The resort was clean and the locals were very friendly! It is a very child friendly area and I would return in a minute!

The resort is a very friendly, safe, clean resort - I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone wanting a low key holiday. I did not see any litter lying about, the roads and pavements were clean and the beach was immaculate. I cannot comment on the resort entertainment as we always went back to our own entertainment.

When we arrived at the Montemar we were fairly impressed. It was quiet and looked nice. There were a group of about three families including us that got off the coach. Although, as we were left to wait out side at around 3am for about half an hour (after telling reception three times that we were there!).
Finally a Stellios (Easy Jet Manager) look a-like appeared takeing one set of familys at a time to there appartments (we were one of the last!) he led us down a rubbly path just watching as we lugged our suitcases in toe (as it was to bumpy to use the path).
We were overlooking the tennis court we were staying in T3 Stellios just watched in awe as me and my two children lugged our suitcases up the stairs (running over our toes many times. He still stood there and watched as my 12 year old daughter nealy fall down them!
When comeing back down to help her brother, Stellios went in to put the out-side light on... oh how kind! We were a bit shocked when we saw a small scatty kitchen with a pool of water by the refridgerater and a terrible sofa bed!! Not really how it looked in the brochure. Anyway we got in to our appartments seconds later Stellios disappeared we had to find out about the safe etc and fan for ourselves. Cheers what a help!!
As by now it was around 4-4.30am, people were fast asleep in next door apts so we did't wan't to wake them,we had a look around I must admit I was pleased with the bathroom-(clean, new soap and a bath! but not all apartment's get these so best to ask First Choice, although we could't get the emmersion heater to work but workers came out next morning although we did have to call them out twice!and it was promptly fixed) and bed room was pleased clean linin comfey beds except the sofa bed which my son had to sleep on.
He was plaged by RED ants which were from the tree out-side and it was dredfully uncomfertable! As there was a sort of long thin cushion to cover the brick base it was skinny (not a full sized single bed and only one pillow and a sheet) (as we went in July so there may be the opertunity if you did't go high season).
The fan in the bedroom was rickerty and looked like it was going to fall down allthough it was solid as my daughter had the unfortunacey to find out. As she went to open to incovenintly positioned window and hit her hand on it.
We had a tv although we could only get CNN and spanish tv, I can't remember ever seing the cleaners (we went for a week). In the picture in the brochure it showed a nice modern glass table... ours was a rusty wooden one, the floor having said that it was OK.
Out and about the tennis court was good I played twice ( however during peak sun time it was too hot to play as there was no shade, and it was fairly expensive to waste an hour). The pool we loved however we were glad we did't have an apartment around there as the balconies were right behind the sunloungers and people were literally sat next to you.
The pool was really big and kept clean there were two seperate childrens pools. There was a bridge going over the top of the pool however we were mad when youths kept jumping off it towards the last two days of my holiday, despite being warned by reception staff.
The reception was located by the pool so you could pass on any complaints. The restaurant staff were fab and most were helpful and served a range of food, there was another bar type place on the other side of the pool which served ice-cream, cold drinks and bar food.
There is a shop which sells lilos, rubber rings, although are about 12- 20 euros... quite expensive!
The entertainment is... well loud but good, there is plenty to keep children adged 3 to 8 amused and football for the ones interested, although first impressions were just ok I enjoyed my stay and you never know in a few years I might return?

Cala llonga is a small resort set around a cove. Most of the hotels provide their own entertainment as there is only a handfull of restaurants and bars ideal for families and older couples.

Very clean resort, nice restaurants but you often find yourself eating in the same ones as there isnt that many, unless you go into the hotel reastaurants, good entertainment in the hotels and the beach was very clean and drinks are available on the beach!

This resort is quite small and as such does not have a wide variety of options.
The resort is kept tidy and clean.
The beach is in a beautiful bay, the sand is quite hard and the sea is full of rocks.

The resort offers something for nearly everyone, a Play Park on beach for children also a fun fair at rear of resort plenty of restaurants and bars.
A market visits each weeks with Artisan market on Thursdays in Toni's bar up the hill by pharmacy.
Entertainment nightly in most bars good quiz at Flippers -great laugh.
Bus stop at top of beach to Santa Eulalia and Ibiza Town you can get buses at either of these towns to get elsewhere.
Beach cleaned daily water is shallow a long way out so safe for children, great diving school (have a go the instructors are really patient if you never tried before).
It is a relaxing resort with most entertainment ending around midnight though you can carry on drinking for longer, but don't miss 'Mr Cairos' its a fun bar with a good dance floor that stays open nearly all night and they do some mad stuff there.
