We had room 625 on the top floor overlooking the pool. It was perfectly adequate and not much road noise. A bit small but ok for 2 people as you don't spent much time in it apart from sleeping. Lovely modern walk in shower.

Beaches

Lots of good quality bars and cafes, plenty of shops with the usual merchandise but interesting little streets with canals and a most unexpected "lake" around one corner. The sight of four slightly overweight tourists on a four seater bike trying to pedal up and over a bridge was quite entertaining!
The beach was beautiful - great sand for the kids judging by the sandcastles and the water was clear and clean. The water is very shallow for quite a distance so good for children.
Something for everyone in the local area and for only one euro you can get a local bus to the marina area or Alcudia old town for the markets.

The resort is quiet when compared to Alcudia which is easily reached by bus-1 euro each way. A strip of souvenir type shops, small supermarkets and restaurants. Local road train at 2.50 Euros goes all around the resort.
S'Albufera National Park was our reason for choosing to stay here and is well worth a visit to see the birds/wildlife particularly at sunset.
Beach is all soft sand, cleaned and raked each evening with sunbeds and shades for 7 Euros for the 3 items. Quite a few hotels back onto the beach so there are cafes and snack bars available.
Pedaloes start at 6 Euros for a basic one for 1 hour. You can walk out a good distance before there is any depth to the sea so lots of young children were learning to swim in the sea.

Alcudia is very pretty like most of the resorts in Majorca.
Very very clean, with beautiful flat beaches that are nearly white. No shingle in sight and lovely clean water.

Alcudia was nice not the cleanest but ok, the local people all seemed friendly enough, didnt venture out much as the complex all inclusive was very good.
when outside the complex beware of the traffic the spanish do not like to stop at the crossings.

I would defiately come to Alcudia, Playa del Muro again, it was fantastic! I can not comment on the resort entertainment as we didn't venture from the hotel at night.
The beach is lovely although very busy, but there is lots of space at the beach is so long! Sunbeds are 7 euros for 2 beds and a shade. The sea seems very safe and warmer than our hotel pool. It goes to waist height and stays like that fo ages, so it is really safe for kids.

Didnt spend much time in resort as we were at an all inclusive hotel, all in all it looked superb, plenty of choices for eating, drinking, supermarkets and gift shops.
A really really nice place.
Beaches aint my thing but it looks lovely, take your own drinks though the kiosks will sting you.

In my opinion, Alcudia is a good family orientated resort with entertainment for all tastes.
If, however, your main preferences are on your food and drink, then I would suggest the Port area. There are a large, vast amount of resturants that serve fresh fish with a lovely view of the port area and some nice shops as well.
Our average bill was about 50 Euros including drinks (which usually consisted of a jug of Sangria) for 2 courses including tip of 10%, which is roughly £35 and I think that is very good value for the standard of food you are getting.
If you are happy enough with the standard Pizzas, Pastas etc...then Alcudia centre would be fine for you.
The beach is a lovely sandy beach, with lifeguards on duty at all times. There are also toilets within 50 yards of any part of the beach as part of huts that serve snacks, drinks and ice creams.
Watersports are aplenty too, and the usual mix of paragliding, pedalos, banana boats etc...are all there at various points along the 12km of sands!
Again, I will say that Alcudia is a family orientated resort that can accomodate for all tastes, it would also suit couples who just want to get away and have a relaxing holiday.
For those seeking a lively holiday, then the south of the Island would be more suited with the likes of Palma Nova and Magaluf the place for you!!
