiday, and i think these comments about the hotel are completely inaccurate. The hotel is basic its not a five star as stated in the brochure so you shouldnt be expecting rooms that are particularly glamourous. They do however have the basic things you need- a toilet, beds, bedside tables, chairs, small coffee table type thing and a vanity unit with a mirror and that was in a double room, they also had a room for four ( we had a party of six so we had a room for two and a room for four) which is certainly suitable for larger groups. each of the rooms also had adequate wardrobe space built in and the bigger room also had an extra wardrobe. the towels are only changed once a week but then it is only a small hotel, if your towel does manage to get dirty enough then it would not be difficult to wash it and i can only imagin that if you did ask for a clean one the staff would be very accomadating as they were all very friendly. All of the staff speak english which is good if you speak little or no greek. They were all warm and friendly and happy to help and the waiters frequently laughing and making jokes with us.
The all inclusive bar isnt Right next to the pool but its barely a thirty second walk from the pool, it also had a much larger seating area than the regular bar and it was sheltered. The food was also really good we certainly took adavantage of the all inclusive ice cream which was lovely. The pizza you can get here is also very good quality better than shop bought stuff here.
There is a hotel shop where you can by many essentials such as toiletries and swim stuff- even lilos for the pool. they also sell postcards a lot cheaper than the local shops (30c at the hotel, 60c in local shop.)
The previous descripitions here of the hotel entertainments is also grossly inacurate. Each night in the week the hotel lays on a differents entertainment. during our week we experienced: greek dancing and plate smashing- which everyone is encouraged to take part in, bbq's, kareoke, live music, local dancers- belly dancing and getting everyone to join in with things such as the macarena, a happy 'hour' from 9pm- 11pm where the cocktails are half price ( the hotel special is especially good). all of these take place in the evenings, pool side with a lovely atmosphere. going all inclusive also lays open further entertainment opportunites. during the reps welcome meeting there are a series of activities listed in which you have the chance to take part. these are at extra cost but because they take place outside the hotel. you will be picked up from just outside the hotel though by the olympic coach and taken to the destintion and brought home again. so i would strongly recomend taking some extra money to give you the chance to take part although you can pay by credit card. The two i went on which i would highly recommend were the Greek night and shopping in corfu town. The grrek night was amazing fun and you are served a four course tradtional greek meal which is very nice and they is the opportunity for the veggie alternative. The corfu shopping trip was fantastic, the old town is beautiful, the souveniers are plentiful, people are very friendly, and because you go from 5.30pm-10pm (6pm-9.30pm is spend there) it is not so hot and you will be able to see the sun set over the old port which is beautiful.
Overall i had a fantastic time the hotal is certainly adequate for those out to enjoy some R and R but provides fantastic entertainment at the same time. it is a few minutes walk away from bars and clubs and young people looking to go clubbing till the early hours its worth getting a taxi to Ipsos where there are many bars and clubs. We also found it was worth going down from the hotel to the nearest beach about 4.30ish and just walking/sitting down there and watching the sunrise over the water because it is breath taking. during the day the beach also provides a wide variety of water sports from banana boating to parasailing at very reasonable prices.
The Telemachos Hotel is simply what you make it if you make the effoert to embrace the culture and take part in the entertainment and are nice and friendly to the locals you will have a fantastic time. I certainly did!

This hotel is Gods toilet! The Manager is rude and forgets how much one has paid to stay, everything seems to come from his own pocket. Sporadic hot water during the day, clean,or should i say, changed towels ONCE A WEEK, any request for further changes met with rude refusal! The meals are unimaginative and usually cold, the salads getting warmer and more limp.Do NOT go All inclusive if you want any value for money. The bar shuts at 2130.If you want a drink with your evening meal either take it in with you from the All inclusive "shack",or get up from your cold meal and get it yourself!Better still, dont eat there. All inclusive snacks from the All inclusive shed consist of Cold Hot dog, Pizza slice,Sandwich or Toastie, made with old tasting bread. This bread makes an appearance at Breakfast as well, somewhat akin to stale sliced Mothers Ptride or any other make. If youi leave the "Hotel" complex...sounds good... dont under any circumstances ask for a Packed lunch or anything else normally deemed to be All Inclusive, you will be refused and deemed to be a trouble maker in the eyes of The Manager. Also if you want more than a couple of items from the All inclusive shack be prepared to be asked,"Are these all for you?" My daughter was refused on several occassions. Not least the Manager does not even serve local spirits, Ispoke to people in the other Bars who informed me he has supplies of local firewater,"Boomber",or however its spelt. This is the stuff that rots your insides and for which Tramps have an affinity. All in all Dont Go, go to Albania or Afghanistan or anywhere but Not the Telemachos, even the Rep is sick of the meaness and pennypinching.I dont even think the staff are happy there,at least the three who spoke were not. There is also a steep bank at the end of a longish road, not suitable for old, infirm or generally unfit, of course you could always ask The Manager for a lift!A WASTE OF MONEY AND HOLIDAY TIME! This is definatly NOT a young persons resort. It is more of a relaxation hotel. If you are all inclusive you have a seperate bar area from anyone else(situated away from the pool) and you cannot get free drinks from the pool bar as shown in the brochure.(anything you get from this bar you have to pay for, which i think is terrible)
The all inclusive food and drinks stop at 9:30pm and this is when the entertainment starts in the hotel.Nothing else is on until then apart from the same tape of music they play every night which you get a bit sick of after a fortnight.
Rooms where very basic(white washed) and a lot of the rooms had damp patches on the walls.
Pool was ok and sunbeds where free for all inclusive guests.
Choice of meals was terrible and quality of the food was really bad too.We ate out most nights, which also meant spending more money which you had allready payed for with all inclusive.
This was definatly not worth the money we payed.
