Stalis is nice enough but very very quite, we spend every 2nd night going into Hersonossis, most days were spent at Star Beach as its just so entertaining, with pools, slides, go karts, bungy jumping and loads of bars, well worth the visit.

This resort I found to be very clean. Any litter which you saw being dropped in an evening was gone soon. I did see a dog in the sea which I didn't like but it didn't change my thoughts on the place. All the restaurants we went in were clean. Tables wee seen to be wiped as soon as someone leftetc. The entertainment in Stalis was easy going and relaxed. Lots of restaurants, some bars playing really good music, odd shops selling gifts. Everyone happy and chilled. We did get fed up of being asked to go in this bar or that bsr, but could understand that they just want the business. The greek people were superb. Extremely friendly without being greasy, know what I mean. Just very laid back. The beach had areas with fantastic waves where you could be thrilled by the strength of them being able to knock you over. Then you could walk along and it would be a rocky area where people bobbed about on lilos. Something for everyone. Lots of bars with chairs on the edge of the coast so you could watch the world go by. Beautiful. I would definitely go again, I would live there if I could!!

The resort of Stalis is pretty laid back, half hour up the road is wild, so if you want to party hard till six am then a short walk or jump on the happy train to Malia can sort out the party animal in you. Personally we loved the bars and Greek restaurants in Stalis, lovely food. There's an excellent Indian restaurant (the Shalimar.)
It's more a family resort. The shops supermarkets have everything that you could possibly want. All in all the beer, meals & everyday items are reasonably cheap.
The beach is lovely, miles of golden sand, further up the rocks appear, great for the fishermen among you. There are plenty of ancient sites to see, Spinnalonger Island(an old leper colony) well worth a visit, Knossos, and so much more.
Stalis to me is everything a holiday should be relax, have a beer watch the world go by, Greek people are so lovely, relaxed & friendly, they make the holiday special.
I hope you all have as great a time as we do ....Chris Teri......next Aug here we come....can't wait.

A lovely resort which is not as quiet as it once was but still an excellent base for a family holiday, with its nice beaches and wide range of good value restaurants and bars.

the resort has plenty of eating out options and plenty of british choice bars if your missing home, which are a short stroll away.

The resort has many restaurants and bars to cater for all different tastes. Irish bars, English bars, Tavernas, Chinese, Indian.
We were there early July and it was mainly couples, I think once the school holidays start it would be filled with families.
The beach is long and sandy, with many sunbeds. The charges for the sunbeds differs as some include free drinks or light lunches in the price.

Watch out for the quad bikes and scooters bombing along the beach road. The shops aren't fantastic but somewhere to stroll too. The beaches in Stalis are lovely, pretty clean but you can only really go on if you use the beach restuarants sun beds and brolly ( 3 - 5 euros)The sea was pretty choppy, watch for the flags. Life guards patrol the beach. it did get quite crowded. I suppose we were spoilt as the pool at the Anastasia was so good, we only went to the beach a couple of times.
Didn't really use any of the resorts entertainment, there was plenty of restuarants and bars.
We did use the local bus to go to Ag Nic and Hersonnisos, which was a good service and cheaper than the little train!

Stalis itself is a beautiful place. I highly recommend it. The main resort was only 5 mins walk away. The main road with bars, shops and restaurants linked up with that of Malia. So it was great. The beaches superb.
Do visit!!!

There are plenty of bars and restuarants all located along on main street. The quiz at the royal oak was a bit of a laugh and the irish bar slainte has some good turns on and the air conditioning really cools you down.Stalis is ideally positioned if you want to visit the louder towns of Malia and Hersonissos

Stalis is an excellent resort with plenty of things to do. It can be as lively or relaxed as you like.
The beach is superb and the little trains that go around the resorts are a real laugh, if a little painful. There is a water park towards Hersonnisos and horse riding on the beach.
There are plenty of water sports on offer for those brave enough and plenty of shops and bars in the evening.
There are plenty of places to hire a quad bike for zipping around the beach road on.
Malia is near by if you fancy a lively night out but there are a few lively bars in Stalis.
This is a great place and I wouldn't hesitate to return.
