The hotel is set away from resort so nothing really to spend money on,though hotel has a couple of shops for basics like lilo, buckets papers etc.Beach is a sort of sand shingle and shoes are needed to walk on it as it seem sharp and gets very hot.Pedaloes and kayaks are free for a short time.Paragliding, bananaboat, fly fish are all available from beach for a reasonalble cost as are a few other watersport but windsurfing only available from town on sight of certification.I would go here again for a relaxing beach holiday

The resort, Kardemena, is about 3 mile away from the hotel. There are quite a few resturants, and loads of tourist shops with things like towels, and holiday t-shirts. There were also a few designer shops e.g. Diesal and about 2 shops that had Dolce and Gabbana clothes. A few shoe shops in the main back street.
The beach was ok, sandy. better than the Norida beach hotel which was shingley.

Kardamena as improved over the years and the harbour looks very nice now. Plenty of night life and good places to eat out.

Kardamena is a nice Lively resort with plenty to do for the family. I expect it is busy in the summer but was nice for families in October and still good for teenagers too.

Kardemena was about to close up for the winter so a lot of gift shops had sold out.
We found some really lovely Greek restaurants in town though where the food and service were really good, it was cheap enough to have a meal and get a taxi home.
Not much lighting but if daring you could stroll home along the beach if there was a full moon.
Felt very safe out at night and the Kos people very friendly.

Kardemena was a small seaside town with a small amount of shops but with ample and good restarants and bars. Friendly staff made eating and drinking a pleasure, with some good-hearted banter at Annas Restaurant on the shore road.
Our week's stay was very enjoyable and restful which suited us down to the ground.

Kardameda is not a typical greek resort. It is a place for young people wanting a good time It is a concrete jungle. For that reason I would not return to Kos
