the resort of lindo,s is picture postcard perfect.the acropolis looks daunting but only took 10 minutes to walk up. lots of good restaurants, never found a bad one.never went to beach, to much to walk to, with heat reaching 42 degree,s.meal for 3 with drinks was around 50 euro,s, that is 3 courses.lots of shops, but best to go after 4 oclock when all the tour buses have left.hired a car for 4 days from in town 115 euro,s where rep wanted 79 euro,s for 3 days, also greek night with rep was expensive and not worth doing, rushed you through meal when entertainment was on so could not enjoy it. went to pefkos,7 euro,s by taxi, 3 on bus, great beach and found a great restaurant called mattymarhara, so good went several times.rhodes old town is great, but need more than a day to see it all. also got a catamaran 30 euro,s each to symi, what a great island, very pretty and very greek. also visited the water park which was good, but not on a level so lots of up and down and so big everything was a fair walk. but really loved rhodes and would visit again

The resort is perfect, traffic free (apart from the donkeys!) and so many bars and restaurants to choose from! The beaches are a little way from the town, and we visited St Pauls Bay as it was where we got married. Lovely calm sea, ideal for children, and ours loved playing in the shallows.
We will definitely be returning! Fantastic place!!

Lindos is stunning, very pretty and quaint. A maze of narrow streets that you never seem to know where you are going which is great fun. Very steep roads so you need to be in good health or wait for the free shuttle bus. Please dont use a donkey to travel the streets, my opinion only. Lots and lots of bars/restaurants. Feel free to go on the rooftops of the bars to check out the view before deciding to stay. We found the best view at a bar called Mythos near the donkey station and the food was very nice,Lindos is more expensive than the resorts along the coast Pefkos and Lardos. If you are looking for authentic greek tavernas in the centre with a rooftop view you may struggle. All the ones we visited were great with the exception of the music. Once on a rooftop you could hear all the other bars competing with each other on the music front. The main music being played was pop music not greek music, which is great if thats what you want. For something peacefull and Greek I would recommend going on the outskirts of the centre where it is quieter but you still get great views. Our favorite was Agostinos Taverna near the top of the hill near the second car park (not Krana Hill)or go down to the beach restaurant nearest the Krana Hill road. If you happy to stay indoors then you are spoilt for choice of greek tavernas. Use the local buses, very cheap 1.2 euros to Pefkos and not much more to Lardos. Lardos is worth a visit for a evening meal. It is much more Greek than Lindos but not as pretty. Taxi back 10 euros, recommend Roulas Taverna.

I think Lindos is a lovely resort even though to get to the beaches it is a bit steep especially when it is very hot - but there are free buses to take you from the top of the village hill into the village (not to the beach)but they stop at 4pm or 4.30 but it does help as no traffic is allowed into the actual village and it is hard to park on the way down (parking meters)public buses are at the top of the hill where the free buses stop - and it is lovely walking through the lanes of Lindos - restaurants are great - good food and hidden bars

Lindos really is dream destination for me and the family.
We where married here in May 2005 at St Paul's Bay.
Whilst having visited Lindos on previous visits, our first time staying (outwith the odd day here or there in previous holidays) in Lindos was May 2008 at Villa Manolis.
The resort is just so wonderful with so many places to eat and drink.
I was going to go 5* for the lot, but I did put 4* for Resort Enterainment. Probably unfair, but having a little girl, maybe some sort of area for kids would be great, like a play area. The Town Centre whilst family friendly doesn't offer any actual entertainment for the little ones, but this is not the fault of the town to be honest. I guess adults know what they're getting into when they visit here if they bring little ones.
For me there's 3 places that I would treat as dream holidays, Maldives (not did that yet), Orlando and Lindos/Rhodes.

Lindos has something for everyone. During the day the narrow streets can become busy due to the boats arriving from other resorts. The are so many restaurants and bars, something to suit everyone and cater for every taste. We did find this year it had become more expensive, a typical meal for the three of us with drinks around 45 Euros. The main beach is perfect for families, the beach is clean and there are plently of beds, costing 8 Euros for 2 with a shade. If you ever visit Lindos I'm sure you will always return.

A beautiful village filled with beautiful characters, lots of bars and lovely restaurants to choose from. A choice of 3 beaches to pick from. A bay which is lovely clear sea to swim in. Been several times now over a number of years, will definatly be going back again.

I liked the resort of Lindos and I am thankful that we chose this resort as most of the rest of the island looked a lot worse.
There was plenty to do although we didn't find the people as friendly as we had on other islands and on a couple of occassions we felt that we were being ripped off.
