We had room 625 on the top floor overlooking the pool. It was perfectly adequate and not much road noise. A bit small but ok for 2 people as you don't spent much time in it apart from sleeping. Lovely modern walk in shower.

Alcudia is beautiful. Ok maybe the main strip is a bit Blackpoolish but walk off the main road and its really gorgeous. The beach is beautiful white sands and blue sea, you can walk out for a few hundred yards and the water is still up to your waist. Also the beach is fringed with some fantastic houses, its great to walk along dreaming of that lottery win.
Depending on what you like to eat Im sure you will find it in Alcudia, There is all the typical bars with English style food, If you would like something a bit more spanish go off the beaten track a little bit. We ate down by the harbour one night and had Fresh Squid and Grilled Prawns Home made bread with Olives and Ali Oli and it was no more expensive than the places on the main strip, also it was much cooler away from the hustle and bustle.
Straight opposite gates of the Bellevue thre is a road at the side of the Pharmacy about 500 yards up there on the left is the Jolly Rodger this is owned by an English lady called Julie , food is great , atmosphere very laid back and there is a little pool in the back, we thought this was a place great value for money . Each night they have a different 3 course special and they were always really good.
The best chinese we found was the Shaghi Garden the buffet was fab and they finish off the night with a bottle of sparkling wine for everyone. We had a great night at Lunas Grill at the Take That tribute night. They were fantastic and so are the Lunas Kebabs.

I have been to Alcudia twice now and it isnt for me. Palma Nova or Cala Dor are much nicer. The resort is pretty quiet so you get bored after a few days. The beach is very good and quite empty which is excellent.

alcudia is a lovely place for a family holiday especially for young kids its not a good place if your up for parting all nite(as i am)as most entertainment stops at midnight. Every bar has something for the kids to do and all staff are nice and friendly to the kids. The beach is beautiful plenty of golden sand and beautiful luke warm water(waves can be abit big at times)cheers bar is briallant for the kids and the adults you should try and take a trip to the old town of alcudia its beautiful roman struture(also have a briallant market)if ur going on any tours i recomened the house of katmandu the upside down mansion u will never see anything like it briallant fun(abit scary for under fives) i would go back to alcudia but not anytime in the near future(im abit sick of the spansish resorts i think greece will b my next destation

We last visited Alcudia 10 years ago, not that much has changed but the canals need a good clean out. Some of them have a layer of scum on top and do smell a bit.Surely it wouldn't cost that much to sort them out.
The port area has been pedestrianised since our last visit which makes it a nice place for a stroll at night.
Entertainment wise there is plenty on for families, so that was good for us, not sure about singles/couples.
The beach is brilliant with it's shallow waters, ideal for us as our youngest is 3 years old, the only downside was the sulphur smell, don't know what caused it.

Second time in Alcudia. Last time we were in the Alcudia Pins area which is a bit remote. This time we stayed in the centre of the strip so lots to do. Beach was five minutes away, very clean, sandy and safe - the water was shallow for a long way out so very safe for kiddies. Lots of sunbeds (3.50) so we took airbeds instead. Lots of shops, restaurants of all types and bars, most kiddy friendly with various entertainment. The notorious 'smell' was apparent now and again but not enough to bother us. The main road is busy but it's not that hard to cross. Definitely a family resort - no lager louts - although there was were a fair amount of well behaved teens. Felt very safe walking out at night as lots of people around and not threatening. Take time to explore the sidestreets as they lead to other little areas a bit more laid back. We found one of these on our last night and wish we had found it earlier. Didnt see one mosquito, or cockcroach, and only one wasp and this was July/August!

Too many mosquitos in Alcudia. Alcudia old town is lovely but expensive. Everything a bit too spread out and hard to find! Water park is fun for younger kids but fun for one day if older! Not a great resort, would not go back but glad we went.
