We had room 625 on the top floor overlooking the pool. It was perfectly adequate and not much road noise. A bit small but ok for 2 people as you don't spent much time in it apart from sleeping. Lovely modern walk in shower.

alicudia was a pleasent family resort to stay in, the beach was safe and very clean, the restuarant choice was very varied, cheers fun pub was a favorite with the kids as was the water park our kids 9,7,5 loved it, the shops were varied price wise but if you looked a bargain could be found, there were many street traders selling fake goods but if you haggled the price would half. definete repeat visit on the cards

The resort is in a quieter area might not suit party animals. Although the local buses run regularly and taxis are cheap. The quality and the accessibility to the beach are brilliant.

The Playa de Muro resort was often very clean, with no rubbish or items to spoil the views. However, the entertainment was a little thin on the ground. There were plenty of restaurants for families to eat out at, but not much for older teenagers like myself and my sister. Luckily for us, the Viva Blue hotel provided enough evening entertainment to solve this problem. Also, there is an excellent bus service that will take you to more lively areas such as Belle View and Can Picafort, just up the road. The beach at Playa de Muro, was stunning! The sand was soft and white, and the sea was a beautiful dark blue, with areas of turquoise. One could have easily mistaken it for somewhere in the Carribean. Overal, I really enjoyed my stay at Playa de Muro, and I'd say the same for my other family members aswell. I'd definitely reccommend this resort to other families.

Hotel is 5kms out of the centre of Alcudia, but regular buses are available from outside the hotel. Only a handful of shops and restaurants within close proximity of the hotel. C'an Picafort only a couple of kms the other way.

we were on the outskirts of Alcudia, about an 8 euro taxi ride. The bit next to appartments was fairly small, 3 supermarkets, some bars and resturants and a disco. However this suited us fine as we liked the quiet and with the main strip so close it was no problem. Alcudia itself has some nice resturants, liked Luna one in particular, had an excellent meal with good live music and it has some nice bars. Probably not enough very late night life for my son and daughter but plenty enough for my wife and I.
Beach was lovely, miles and miles of clean sand, as usual you paid for the sunbeds and shades but that is pretty standard anywhere. Did have a go on the banana boat and rings , enjoyed it as much as the kids. Went for a few swims in the sea which was pretty safe, shallow out to a 100 yards or so, would be particularly good for families with small kids. Breeze was nice as it kept you getting too hot from the glorious sun.
The whole family agreed they would happily come here again.
excellent holiday !!

beach fairly close and very nice. restaurants in area clean reasonably priced and nice food. local transport good to local towns. street traders were fun to watch and passed the time between dinner and bedtime. no young girl left the resort without her hair plaited!. we had a very good time. any problems we had were listened to sympathetically by hotel staff.

the resort has something for everyone. theres a HUGE beach, also the hydropark with 14 waterslides, about 5 pools, loads of places to sunbathe and eat. and even a mini golf course (54 holes!) once you're in though they like to rip you off... 4.50 for a locker, 3.50 for a sunbed, and bring a bit to get lunch too!
some bars are quite low-key... aimed at couples and families really. to get the the proper nightlife you have to walk about 20 mins and there are lively bars and clubs there - menta is probably the best - big dance area, big bar area outside, and it even has its own swimming pool - genius idea!! thursdays seems to be foam party night which was great. we did venture to a club by accident which we think is a bisexual club but we're not 100% sure! its slogan is "open minds" though...
alcudia really has stuff to offer everyone - its not for the 18-30 holiday type people but whether you're a couple, family, or group of friends theres something for you.
