Beaches

There were plenty of bars and cafes in the resort, we would recommend Bar 2TT and Popeyes. There were 3 beaches in Es cana,we preferred Cala Nova beach about 15min walk from hotel, sunbeds cheaper and beach much nicer than others. We went on 2 boat trips from Es cana ,boats leave at regular intervals and quite reasonable fares to different destinations.Ibiza town trip was good especially if you like visiting the history and old town buildings. But still plenty of bars cafes oh and yes shops but we found them more expensive than in Es Cana. One word of advice for all holidaymakers check your change after paying and also when changing money as we found a lot of short changing happening so just be aware.

Es Cana is gorgeous, it has lots of shops, bars and a couple of funfairs, this can be pretty expensive but hey, your on holiday! Keeps the kids happy thats for sure, the main funfair is on the main street leading down to the beach, Es Cana has a lovely harbour area and the beach and sea are small with lots of fish but can be jellyfish too, my husband had a walk to Cala Nova beach which is next to the Miami and he said it was far nicer with a good surf and the beach was alot nicer and quieter, I didnt go there myself as I dont realy like sand but my daughter had a great time on the waves on her lilo. The bars are all family friendly, only one has people outside handing out leaflets but they arent in your face, there are some nice restaurants too including chinese and italian, you can get round the resort in about 1/2 hour its not big and runs in a circle shape but its very clean and just have a lovely atmosphere, nearly Santa Eulalia is very nice too and your only 1/2 hour from the water park, although its not that good there to be honest. Plenty of shops and supermarkets, some cheap some expensive and a range of hotels. We have found Ibiza has some lovely resorts but this has to be one of the best I have ever stayed in, and you will want to return however, if you want the nightlife, stick with San Antonio! Enjoy!

A lovely family resort with a nice sandy beach, able to wade out from shore some distance! My husband and 10 year old daughter had a fab time snorkling in the sea. The resort has plenty of resturants and bars to choose from and a selection of gift shops to browse around! In my opinion a lovely place to spend a holiday!

The whole resort is spotless. There is a good selection of entertainment from little bars, karaoke, and disco bar which starts off with a tribute band most nights and ends up disco think this was called charlies. The beach is beautiful and you can look out at the boats. Would go back in the morning and hopefull some day we will. Food and drink dirt cheap

Great little resort, loads of bars and retaurants to meet all tastes. Some great beaches and walks for sun lovers. Highly recommended is the SOLIMAR RESTAURANT we ate here 10 nights out of 14, if you want it they have it from set menu's to special offers and some of the friendliest staff anywhere on the Island. Not so great are the Chinese restaurants in EsCana, all I can say is they do not offer the same standard of food and value you would expect and when you complain the previously perfect english becomes " sorry we no speak english". Don't forget to give Fat Moe's a try (great bar) All in all Es Cana is a lovely family resort on a great Island.

The resort was clean and pleasant. Locals were friendly but keen to point out that we were there the last week of the season...
I wouldn't recommend the end of season to anyone looking for a lively resort but for families or those looking for a peaceful break it was ideal in October though I imagine much busier and rowdier in 'season'.

Escana is a small resort but with plenty going on.
The resort seemed clean enough.
There are a variety of bars and plenty of places to eat, quite a few with entertainment.
While we were there they had a firework display one evening and it was fantastic, also a "free" tourist day when we went on a "road train" ride and then watched the local group of traditional dancers in the evening, when free drinks and cake were given out.
The beach is very nice, the sand is cleared every day of any seaweed and rubbish.
There are beds and sunshades if you want them but they are 4 Euro a day each. We took beach mats and there was plenty of space to put them down without having to pay for beds.
There is a lifeguard on the beach.
The bus station is in the centre, opposite hotel and buses run regularly, 1.35 euro to Santa Eulalia where you can get buses to other parts of the island.
There is a selection of amusement type rides for children, these seemed to cost about 2.5 euros each. There is also a small play park beside the bus station.
A small information kiosk is situated behind the bus station and they put up various activities for resort and other areas. They also have bus timetables and maps for local walks.
There are some nice walks, you can take a coastal walk to Santa Eulalia, takes about 1.5 hours, not suitable for pushchairs. This passes a few small beaches so you can stop for breaks if you want to, the beaches have little cafes for refreshments. You can also walk in the other direction from Escana on a coastal walk.
The Hippy market is about 10 minutes walk from Escana centre and it is huge. This is held every Wednesday. It is well worth a visit. Watch out for the "human" statues.
A lovely resort, well worth going to even if you stay in another resort for your holiday. We would go again.

Beach was very popular but not too over-crowded with a few nice clean beach side bars for us to take advantage while the kids played just feet away from us on the sand.
Plenty of shows , kids loved the Zodiac with aa huge pool and a smaller one for youngsters and daily specials on the menu.
