Stalis has some nice bars and places to eat, Malia is good if you want the nigt life 24/7.
The beaches are beautiful and the sea is so clear.
Would recommend stalis to anyone!!!!!

We only went into Stalis a couple times but there is plenty of shops, bars, tavernas etc and bars showing football and films.
If you take a ride on the happy trains the brown one to Hersonissos is better.

Only rated the beach as 2 because it was so crowded with sunbeds. No room to move. Resort ideal loved it.

Stalis itself is very tidy, if you have researched where you want to stay, let me just say that the pictures do not do the place any justice... I had never really cared much for sunshine holidays before i went to stalis and now i am hooked. I can't think of a better place to vist, everything about it is brilliant. The beach is nice but it is covered with sun loungers so you don't get much privacy- get there early if you want a bed... We stayed around the pool for most of the day. If you want lunch you only have to go next door and there is a restaurant, handy or what? If you decide to visit stalis i hope you enjoy it as much as we did...

The resort was fine. Not dirty in any way, just dusty.
Plenty of bars with music. Plenty of restaurants with friendly staff.
The beach was excellent. Very clean with a choice of watersports, and lots of breasts on display.
Would definately recommend.

The resort was a bit of a distance away from the hotel, in Malia it is too much in your face with PRs shouting at you all the time and small children running around at 3am in the morning trying to sell you things and pick your pockets so I would not go back to Malia.
Stalis was ok however it is quite under developed and still needs a lot of work done to it.
The Brasserie Restaurant in Malia across from Mcdonalds is the best place to go for a meal, it's a bit away from the hotel but worth it!!! Bella pasta and La napolitiana in Malia are also good for a meal.
In Stalis we never really tried any other places to eat apart from the coach and horse for breakfast and El Greco for a pizza which was really nice.
The water park in Anopolis is over rated as it is €16 to get in and not worth it as only a few rdes are open and worth going on.
We loved the hotel on our hol but we just wish it could have been in a different place as only the resorts round about let the the hol down.

The resort of Stalis could do with some money spending on its infrastructure IE underpasses that are unusable (no lights full of water/mud), road crossings that have faded and become dangerous. If you manage to get over or under the main road the beach road is also busy and at night should be pedestrianised.
There are plenty of bars/shops to have a go at and the beaches although small are very clean. The beach area we frequented had it own life guard come host who true to his word looked after your every need.
Stalis is not a bad resort but then again in my opinion it not a good one either just average.

Stalis has just enough entertainment for couples of all ages. Beautiful but crowded beaches.
You can have noise or you can have a quiet pleasant evening watching the world go by.
We love eating a the number of sea front restaurants,all staff are friendly and helpful and of course lovely Greek food. Because of the restaurants there is no seafront walkway. Pedestrians and cars and the dreaded quad bikes all had to use the old coast road, it is an accident waiting to happen.

A little too commercialised for us. Like some of the entertainement but would have liked it a littl quieter. The quad bikes racing up and down the street from Malia can be off putting as well. saw many peole on crutches and arms in slings during our stay. Could be dangerous if you had young children.

A very lovely clean resort with lots of nice places to eat and drink.
The greek people we met were all friendly and very chatty.
You must take care on the very busy road that runs through Stallis if you have young children.
Fantastic clean beach with a safe clear sea.
As a family it was perfect for us, maybe it would not have enough for a young group holiday.
