for a small resort quite busy but at a nice pace, regular public busses to santa eularia were you join a connecting bus to any where on island, very cheap and very reliable, a 3 hour trip on the road train is worth a visit. not your boom boom night club type of place but some lovely beach side restaurant, cafes and bars. but if you like bingo and spoof atrist type of place charlies is very popular.

The resort is a fairly lively place with a lot of young families & young lads. The time we were there we witnessed no problems at all and friendly banter was given we a few comments on the various football team strips proudly on show at the live matches watched on SKY TV!
The resort is clean and the main beach is busy, better walking another two bays round to the left santa layynia which was great, fantastic swimming, no problems with sun beds and loads of fish of various sizes to admire whilst snorkling! In the resort loads of beach side cafes all after your money and reasonable prices, drinks a lot cheaper than the hotels! A choice of shops selling all of stuff from swim wear to your mandatory tourist tat. Fairground to keep the kids happy & couple of night clubs.

The main beach at Es Cana is rather dirty with seaweed and murky water however you can get away to much better beaches at Cala Nova and Cala Llenya, both were windier with rough sea. The were the usual British bars with entertainment, standard Balearic islands stuff. Plenty of restaurants to suit most tastes and they were better than the hotel fodder.

Enjoyed holiday but would advise older couples that this is a very noisy resort and would possibly be better earlier in the year.

beach outside the hotel was dirty and smelled. However, 15 mins walk away were two great beaches cala nova and cala llenya. The resort was an odd mix of bars fun fare rides and shops.
Best bars we found were La Jacaranda which was to the right of the hotel two mins away with the best views over the sea ( quite stunning) and reasonable prices ( try the champaigne Sangria). Also Popeyes was great food and drink. Also Apache offered good value for money with buy one get one free. Try the bubble gums shots.

the resort was really nice with plenty to do for all ages. The beach was crowded but it was peak season and also there was a few jelly fish. Overall we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this resort for anyone.

Es Cana is a small, but very compact resort with lots going on. Plenty of bars, shops & cafes etc.
There are water sports,& boat trips to take you to different parts of the island at a reasonable cost.
Several beaches are within walking distance, as the main one tends to get very busy. So you can be spoilt for choice!

Es Cana is one of our favorite resorts. Have been visiting/staying here on and off since 1982. Watched it grow from fields to what it is now. Shame that some establishments have closed down. The area could do with having some money injected for 'up market' drinking holes/restaurants, it's looking a little tired now.

Not an awful lot to do for teenagers but we found some super bars on the beach front
