Resort is clean.
Entertainment geared towards the young at night with bars competing to play the loudest music.
Daytime in Kardamena is really nice compered to nightime.
Baches not very nice in parts,if part of beach isnt owned by a taverna nobody keeps it clean.

I have visited Kardamena 3 times since 2004 and its a great place. There's something for everyone, young or old. Some great places to eat in, food is quite cheap and generally good. The locals are friendly and welcoming. Everthing is close at hand, lots of souvenier shops, tavernas and a few night clubs which are sound proofed. Music stops in the tavernas at mid-night so those who want to continue dancing the night away head off to the clubs. The sea is chrystal clear and relatively temperate. Great for snorkelling and some fun fishing. Boat trips available from the main harbour. A bus service to Kos town is available from the resort and is quite cheap too and worth a visit. Scooter and quad bike hire is in abundance but be careful where you hire from as prices and condition of bikes vary. The airport is only a 10 minute journey to kardamena. The airport terminal is quite small so can get a little crowded, and departure day can be quite a task, but then again so can a larger airport. We are all hoiping to go back in 2008 for 2 weeks.

very nice beach with a mcdonalds on it!! bars everywhere including bar street, i went in may and it was busy-ish so bet its mental down there in peak season! only thing about the bars was they all had to stop playing there music at 12midnight so after that no bars played music (but still stayed open and served as long as you wanted) but if you wanted music then u had to go on to one of the clubs. at first this was a bit rubbish to me, no music after 12!?!?! but then i realised its actually a bit better cuz then u get everyone into a nightclub instead of being spread out over numerous bars! nice resturants everywhere especially along the beach front.

The resort of Kardemena is only a 5 minute taxi ride away. The cab drivers are a little mad, but just do as I do and close ur eyes for the jouney..... or have a few Malibu shots before u leave!!
There are a variety of shops in the town and it comes alive at night with all the bars and clubs....Again, fantastic, friendly people!
The beach is small, but sandy.....go parasending, its the best! Me and my mate loved it so much, we went 4 times!! What an experience!!
Like I said, would definatley go again, Highly recommend Kos.

We have been to Kardemena on numerous occassions but usually at the beginning or the end of the season. I would imagine that at the height of the season it would get quite crowded.
We love visiting at the end of September beginning of October when the resort is not as crowded. You also get to take advantage of the "sales" at this time of year.
Eating out was a bargain, we always use the Aramis Restaurant as they have great Greek food (their Lamb Kleftico is an absolute must). But there numerous restaurants serving Greek and English dishes as well as a couple of Chinese and one Indian restaurant. For 2 main courses with, either a starter or desert (could never eat both)! a large Mythos, Ouzo and diet coke and a coffee at the end of the meal we never paid more than around 25 euros.
The people are extremely friendly, and always seem to remember you from previous visits. So much so that they all asked after Abby who was not with us for the first time in years, as she has started university.
There are plenty of bars to suit every age range from the livlier bars along bar street for the youngsters, to the quieter bars along the see front, with a smattering of "in between" bars near the Cocktails and Dreams end of the resort.

We found the resort clean especially with the nuber of people on holiday. The beech is not sandy but contains shingles.
For what we paid we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be definitely returning next year

To get to the resort of Kardamena, you need to get the courtsey bus from the hotel. Make sure not to queue, just get your elbows up and fight to get on or you will be cast aside by rude, rough, German (USUALLY) females. Better still 8 Euros each way and ride in a comfortable Mercedes taxi. 20 years since we last visited Kardamena and we personally didn't like what has a happened to it.From a very peacuful village with some 10 tavernas , several bars and shops, to a bustling resort for young people who don't seem to care where when or with whom (SEX seems to be the B all and end all so it seems!!!!!!
Sad, but true. The place has been built up so much it is TOTALLY spoilt now.
