The apartments are located just 10 minutes walk from both the beach and resort centre. There is a supermarket just 200 yards away, but not the best. Other supermarkets are located on the main Rhodes road (East and West) just 7/8 minutes away. The main resort has plenty of attractions - local bars/diners,breakfast and fast-food outlets, sports bars (SKY TV etc), shopping areas, night clubs and, of course, the beach (which has plenty of sunbeds available - at a charge). Ixia can be visited by a short walk (probably 15 minutes) or by bus. Rhodes Town is only a short bus ride away (1.80 Euro) or taxis are available 24 hours and will cost 8/10 Euors one-way. Car and Scooter hire is available at extremely good rates if you want to explore further.

Trianda is not a place to go if you want lively nightlife, it is laid back and we found it nice and relaxing. Ixia is only a 20 min walk away, although we did not like this resort as much as Trianda, - Ixia is a resort built along a main road and we found it more touristy and less laid back than Trianda. We had one boozy night out in Bar street in Rhodes town which is only a 10 min taxi ride away. It was 9euros to Rhodes town (prices are set so you dont get ripped off). Living in manchester city, I pay over £10 to get home in a taxi, and so i thought the taxi prices in rhodes to be relatively inexpensive. Also, the buses are really cheap too.

We spent 2 weeks in Trianda the resort is not the cleanest with lots of building work going on. Trianda has basically got too big and realistically they have forgot about the holiday maker Regular Greek island visitor very disapointed with trianda.

The resort of Trianda is a quite place, with a good selection of restaurants and bars. The beach is mostly pebble until you get in the water. The sea can become a liitle rough (waves) as it is always windy here, which is fantastic as this helps cool the place down.
We found that Kostas restaurant was the best for food and good value. Also Kevallis (poor spelling) facing the royal bar was very good for food.
The royal was ok and the plus point was that it sold Pilsner Urquell (Czech Beer) 4 euro a bottle.
The place itself has a problem with rats that needs sorting out, i know that they are everywhere but if they stop down in the sewers i am quite happy, but when they come strolling out for a quick snack during twilight there is a problem...even the cats are scared of these things, in fact some were just as big (body wise).
If the bins were changed more regular, like every day (most of spain) then i am sure it would stop them from running around the resort.
I would recommend going into rhodes town (old town), we spent a couple of days just wandering round and stopping off at rooftop bars catching some rays whilst sipping cold beers, the restaurants are really good there as well, plus you can get a taxi straight back to the door of the barbie thus avoiding another walk down rat alley (taxi costs 9 euro). Despite the minor probs i have listed we really did enjoy our 1 week in rhodes weather was fantastic, food was great, the beers were ice cold and the people are friendly...what more could you ask for!!!

having been to more bustling resorts i thought i would try a resort much more sedate. but this resort was to sedate for me. Definatley hire a car ! we hired one for four days and went round the island as resort was to quite for a family with teenage children.Every night was the same to us as all centered round restuarants really and not enough music bars etc. There are no show bars/theme bars.
Went to rhodes town a couple of nights in car..do not eat in the old town inside the castle they rip you off ! 7 euro for vodka and coke ! Best idea is to get a gyros pitta and walk round its so expensive in restaurants !
In total we spent more than an all inclusive would be !
Went on a noody train which is a good way of seeing the resort it takes you to the old town and round the resort !
The beaches in Trianda are not that good really to rough on the feet i advise you take the surfer shoe for the water ! The resort all in all is not for children really but glad i experienced Trianda.

Trianda is quite a nice resort. However the beach is very pebbly. Plenty of taverna's and shops - you can't go wrong here. It cost us 9-euros in a taxi to Rhodes Town, which is a must; absolutely fantastic! Also, the boat trip to Lindos, which I fell in love with.

The resort was small but plenty to see and lovely places to eat, visit Greekland go about 8pm and listen to the music and see them dancers.
The resort was clean, the beach was shingle and pebble. You are not far from Rhodes Town and a taxi is abot 9 euros

This was a very nice resort, there are loads of different resturants to choose from, we were there for 2 weeks and could of eaten in a different one every night. However we visited one quite often it was called Kostas. he is the nicest man you could meet. Dining with a 3 year old is hard enough sometimes, but he was always very helpful and fussed over our daughter everytime we went. He gave her little gofts on every visit and on our last day she made him a thank you card.
There is quite a few trips to take to see the island, we only did 2 in our last week and now wshed we had done more. We did the trip all around the island and a trip to Lindos. We did visit Rhodes town 3 times though and the taxis are a set price which were very good value for money. Looking at visiting again next year.
