No resort.
There is a beach, but it's horrid. Big stones, prevailing wind blows all the time, so sea is rough, especially for small kids.
Beach is all pebbles and steep until you get into the water, from where it's all rocky!

The resort is very nice pebble beach so take shoes you can go into the water in. Watch out for mosquito's take your anti bite formula. Weather was glorious all the two weeks we were there would definately visit again

The resort of Tiranda was bigger than anticipated. The were a good choice of restaurants (you will need them) and bars within easy access.

The resort is clean, the beach is a shingle beach. There is a few resturants by the beach, some are expensive. I'd recommend going to Rodos the old town of Rhodes, and Lindos, which is very beautiful. The bus journey to Rodos is about 15 minutes.
The sea is nice. I wouldn't come here again

Lively and fun with bars, numerous restaurants and a gorgeous beach, would have loved sand and not huge pebbles but the sea was turqoise blue and calm.
Rhodes town 10 mins away in cab and ixia 5 minute walk away. Mad drivers on mopeds though with no helmets.

The resort was close to the hotel and a pleasant walk in the day or evening, a few shops and bars along the road
It is near enough to Rhodes to get a bus or taxi (8 euro each way.
The beach was a pebble beach, you had to pay extra for sunbeds on the beach but they were free on the grassed area right next to the beach (and the beach bar).
For our purposes it was a relaxing and enjoyable area.

I could not help commenting on how clean the resort of Trianda was, not even cigarette butts or dog muck on the streets!! Entertainment in the resort is limited to bars and tavernas at the moment, as well as the only nightclub 'Bo Club'. The resort is growing at the moment, and I would urge anybody to visit the 'Anyone' bar for one of their 'Belly Buster' brealfasts, superb!! If you are looking for a more lively night then Rhodes Town is about 8 Euros in a taxi, although the 'Diamond Kitty' club in Trianda is a must for the men! ;)
The Beach in Trianda is very pebbly, but the water is beautiful.
I would definatley visit this resort again, although maybe not with a group of lads, more so with my family!

Our accommodation lay between the resorts of Ixia and Trianda/Ialyssos about a 10 min bus (6 min taxi) ride from the impressive Rhodes Town.
Our first holiday rep suggested that Ixia was the place to visit to eat & drink however that resort had no real focal point apart from some grand hotels set back from the shingle beach.
Our second rep suggested we try nearby Trianda/Ialyssos which we preferred. A maximum 10 mins walk away in a fairly well lit area much of Trianda looked as if it has been recently developed with a good mix of restaurants and cafe bars. Oh and quite a few jewellery outlets!. Wear comfy footwear.
Nightlife entertainment wasn't very high on the agenda apart from the occasional local restaurant which featured local warblers and the odd dance troop. Sports screens dominated the cafe bars and we didn't hear a single karaoke shrill in that area. Apart from a couple of nights at our complex that is.
Plenty of sun beds and loungers available at the shingle beaches all around the area.

The resort we were in was very quiet at that time of the year, it wasn't very lively. The beach was awful, a shingle beach, which i don't think was mentioned in the brochure. The hightlights of the holiday was when we escaped the resort and went to Rhode old town, which is fabulous and i would certainly like to visit again. Like all other Greek islands we have visited everyone is so friendly. There are plenty of day trips to other islands to be taken from Mandraki harbour, which is only a taxi or bus journey away.

thr resort itself is quite small but being on all inclusive we didnt anticipate going out as much as we had to.bars and restaurants are good in the resort but we ended up spending money in the resort that we shouldnt have to spend
