Bugigga - Malta as an island is very pretty but the buildings are in great need of renovations. The main square is nice but the buildings are horrible. Buildings appeared to look dirty because of the decor which is old and run down. There really isn't any beaches worth talking about compared to other island similar. We really did enjoy Malta even though the accommodation was so bad, but I could not think about returning until major renovations had been completed thoughout the island.

The bus station in Buggiba is well sign posted and the busses are very cheap! You can get round the island for around 90p.
The only problem with Buggiba and Malta as a whole is there are only a couple of beaches, the rest of the island is rock, but this makes for great snorkeling if you get some beach shoes from one of the many gift shops near the bus station for around £5- £7.50!
All in all we enjoyed the holliday.

would recommend bugibba to all ages, there is not any sandy beaches but there are a number of access points to the sea and also great sunbathing areas. the resort is semi lively with enough nightlife for those who want it. this is a good base for your hoilday as there is easy access to other parts of the island. the area is clean although like the rest of the island has a lot of building works at present so tends to be dusty (the building works are not loud and tndto be the noise of the cranes only.

We go to St Pauls as we have made lots of Maltese friends over the years. There isn't a beach in St Pauls but there are plenty within a short bus ride. Rent a car or use the buses but go and see Malta, the history is fasinating.

There are no beaches but you can easily sunbath from the rocks and swim (best to wear jelly shoes as it makes it easy getting in and out of the sea). Its nice of an evening to stroll down to the front, sit and watch the locals play bocci. There are plenty of restuarants, pizzeria and bars to choose from. There are lots of shops but mostly jewellery and souvenir. Local boat trip (Horn Blower) to the Blue Lagoon is a must. We love Malta, the climate is fantastic and the people are exceptional. You need to give Malta a chance, it can be barran but has a lot of history and a must is to hire a car and explore the island and take in the local culture.

The resort was quiet when we were there in june. There was no beach but we knew that before we left I hate sand so I enjoyed sitting on the rocks we could swim from the rocks.
We booked lots of trips to near by attractions at a little shop outside the hotel at half the price the reps sold them they are insured even though the reps tell you they are not.
The people in malta are excellent we loved them they are especially good with children we have also been with children to this resort.
With there been no beach and the sea very deep form the rocks I dont think it would be good for small children.

There are no sandy beaches at Bugibba but it is easy and very cheap to visit beaches at other places on the island.
Malta is somewhat unkept but still retains a quaintness.

Bugibba is a nice resort with swimming facilities and nice restaurants. An ideal location for relaxing enjoyable holiday. Public transport is good and one can reach all parts of the Island easily.

Bugibba and St Paul's Bay are beautiful locations but probably not for the younger age group. Plenty of outdoor cafes and restaurants and fabulous walks along the sea front. As usual, Maltese hospitality and friendliness was second to none.
