Beach lovely and child friendly. You can get a ferry to other parts of the island... great! Buses are good. Resort is very attractive, but we did hire a car to see more of the island. Cala Llonga does have pretty much all you need if a beach holiday is your main criteria.
Enjoy!

The resort was lovely, very clean and tidy great attention to detail as goes the rubbish on the beach, quickly picked up as soon as it falls very well presented with regular buses to Ibiza town.

calla llonga is a very nice resort which is within easy reach of larger resorts in ibiza by a pleasant boat ride or by bus.
It is more for families and people who want a nice relaxing holiday. The locals are friendly and helpful.

Cala Llonga is a perfect resort for families with young children and young teenagers. Brilliant beach which is shallow for a long way out.
Itis a pretty and quiet resort but also a good base to travel to other resorts like Santa Eulalia , Es Cana and Ibiza town on the local buses or the water taxi. When we were there Oct 04 the prices were
Local Bus (single)
€1.10 Cala Llonga to Santa Eulalia
€1.45 Cala Llonga to Ibiza Town
Water Taxi (return)
€6.50 Cala Llonga to Santa Eulalia
€11.50 Cala Llonga to Ibiza Town
A few of the pubs had entertainment most night we preffered the Up and Inn across from the mini funfair and the internet cafe.
Eating out was fairly priced we were on average €33 for the 4 of us main course and drink. For real home made chips try La Cantina mmm.
All in all we would go back to Cala Llonga for a quiet and relaxing holiday.

If your looking to party all night long, then this resort is not for you. Quiet with a hand full of bars and restaurants, but it does have a nightclub which is open until 5.00am.
The resort was very clean and tidy with a few sovenier shops to have a look round. It also has a little fair ground for the kids (and adults)
Beach was nice, but could be seaweedy at times ~ Watch out for the Jelly Fish!

Cala Llonga itself was a big disappointment, there is no way it can be described as a family resort. If your idea of fun is stopping your kids from knocking over your drinks then you will have a great time here. Other than air hockey or pool there was not a bar that had a single thing for kids. There was not a play area, ball pit, bouncy castle etc in sight.
There was a playground on the beach with climbing frames, swings, slides etc but this doesn’t keep kids happy for 2 weeks. Also the funfair was there but this cost money, money, money.
Every family I spoke to (and there was a lot) said the same thing – nothing for kids. However, it was definitely more suited to retired couples. Many of them returned year after year and loved the place. They did seem to think just because it had a small park on the beach and a funfair (£££££ remember) that it was great for kids. Believe me – it isn’t!!!
The beach had great potential but we had days where you had to wade through thick murky seaweed to get into the sea, and on the odd occasion jelly fish came for a look around. I believe this could happen anywhere so maybe we were unlucky.
We made the best of the situation and still had a good holiday. But at times it was very, very testing. It seems unfair to blame the Ibiza apartments for Cala Llongas downfalls but the noise from the motorbikes was appalling and the lack of things for the kids to do was disappointing to say the least.. Hopefully something will be done about the local racers and maybe the bars will take a leaf out of San Antonio Bay or Playa den Bossas book and find something other than pool for kids. I’ve seen a Little Tykes playhouse keep children entertained in a bar for ages- so it isn’t asking the world. Other than that, the tour operators should maybe stop calling Cala Llonga a family resort.

Cala Llonga itself has been unspoilt. There is just enough to do for a week in my opinion but two weeks could be a bit boring. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and a little fair for kids. The beach was small but clean.

The resort was secluded and quiet ideally suited to couples. The transport services were limited not only in quantity but also return timings(last bus/ferry back was about seven o'clock). The holiday was good value however cost in resort were high.
The beach was nice but they do have a problem with cigarette ends. Sun beds are costly (two beds and a umbrella 10.50 Euro's)
I would recommend that a car is hired to allow the exploration of the island. A better car deal would be gained if requested as part of the holiday deal.
We flew by Air Europa good leg room (normal seats) and good service.
