The beach was kept spotless with a lifeguard, which was handy if you have children.
The entertainment at night in the resort was quite varied, so you could always find something to see.
I would visit this resort again, but not this hotel.

We stayed in Es Cana in September. Liked the area very much. A choice of beaches, Es Cana, Cala Nova and Cala Martina all in easy walking distance. Lots of other little beaches further away if you like walking. Be warned you may come across nudists in some strange places. Various walking routes in the area, look out the for the coloured posts, different in every resort. They are called Ruta de Falco.
If you go to Formentera independently, beware of the bus trip the boat people tell you to go on. It is E9.00 each, they take you to Es Pujols beach for about 4 hours, then when you get back on the bus it takes you to the lighthouse at La Mola for about 30 mins, then to a viewpoint for about 15 mins. You then get no time to look round La Sabina and have to get back on the boat. This is all OK if you are prepared for a day on the beach and if the weather is good.
We went to the Hippy Market. Best time to go is about 4pm as by this time the coach parties have left.
Going about by bus and boat is easy but you do have to change at St Eularia for Ibiza Town.
Would return to Es Cana in the future but probably only for a week.

I know a lot of people who like it and have returned many many times. But I prefered Santa Eulalia. For me there is not enough to see and not enough places to visit on a night.

Nice resort, been a few times and it has changed over the years- not for the better in my opinion.
There are better resorts in Ibiza.

Lovely resort, was quite quiet when we were there. Beach was lovely, clean had a bit of seaweed but was regularly removed. On one beach they have a nudist section which is not sign posted. However i will point out this is NOT the beach that is shown in most holiday brochures.
RESTAURANTS ETC: Marvents do lovely food, friendly staff good prices. Apache is also really good laugh, they have a "bull" and is a laugh, drinks usually BOGOF.
Popeyes was really good, there is pool around the back, we often went there in the afternoon for a couple (or few) drinks and the kids played in the pool.
We also went to "seas" one evening and the food was awefull and so was the service!
We would go back here and would recommend it.

Es Cana is a beautiful resort, not too loud and lively, but not too quiet. The beach is lovely, with bars and cafe's stretching all along it, however a short walk past the Hotel Miami brings you to a even better beach, with bigger waves and a sandier beach.
At the Cala Nova beach (the better one) there were life guards which made it even safer for children. Every Wednesday there is a hippy market, which i found great!
The number of restaurants and bars available was plenty considering the size of the resort, and most were reasonably priced apart from the more upmarket looking bars which charged way too much for drinks.
The Entertainment in the resort was brilliant, especially at Charlies bar right near the beach, although its very pricey in there.
It was really lovely in the evening, after finishin your evening meal, the shops are open well into the night so you can have a nice walk around town.
I cannot find a fault with anything on my holiday, and would most deffinetly reccoment Es Cana as a top resort in Ibiza.

Es Cana is great for everyone. Plenty of places to drink and eat.Los Pinos (on the same road as Anfora Playa hotel)is a great bar for food and drink.a pint 1.4 euros, local spirt and mixer 2 euros. Meal of the day 7 euros, 3 courses and wine and water. We had a few meals in here and realy enjoyed them.
Lots of things to keep the kids busy, fun fair and bars that had slides, bulls ect . Becarefull if you visit the Bull bar as the slide is 20 foot high and is not supervised by an adult. It gets very busy, my son was pushed head first off the top of this slide, luckily he was not badly hurt but ok. We wouldn`t let him go on it again, I would advise anyone using it to sit close to it and if it gets busy to stop their child from using it until it gets less busier.
The main beach is nice, busy but always space to sit. A fair amount of seaweed and a few jelly fish but it didn`t spoil our enjoyment. Cala Martin past the hippy market was our favorite beach. Cala Nova very nice but the day we went the sea was a bit rough for our son. Nudist bit in the middle if you want an allover tan.
This was our second time in Es Cana, can`t wait to visit again.

Es Cana was not exactly "looked after" the paving was a bit dangerous and sometimes there is no pavement at all, but there were plenty of tourist shops and eateries and very cheap restaurants. The beach was adequate but got a lot of scum and seaweed on the shoreline, I did see a worker raking it up one day, beware of the little jelly fish, the pharmasist advised us, they sting the kids.

The resort itself is lovely with lots of things for children. Beach front restaurants are great. However do watch out for the jelly fish in the sea.
