Booked as a late deal. Looked on web and there it was on "Holidays from Hell". Tried to cancel and failed, so needless to say we were very worried but had to go anyway.

Hotel was very very hot inside. Staff were very slow. Our room was very small and on 8th floor overlooking the entertainment area.

We found it loud, crowded and dirty, especially the pool. Can't rememeber what the entertainment was like as went to bed due to early flight the first night (do recall it was very noisy though!)

The next morning we saw poster saying if anyone would like to consider it, they would move people to another hotel (obviously overbooked). We jumped at the chance and moved to Viva Sunrise (which was a wonderful aparthotel) that morning. As we were AI, we came back for breakfast most days and for dinner each evening (early so we could get back to the other hotel for evening entertainment). Have to say food wasn't actually too bad, but we had to queue each day, but not for long. We found Marte restaruant to be the best.

Could have been a disastrous holiday, but actually ended up very good, however would recommend Jupiter/ Saturno/Marte complex to anyone and it's put us off Alcudia for life.

I have visited this hotel complex five times, with friends and family. Find it excellent value for your money. kids love it there as there is always plenty to do.

Food is always varied and always plenty to drink.

We like the complex so much we are returning next year even though my kids are now adults with their partners, really looking forward to our holidy.

Some people read bad reviews on the hotels but we have never had a bad holiday there, be prepared for lots of kids though.

We stayed at the Saturno from 14th-28th June 2003. We were a party of 4 adults and three children. We travelled with Cosmos and I have to say that having travelled with Thomsons for the past 5 years, i would place Thomsons in the premier division were as Comos would not make the fourth. The reps were only interested in selling trips. One rep even has a whip round for the children clubs as they were running short of paper and had no more money for the summer season.
(Nice idea but should Cosmos be sorting this out without getting guest involved)
Most of the Guest who travelled with Cosmos were in the Saturno. This is by far the worst of the three hotels. You enter the reception area which is dull and dark and does not give you the impression that you have entered a three star hotel. You enter the Jupiter and Marte and straight away you get this impression. The carpets on the landings were shabby and worn out. The first impressions of the rooms were that they were very basic but clean. The air conditioning worked a treat and was necessary. The rooms were cleaned most days to a high standard. The overall food in the restaurants was of a high standard with a good choice available. My personal opinion was that Breakfasts were not up to much with the same selections available everyday, but what else can you do at breakfast.
We had small children and ideally needed to be near to the pool side so we had to be up pretty early to get a sunbed.
The swimming pool was very busy and on some days you could move. I would estimate that there must have been over 200 people in the pool at any one time. There was a life guard which was a good plus. Overall the hotels have allot to offer. Lots to see and do. There were queues at the bars but this was to be expected. You are limited to four drinks per person but we went in twos and got two rounds (Tip We bought a tupper ware box to carry the drinks and it worked a treat. A good plastic tray would help as well)
You had to be outside before 7.0pm to guarantee a seat for the entertainment so we didn't bother. We did see some of the entertainment which was very average. Bingo is held outside the Jupiter every night at 9.0pm
There are lots of things for the children to spend your money. They have sweet shops, video games rides, bouncy castles, and trips and after 1.pm you have to pay for pedalos.
There are a number of bars and restaurants nearby and the main resort is a about 15 min walk away and is recommended.
The hotel was fully booked and overbooked on some occasions (We were told as much as 200 people) and the hotel was constantly trying to get guest to go to other hotels and villas.
Overall we had a great time but would not return due to the size of the complex and number of guests. I would say that the staff work hard and are generally very helpful and friendly. The complex is clean and well maintained
Finally there is a water park opposite the hotel saturno which cost 14 euros per adult. We went there several times and had a great time.It is not the biggest water park i have been too but for the money is good value. You can have you hand stamped and return to the hotels for drinks food etc.

I can't fault this hotel.

Good food, friendly staff and very clean.

A different theme menu every night from different nations.

The only reason I would not go back to this hotel is because I like to be nearer the Harbour.

I can't fault the Hotel Marte at all.

We stayed in the Marte in April this year for 2 weeks.
It was our 1st time all inclusive and we all really enjoyed it. We is (2 girls, 8 & 5, hubby and self).

We found the food great. Loads of choice and you can eat in any of the sister hotels. Ice cream was available at the bar for the kids. You could get sandwhiches at the bar as well for a midnight snack. The fruit stalls weren`t open we was there.

We used the hotel childrens club which was at the park. They took the kids their on the little train which the kids loved. The staff there were great. The girls made a little diary book with picture that they had drawn in it. To remind them of their HOL. There was loads for younger kids to do there but you do have to pay for somethings like the bouncy castle, swan pedeloes on the lake, tramolines and motorized bikes for little ones. Theres loads of other stuff going on as well.

Litfs could be a pain sometimes refusing to work. But we was only on the 2nd floor so didn`t use it really. There are a few shops on site (general grocery stuff, gifts, pool things and a shop doing braids (really nice). Staff were very helpful and the Rep was nice as well. If you go on a trip you could get a packed lunch if you prove that your really going on a trip. E.G. show your trip slip or proof of car hire I think. We went on coach trips so showed our reciept that the Rep gave us. Book lunch boxes the day before your trip.

The waterpark wasn`t open either while we were there which was disapointing. The shops were great there but we found it a bit of a trek to the town(with the girls) so we got the curtesy bus down to the beach then walked to the shops on the main road. The market was GREAT. I thought so anyway.

