The hotel complex was absolutely spotless. There is an exceptionally high standard and regular quality/cleanliness inspections by what appear to be Moon Palace management. The hotel offers a kitchen tour, which actually takes in the laundry - might sound strange but I'd recommend anyone going on it. The high standards of cleanliness and hygiene extend to downstairs as well as upstairs. Be sure to visit the section where they make cakes, chocolates, ice cream and ice lollies!!
The entertainment is there to be enjoyed and staff appear to work very hard to keep guests entertained.
Seaweed can appear on the beach in vast quantities but is quickly cleaned away. The beach is kept very clean.

Anything you want, you can find in Cancun, from fine dining to all night clubbing. Great beaches, great shopping

The best way for me to describe Cancun is to say its Blackpool but hotter. There are so many huge hotel complexes and pubs, clubs, restaurants and shopping areas. You can never be stuck for something to do here. But its not the nicest looking resort i've been to. We did not experience any noise related problems whilst staying in this area but I think for some hotels, this could be a problem.
They are constantly building new hotels, so there always seems to be construction sites around the area.
The beaches we visited where nice but very busy. Beach facilities where in plentiful supply.
This really is the place to come and party.

Cancun was all we had hoped for and more. Classy and sophisticated, hot and very humid.
The Mexican people were warm and friendly. We stayed in an all inclusive hotel so we didn't venture out too much but the resort in the evening was very lively, something for everyone, cocktail bars to popular nightclubs.
The beach is amazing, powdery white sand and the bluest sea. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cancun to anyone.
We will definatly be returning some day.

The resort of Cancun is very commercialised - so if you like that sort of thing such as Hard Rock Cafe's, MacDonalds then you'll love it. For me, I was glad I was staying at the Moon Palace Hotel because it is not smack bang in the centre of Cancun, so you can the best of both worlds. We had a few trips into Cancun to do some shopping and we enjoyed it, the nightlife is buzzing and we can highly recommend Coco Bongo's Club.

The beach is beautiful, I didn't see any litter at all. Go to the beach late at night and see tiny baby turtles hatching and trying to find thier way to the sea! It really is amazing.
The weather was fantastic. We visited late August, so were warned to expect hurricane weather. Didn't experience anything like a hurricane, and it only rained a few times - but when it rained, it really did pour. But one hour later it would be bright sunshine again.
Cancun has a great selection of Bar's and Club's. Coco Bongo's is a must. It puts on show with look-a-like Michael Jacksons, Beyonce, they even had a Superman show suspended from the ceiling.
Make sure you drive a speedboat out through the lagoon into the sea to snorkel with the fish. A fantastic experience.
Would love to visit Cancun again. Two weeks was not long enough!

Cancun is a truly amazing place, well worth the 10 hour flight from Glasgow.
People are very friendly and honest.
I loved every minute of it and cant wait to go back.

The shops were to die for! A few minutes walk on one side of the hotel and you come accross a massive American style shopping mall with loads of clothes sgops, jewellery shops and Luxury Avenue (my personal favourite) where D&G, FFendi, etc are.
A few minutes walk on the other side of the hotel is a massive outdoor mall, which also has the designer names but also supermarket, the Aquarium (where you can swim with the dolphins), plenty of gift shops and restaurants and bars, and you can take a boatt ride onto the lagoon.
The beach was gorgeous but a bit too wavey for my liking.
There's a small supermarket accross the road from the hotel as well as an HSBC bank with ATM facilities. Taxi rank and bus stop also there.

The resort of Cancun is generally clean and presentable, apart from the pavements which require concentration when walking around the holes and uprooted trees!
The entertainment in Cancun again felt very 18-30s lots of loud clubs with queues of youngsters outside. The beach was great on the first week, unfortunately we were on the resort when Hurricane Emily hit, so the beach was slightly affected with debris (quite understandable really).
We were not on an actual beach at the hotel, so it was a walk to various different beaches, all of different standards.
We would probably not visit Cancun again, purely due to the fact that it is catered more for younger people (we are under 45 and apart from the good restaurants we had to find due to the poor food at the hotel, there was not a lot else on offer in the evenings).
The trips / tours that we did were brilliant, including a Jungle Tour, visiting Isla Mujeres and the dolphins which were the highlight of the holiday
