Qawra was quite central to everywhere and near to the bus terminus. You could get to lots of places from the terminus for a maximum of 40 cents per person single, or a 5 day bus ticket was 4.50 Lira.
The main street is Tourist Street with lots of souvenir shops, shops selling trips to various attractions, pubs and restaurants. It has a cinema on Pioneer Road in Bugibba (about 15 minutes walk from Qawra). There is no sandy beach nearby but you can easily get a bus to various different beaches.
It also had lots of timeshare touts especailly opposite the bus terminus.

Resort always clean but no beach.

The place can rock at night if you want or it can be very sedate if that is what you prefer.

Qwara and Buggiba have plenty of shops and bars around the square. There is a casino at the New Dolmen Hotel, which is entered from the seafront. There are some extremely good restaurants especially near to the Mavina, we would definitely recommend Incognito (next door to the Mavina), La Stalla on Triq il Tourista and Gaetano's by the Square. This is a good area to stay in, there is a Bus station nearby where buses run to every part of the Island. I would recommend getting a hire car as it gives you more freedom of movement and they still drive on the left ( well, most of the time anyway).

Ideally situated at the northern tip of Malta and an excellent starting point for all areas of Malta.

The inexpensive but efficient bus service terminus is nearby and there is a splendid promenade you can walk along and view the scenery, with lots of shops cafes and bars along the way. One part of the peninsula offers a a
small but safe beach, but most of the seashore is rocky but flat.

Not an area for the young at heart (St-Julians caters for this) but it does offer a varied and enjoyable part of the island.

the resort was ok but there is no beach but as it was April and we are not beach lovers it did not matter to us, there wasn't any entertainment in the resort so you have to stay in the hotel, and as they don't seem to collect the rubbish as often as at home the litter bins were overflowing and there was a lot of litter and dog dirt on the pavement, the people are realy nice and nothing is to much trouble so i would say go have a look and see for yourself just try to pick a good hotel.

We stayed in the resort of Qwara. I found this area of Malta to be very clean. We were all inclusive so tended in the evening to stay in the hotel for the entertainment but a few bars around had the football on etc. While we were there we never actually visted the beach to comment on it.

Didn't see much of the resort and certainly nothing of the beach. The hotel was more than enough for us!

The resort is really nice and the boat trip to the blue lagoon was great. Take the buses they go everywhere quite cheap and regular. Its not far from Buggiba where you can find something for everyone. The beaches are mostly shingle you will have to travel for a good sandy beach and there are loads of boat trips to go on you just need laods of time to go on them all.My daughter was eight when we were there and she loved it and as they are english speaking its a bonus.
