Before going to Faliraki some people told me horror stories about drunken fights, and lots of trouble, but in the two weeks I was there I didn't see one fight, and no more drunkenness than I would see here in Liverpool.
The beach was great, with plenty of sun lounges, that could be hired quite cheaply (3 Euros for the day if i recall correctly) and has a McDonalds and bars nearby. There were also boat trips, banana boats, ringos etc.
The restaurants that we visited were great, all reasonably priced, with very good food. I've got to recommend Panchos Mexican Restaurant on Club Street, and Sizzlers as particulary good.
As you probably know there are loads of bars & clubs, a lot of which have some very good offers, and a mix of music. The only bad thing about going to the bars is that you are hassled by promoters outside the bars trying to get you inside, even if you know where you want to go. Also a few of the promoters thought nothing of lying to us that our club reps were inside a particular bar to get us in (luckily enough we were to cynical to fall for this!).
Taxis were plentiful and quite reasonable, as were the buses if you wanted to travel into Rhodes Town or Lindos etc.
Also in Faliraki there is a Water Park which was great, lots of different slides and a good day out if you like that sort of thing.
All in all I would say that Faliraki is a great resort for a holiday if you want to have a good laugh and a party, and stories about the drunkeness and fighting on street corners are over exaggerated.

Faliraki has been given bad reviews in the past, but on our holiday the resort was quiet, but enough going on.
There were plenty of bars and restaurants to keep one occupied, and we saw no evidence of drunken behaviour, or yobs.
The beach was relatively clean and litter free.
We would certainly visit Faliraki again, but would stay in another hotel.
The bus services to Rhodes or Lindos were regular and very cheap, the bus stop just opposite the Sun Palace.

Faliraki is excellent .... everything you want right on your doorstep.
Forget your pre-conceived ideas its nothing like how it has been portrayed on tv.

This is the second time we have visited Faliraki in twelve weeks, I had never been before and I have to say I was a little aprehensive having seen all the hype on the TV.
It is a great little place with something for everyone, frankly I was a little dissapointed because I imagined it would be much bigger than it actually is.
we went as a party of adults, youngest 21, eldest 66 and we all had a great holiday.
Clean friendly great range of shops and restaurants free entertainment and the cheapest place for anything you want.
Unless you have tried it dont knock it.... we will be back next year thats for sure

Falaraki was very quiet, due to the time of year. The beach was fantastic...beautiful clear water and clean sand.

We went out of season which meant the resort was very very quiet the water park had closed and not many shops/bars were open. The beach could have done with a good raking and rubbish picked up. The local buses were excellent though and you can get about very cheaply.

We stayed on the outskirts of Faliraki, a lot of places had closed up as it was the end of season. However the resort was clean and the beach immaculate. We used the public transport a lot to visit other resorts and must say were very impressed, its certainly more reliable than ours in the UK.

The resort of faliraki was nothing like we expected. Please ignore all the bad reports. The hotel & staff were great.
Across the road from the hotel was the beach , which was spotless... Rhodes 'old town' was just a 15 min bus ride away. Whilst there you can visit the town or even the colosassus ( one of the seven wonders of the world ) . Also across the road from the hotel are a variety of shops . A big tip for you all, if you are thinking of booking any excursions, go to sofia's travel . You will save many euro's.
We booked 2 trips.
1. Turkey- we were picked up from outside the hotel by coach, sailed from rhodes to marmaris. Price included a full tour of marmaris ( which is beautiful & a must ) , an evening meal in a turkish restaurant ... We all had a great day from approx 40 euro's per adult & children were half price.
2. Lindos- we were picked up from outside the hotel & sailed from the beach of faliraki. The boat trip was just over 2 hrs... But what a glorious trip !!! The weather was fab and the sights were beautiful. When we arrived at lindos, we were amazed by the beautiful beach .. We then experienced a donkey ride up to the acropolis , through the shops and hustle & bustle of lindos. What a great time we had ! I would definately return to lindos for a longer break. Absolutely beatuiful place to visit & the acropolis was breath taking , aswell as the views. Agaqin this was booked with sofia's, and what a pleasure it was dealing with this kind & helpful man,
