The pebble beach was the only thing that stopped our holiday from being perfect - a nice sandy beach would have been appreciated.

This resort has really cleaned up over the last few years.all new pavements and lighting and a fab new playground on the beach for kids. you will allways find entertainment here as you can use any hotel bars /pools just buy a drink thats all thats requested.
Im a big fan of this resort the only downside is the shingle beach. If its sand you want though visit rio rent a car grab some wheels and get a map and be off to tsampika beach if you climb up to the monestry and look down on it you could be in the carribean.

Lovely resort, nice beech pubs resturants, everyone friendly. Only problem with the resort is those pesky timeshare touts, really annoying!!!!!!

The pebble beach was located 5 minutes from hotel. There wasn't loads to do in Trianda. So we travelled to Rhodes town most nights which is about 15 minutes in a taxi. The old town is lively with good shops excellent bars & top restaurants were the food was excellent in every place we ate.

Mosquito`s are a real problem in Trianda....Go prepared!
Hired mopeds and went on a round trip to the Butterfly farm and Kalmeiras ruins, over through the middle of the island to Faliraki, and then into Rhodes( took a whole day but was safe and enjoyed the scenery. Though (if you dont like ruins then give Kalmeiras a miss- we thought it was a waste of a journey). If your out in the island on cars or moped go to Psinthos for a lunch in the square. Butterfly farm is nice, but be warned...There looks to be only one type of butterfly.
Hired mopeds from Albatross in the town, and the guy there JOHN was very helpful..
"Knights of Old", and "La Cucina" can be reccomended for food in Trianda, we ate at each twice. Otherwise the menu`s and standard of food we found to be about the same everywhere.
Kaliva restaurant on the seafront was very good, especially the KAliva Special...(Pork Fillet in sauce) Only problem here is its slow service, as the poor bloke in there is rushed off his feet, on his own, and trying to serve, take orders/ deliver bills, and serve beer etc. Shame that, the food was nice...
Best bar for us was the Alkionis sports bar. Top telly during the world cup, good company, and the two brothers that own/ work there are very friendly. (even to the point of knowing about my favourite team in the UK Barnsley!!!!)
Trianda itself has plenty of bars, and restaurants to keep you busy for 2 weeks. its being smartened up and the pavements are being renewed. Some building work is going on, but this didnt spoil our holiday. Looks like the all inclusive places (there are two) are killing trade in the bars, but then again we were there in early sumer so cant comment what it will be like in July August.
Finally. If you are in Rhodes town then call in to see Stavros at his bar on Ipodamou street. (up a tiny street near to the top of the town and Mosque) Found him last time we went on a day trip from Turkey, and went back to see him this year. Nice bar, Nice fella, and very entertaining. Cracking pint of Tetley.
Ask to sample his "Greek Salad"................

We have been going to Trianda for quite a few years now,and have made many local friends it is like home from home and we always meet up with people we have made friends with over the years, who have also been going there for their holidays for a longer time than we have been going there. Unfortunately the bars and restaurants at the centre of the resort are not as frequented by visitors as they used to be. A lot of them stay around the all inclusive accommodation. The beach is shingle but sand once you are in the water, there are lots of sunbeds on the beach and there are several places to get snacks. They are bringing the resort up to date with a good childrens playground near the beach.

The only down side to Triada are the beaches, they are all pebbly but the water is clear and warm once you get in.
Don’t sit on a sun bed for a week go out and see the Island. We hired a car for three days, the roads are not too busy and Lindos is well worth a visit.
Its ¾ of an hour by car, you can spend a day there and it has a good beach as well as lots to see. You can go by coach but I’m told it takes two hours and you only get three hours at Lindos.

The resort was very nice. People were very friendly,we didnt go out of the hotel much for entertainment because we were only there for one week. However, we did quite a bit of shopping in the town and if you like shops Rhodes is the place to be.
We would definitely come back to this resort.
