Kardamena is a very lively resort, it has something for everyone. lots of shops, lots of restaurants and bars. The beach is very nice although we preferred to walk along to the end as it was not too crowded there. We always ate a different restaurant and everyone was lovely. This is the second time I have been to Kardamena and I have now seen everything there is to see in this resort, I will more than likely come back to Kos but visit a different resort.

There is a very nice harbour area which makes for a nice walk from the hotel.
Plenty of places to eat or drink and when we was there in June all these areas were very quiet.

This is a small resort that caters young fun loving people. Quite during the day, mostly souvineer shops, but at night it is lively with lots of bars etc.

Kardamena has lots of bars and shops, and is quite during the day. we did not visit at night so can't comment. Lots of the young clubbing people went into town at night on the bus. Compared to Sant Antonio Ibiza this resort is small, but classed as the biggest on the island. The people are very friendly and make you feel very welcome.

Kardamena is a hardcore clubbers resort. Ideal only for young couples or groups, not a great deal for families or older couples/groups. The reps from the bars are incredibly annoying and often quite aggressive in their sales pitch. Try and stick to the beach/harbour front for quieter bars and restaurants.

This is based on Kardemena itself as we were well outside the resort, although Mitsis do have their own beach which was a good point and the best part of the holiday. Sorry, but it was not for us as the beach was shingle and sloped steeply after first foot or so. The final insult was having to queue outside the airport building as they couldnt cope with the number of passengers departing. I have seen bigger bus terminals, and was reminicent of a 1960s holiday.

We came to relax and wind down in an excellent resort out of season with good weather and polite courteous staff, this, is exactly what we got.
My Daughter would have been bored, there was not too much for kids between 10-15 so we will take our daughter some where else.
A free bus provided by the hotel got us to Kardemana about 10 minutes along the road.
Go to Kardemena if you like fake goods and English breakfasts!!! In the evening young 18-25 yr olds stand outside the bars pestering you to come in.

Kardamena has something for everyone, lively bars, quiet tavernas & watersports, with a long beech, I have read some people calling it brash, but i would beg to differ!, we as a family found lots to do during the day, but could find many a great spot to have something to eat at night, not all loud bars etc etc, although they are there if you want to be a little more adventurous! All in all this is a great place to have a holiday with genuine hosts,& friendly locals

Kardemina is a lovely fishing town which has grown in to a holiday area, it was a delight to sit in one of the many bars by the harbor people watching, for those inclined the two streets parallel to the harbor are full of bars and tavern's including those catering for English beer and those who must watch English TV and yes there is a big mac for the junk food addicts

The hotel was a few minutes drive from Kardamena,or a 20 minute walk along the beach.
It is a very active town, lots of gifts hops, bars, restuarants and even a Mcdonalds!!
We enjoyed walking around the harbour and seeing the fish swimming near the boats in the harbour. There are boat trips available to book on for trips out around the island which we did and it was great. Very reasonable priced and lunch was included.
We also visited a water park called Lido,a 20 minute drive towards kos town from Kardamena. The flumes and pools were great fun and our kids really enjoyed it. The only thing I would say is you have to walk a lot from ride to ride and the ground was very hot which did actually cause our children to have blisters. Even if you wear your flip flops you obviously have to remove them to go on the rides so its difficult to solve this problem.
Just be prepared to experience what it feels like to walk on hot coals!!and our kids were disappointed because there are some rides they couldnt go on because they were either too small or not strong enough swimmers.
Other than that it was a great day out.
