We had room 625 on the top floor overlooking the pool. It was perfectly adequate and not much road noise. A bit small but ok for 2 people as you don't spent much time in it apart from sleeping. Lovely modern walk in shower.

Enjoyed walking down the strip. Loads of shops with friendly people. Restaurants were all pretty good, some cheaper than others and the pancakes just have to be sampled from the pancake man.
If you want a nice friendly bar to drink in then try Einsteins, on the left over the bridge. It's not long been opened and the owner Andy will bend over backwards to please his customers.
He makes some unusual cocktails and makes a mean cup of milky coffee, the closet you will get to a latte. He caters for all types of customers, the football fanatics, the soap followers and the party goers, check out his music, puts you in the mood for a good old dance.
His prices are good too, so well worth a try.

The resort was very repetitive with regards to menu's/entertainment etc.. The beach was superb and all of the kids wish that we able to spend more time on it but due to the inclemant weather this wasn't possible. Bad weather(rain) spoilt several days as we found it difficult to keep them occupied with out spending a small fortune.

Lagotel is about 5-10 mins walk from the sea-front and main shops. We tried a variety of the restaurants. Every one we visted had a good kids menu, although our son was more interested in the adult menu! There is a new Chinese restaurant very near the hotel which we tried one night and found very good, though towards the high end of the price range. Las Palmeras grill restaurant is also very near the hotel and excellent value for money. We ate there twice and had a very generous main course and dessert (the desserts everywhere were absolutely gorgeous!) each for less 45 euro. We also ate at Nuevos Rancheros (up towards the seafront and turn left), at which we had a good meal, medium price range, but slow service. We also tried Topos Giglio (towards seafront and turn right) which was at the higher price range, and the service was slow (but friendly), but the food was superb and very generous portions again. We also tried the two restaurants right on the seafront, I forget the names, but both were better for lunchtime light meals than evening food.
We went to the Ship one night but found the atmosphere a bit too "Club 18-30" for our tastes, especially when the MC got the kids playing a game which involved drinking a glass of coke the fastest. Our littl'un won... and promptly threw up all over himself.
Prices in the resort vary enormously depending on where you go. The shops at the very centre seem to be generally more expensive than if you go a bit further afield. The supermarket at the hotel was particularly pricey. If you're going self-catering then I suggest you bring your own tea, coffe, sugar, cereal, etc, since you'll be looking at 4 or 5 euros for a box of Rice Krispies! Shopping for other items though was a pleasure, and I got some great bargains on clothes, perfumes, swimwear, etc.
One word of warning: the wetlands of s'Albufeira are quite near and this means the mosquitoes are out in force. I would recommend taking at least 2 cans of Jungle Formula or similar and keep reapplying. I sprayed myself from head to foot twice a day but then forgot one day and got about 8 bites on that day alone.

Playa de Muro is a quiet resort with many of the hotels there boasting a beachfront location. Although not nearly as busy as Alcudia town it has lovely beach, a few souvenir shops, plenty of places to eat, and various supermarkets. We would definetly visit this resort again as its a lot more peaceful than alcudia town.

Alcudia itself is very clean everything is the same where ever you go, busy streets with loads of kids facilites excellent for families as your kids will never be bored but for you young lads and girls a definite no no unless you want to dance with Jake from the Tweenies.

Playa De Muro has lots of bars and restaurants, one of our favourites was the Robin Hood ran by Gordan and Jules. This can be found down a side street off the main promenade. We had a great time in their bar and the food was superb. Drinks were also quite cheap compared to some of the larger restaurants. They have sky TV so we could keep up with the footie and soaps but also played music in the evening. The Robin Hood made our holiday as it was friendly and welcoming.
If you have kids you must go to the kiddie maze. My kids thought it was great. Further along in Alcudia we also went to the water park which was quite small and disappointing. However the go-karts on the magic roundabouts as we called it were great, they even had mini motos.
Lastly the beeches. Playa de Muro was pretty and very clean but if you are a beach lover then Alcudia is a must as it is beautiful. What more can I say. We will definately be heading back some day.

We stayed in the Port Area of Alcudia. We found the resort very clean as was the beach. Huge selection of shops, bars etc. We found an English Fish and Chip shop on the left as you go towards the port, FANTASTIC. Would recommend this resort to everyone

The resort was nice I have been to Alcudia twice now and I really like it, its really nice at the harbour and the waterpark is really good and it was just round the corner from the hotel Lagomonte. I would get your tickets at your hotel it saves you queueing.

Alcudia is fabulous, it really does have something for everyone. It is clean (you seen the street cleaners out forst thing in the morning when you are going to get your lovely fresh bread), bright and there are none of those annoying people coming up to you in restaurants while having a meal trying to sell you a fake watch etc.
The beach is all everyone says about it, huge, clean, just the business. Every time we go to book a hoiliday we trhing about going somewhere else but tend to come back to Alcudia because it is just so good.