The only complait I have is that because its such a big complex they need to do entertaining in the other hotels as well. As they only do it in the Jupiter. Which is not big enough to accomatate all the guests. So get there early if you want a seat.

Lastly I would reconmend the PIRATES trip and the RANCHO (horse and pony riding) trip they were both great.

Would never return to the Jupiter Hotel although Alcudia itself is a great resort.
The food was good and plenty of it and we managed to avoid the queues by going to meals a little later.
The queues for watered down drinks became a chore and there was never a sunbed to lie on during the day or a place to sit at night and if you did stay for the entertainment it wasn't up to much.
It was noisy and very Butlins in the sun...however it rained a lot which meant worse than Butlins as then the hotel became totally jam packed with screaming children and irate parents not knowing what to do.
We booked for two weeks and after the first I wished we hadn't booked the second.
Our visits to the water park, port and town did help to keep my sanity but I was glad to return home and relax.
I must add that I went at the beginning of August, peak period, but I always holiday at this time and haven't come across such over crowding before. This has put me off 'All inclusive' holidays.

It made me laugh when i read someones comments about this hotel saying it was like a working mens club!! I TOALLY AGREE!! Our family has been talking about how VILE this place was for ages. The screaming Scum 24 hours aday! Luckily we only booked in for 1 week but we also spent as much time off the site as possible. It doesnt show in the brochure how close the two hotels are and so any noise sorry "entertainment" by the pool just reverberates between the two buildings. We went out of season and even then you had to queue ages for everything, the bar service was rubbish and everywhere seemed to be sticky. When we arrived we had booked so that there was a cot ready in one of the rooms for my nephew it wasnt ready but what made it worse was the attitude of the staff...they just werent interested. It took over two hours and repeated calls to reception and visits too- to get them to sort out a rickety old cot that wasnt very clean. If this hotel is your idea of a lovely holiday destination then your standards are obviously quite low it was a VILE GAFF full of VILE PEOPLE. We are going back to Alcudia this year but id rather go on survivor than go to this hotel again. Majorca can be very lovely but if you want to stay at a decent hotel with proper standards DO NOT STAY HERE! If you have booked here pay the extra to swap to another hotel-itll be well worth it.They served us Salmon lasagne that sums it all up for me !!! GOOD LUCK

I totally agree with the latter two comments on this hotel. The hotel generally was very noisy and I personally think that it was like being in a workingmens club (not that there is anything wrong with this) so long as you are into that sort of thing. Noisy, unruly children (AND ADULTS). We were unfortunate to have scum staying both above and either side of us. If you are into listening to every other word being an F-Word and listening to some guy beating up the wife and children then this is definitely the place to be. We paid for an all inclusive holiday, all childrens activities etc. The only problem with this being that our children would not join in any of these due to the amount of bullying that went on. Even the swimming pool by the lake became intolerable and out of bounds, every time my kids went to play they were attacked by other horrid kids or even had to watch out for moronic adults kicking footballs straight across the pool and hitting young children. By the way, beware of thieves. We had several items stolen from around the pool, not by children I must add but by the adults. My young son was convinced that a certain individual had taken some of his scuba diving gear and approached him, the guy said that it belonged to his son. My lad tried again the following day and this certain individual has his child with him. This child told his father "Let him have it back dad cus I didn't really want it anyway". This hotel got so unbearable after the first few days (we were there for two weeks) that we felt we had to stay off the complex as much as possible, entertaining the children elsewhere. As you can imaging this meant spending a lot of money which should not have been necessary. Entertainment in the evening was abysmal, same things every single night. Overall Alcudia town and port is beautiful and well worth a visit. The beach is crowded but plenty to do. If you are thinking of taking any excursions then arrange these yourself as it is far cheaper than going through the most unhelpful, rude, couldn't really give a damn Cosmos Reps. The poor hotel staff were excellent considering the amount of work they had to do because of the filth left by some families. (CHECK YOUR GUTTERS ON BALCONY FOR CIGARETTE BUTTS LEFT IN THEM.)Don't leave towels on balcony unless you want them covered in ash or even cigarette butts from some dirty pig above. The hotel is too small for the amount of people staying there, very overcrowded, although well kept considering some of the lager louts staying there (Parents). If you want a sunbed then make sure your towel is out by 8.30. The food was excellent, large variety and the dining room was exceptionally well organised considering the amount of people passing through each day. Basically, if you were to take out the scum families and lager louts it would be a lovely place to stay. I would go back to Alcudia but not to stay here.

I agree totally with the person who said it was like Butlins. The hotel itself should have been excellent. All the facilities were there. However they didn't cater for the amount of guests staying. For example on an evening the main entertainment was on the Jupiter stage. This was meant for guests from Jupiter, Saterno and Marte. There was not enough seats for all the guests. You had to be down at 6.00pm to get a seat and the entertainment did not start until 9.00pm.
Another problem was unruly kids running all over, up and down in lifts and being generally rude. A favourite pastime seemed to be spitting down the stairs from the top floor. This was unfortunate if you happened to be waiting for a lift. The embarassing thing was that most of the morons were English and the Spanish staff probably think that all the English are disgusting.
There was damp in our hotel room in the bathroom and up the bedroom wall but it was not too big a problem. Apart from that you couldn't fault the hotel itself.
