Pefkos is a lovely small resort very clean. Lovely restaurants with fab food. Pefkos is very laid back and relaxing. We were worried that it would be to quiet but we had a great time. Bars are lovely and staff very friendly there is no gangs of youths just nice people enjoying theirselves. Music in bars stops at midnight but many nights we were out until 3 talking and laughing with other people. The beach is lovely and the sea very clear. One of the nicest places we have been and will definately be returning next year.

The resort has a beautiful golden sandy beach. You can hire 2 sun beds and an umbrella for 8 euros per day. The water is clear and shallow with lots of small fish, even in the shallow waters. There are a couple of restaurants and bars on the beach selling drinks and snacks throughout the day, there are also toilet and shower facilities on the beach. There are a limited number of water sports available on the beach. You can also pay around 35 euros for a flight around the bay of Pefkos and Lindos in a 2 seater microlyte plane if you wish to do so! You can find out more about that in flyers restaurant next to the beach….
There are plenty of small supermarkets in the resort selling everything you need on holiday incl. many British brands. We tended to use Maria’s Supermarket on the beach road owned by Thonassis and his wife Jeanette and his brother Tassos. We also liked Mingos Supermarket up on the main road, next to Nostalgia.
There is a huge choice of restaurants. Some personal favourites are –
Anixis- (If you walk up to the main road from the beach, turn right at the Enigma restaurant and it is around 10 mins walk up the road on the left hand side, just past the Finas apts) . Superb value and excellent varied menu.
Nostalgia- View for upstairs is spectacular.
Two brothers- Has a very good reputation, but always busy.
Hellas- At the end of the road in Pefkos before heading into Lardos.
Oasis- If you are looking for quick service and something a little lighter, go to the Oasis bar. It has its own pool, and is situated just up from the beach. The do some lovely main courses, pizzas, pastas, tortilla wraps, baguettes and probably the best ground beef burgers I have ever tasted!! Burgers come with roast veg or coleslaw and potato wedges.
It is approx 6 Euros in a taxi from the taxi rank in the middle of the main road to Lindos or Lardos. Lindos is famous for the acropolis, St Pauls bay, sugar cube buildings and roof top restaurants, but it is busier and it is hotter due to its sheltered position.
Lardos is located further south than Pefkos and you can you Go-karting (adults and children) and apparently there is an excellent crazy golf course.
We went for a meal in a restaurant called Roulas in Lardos main square and I would definitely recommend it. The food was fresh, cooked in a large open plan kitchen, so you can see your meal being prepared. The food and drink was cheaper than in Pefkos and the resort was a few degrees cooler than Pefkos.
If you want to sit in a comfy chair and have a nice drink on the way back to the matina, then pop in to FUSE 2 and see Lynsey and Kyriakos. They have computer games and a secure kiddie’s play area at the back, which has security cameras and you can watch them playing on big screen in front of the bar.

We love Pefkos, it's a lovely mid sized resort, not too quiet not too hectic (in May) and perfect for couples. We had read in some (older) guide's and brochures that it was a small fishing village recently made into a resort for tourists but if you're looking for a traditional greek village I'd look elsewhere.
It has been claimed by the tourists even though it's still pretty small in relation to somewhere like Falaraki or Lindos. If you know where to look you can still find fantastic traditional greek food. For a real taste of authentic greek cooking I couldn't reccommend anywhere better than the Coralli Beach resort (5 minutes walk out of Pefkos on the road to Lardos).
It's a family run place and both the service and the food are the best we found on Rhodes. Other good places to eat were Terpsis, The Colasium and Nostalgia (if a little pricey). If you're looking for a cheap and tasty snack Alexandras Gyros Pitas (2.50e) are well worth a try, you'll find them on the road down to the beach.
There are plenty of other kinds of restaurants (Indian, Chinese, British Food) if that's what you're looking for. There are also plenty of bars and 'Tourist Shops'. The Beach is lovely, there is a charge of 4e for sunbeds which I thought was pretty reasonable. If you want to get about a bit and see more of the Island I'd reccommend using the buses.
It's 1.20e to Lindos one way and there's plenty to keep you occupied there for the day and some really good bars and clubs at night.
We'd definitely go back again but I have a feeling that in a couple of years the place will be unrecogniseable. There's signs of new hotels/shopping areas being built all around.

Great family resort, bars are great and very welcoming. We ate in different resturant most nights but returned to Two Brothers restaurant on last night as enjoyed it and kids loved it there. For a more expensive but grat food try Terpsis, food great and lovely surroundings. You must visit Alexandras and try a cocktail, Tasos most friendly bar man i ever met and children were vey welcome. Great resort and although we tend not to return to same place twice would really consider going back next year.

The main town had plenty of bars and restaurants plenty to choose from and prices almost similar. The music in the bars finish at midnight but will close only when everyone has gone 2, 3 or even 4am in the morning. We did make some nice friends out there and will definitely be going back next year.

We went back to Pefkos again this year as the atmosphere is very relaxed and the variety of bars and restaurants plentifull. For atmosphere and barman tricks from the movie Cocktail try Pefkos by night as its hard to beat but also try Eclipse for the spectacular laser/light show and waterfall. A great resort for couples who want a chilled out relaxing holiday with no starting agenda. We really enjoyed just drifting from bar to bar sampling not just the cocktails but the different atmospheres each one has to offer. A very good value for money resort and will definately be back...

Pefkos offers plenty quality restaurants and bars. Most of the pools are free to visit and we chose to spend most days at the Kelari pool & bar where the food was excellent and the staff very friendly and accomodating.
The taxi into Lindos was only 6 Euros and provided an interesting alternative to evenings in Pefkos.
Although we were there as a couple, Pefkos is an ideal resort for families with young children.
