We had room 625 on the top floor overlooking the pool. It was perfectly adequate and not much road noise. A bit small but ok for 2 people as you don't spent much time in it apart from sleeping. Lovely modern walk in shower.

New town is for faimies and shopping, old town is for couples with nice bistro's and sights and boutiques.

The resort is very popular, very clean and very big and spread out. We didnt venture out for entertainment. Beach super, clean, large a sweeping and plenty to do.

typical holiday resort with usual shop etc. there were plenty of bars and restraunts but most were fairly quiet. not lots of entertainment in the bars but then again on holiday should be able to make your own. the beach was one of the best i have been on.

We went to Alcudia with our two children aged 11 and 9 and we found very little in the way of entertainment for this age group, the hydropark is worth a visit for a good fun day out (about £50 per family of 4). There is also some go carts near the port of alcudia however at 20 euros ( near enough £20 now each - £80 for the family of 4 for just 15 minutes we gave it a miss). It really surprised us because Alcudia is quite a large resort and with the lovely sandy safe beach which attracts families you'd have thought there would be a little bit more in the way of entertainment for the kids - and for that reason we will not be returning.

A bit too Brits abroad for me, but that just me. I like a bit quieter. Pollensa just down the road is more my thing.

The resort is small and fairly quiet and relaxed. Not many shops or restaurants but for more lively nights the taxis are quick, easily available and clean. It cost us about 9 euros to Alcudia - about 20 minutes away. The bus always looked a bit crowded. We took a taxi into Can Picafort - about ten minutes away, and another day we took a taxi to Puerto Pollensa - which is lovely.
The restaurants in Playa da Muro are pretty good. the Bull steak house is very hit and miss - the first time we tried it the steaks were lovely - the next two times not so so good! The trattoria is good, the staff are lovely. Giardinos is good too - if a little limited with the menu.
We didn't eat at our hotel at all but some friends told us it was ok. All in all we enjoyed ourselves and didn't get bitten by mossie's although past reviews of this resort suggested that there was a problem. We would cetainly go back - it was great!

Just love Alcudia. It is fantastic for everyone but especially for families. Never a shortage of things to do, see or visit we just love it. The beach is superb, soft white sand and clear water that is shallow for miles. Plenty of activity on offer. Facilities on the beach are great with beach bars, toilets and showers. Expect to pay slightly more than in the resort for food and drink but other than that it is great. Sunbeds are not too highly priced either and you can have them until 6pm.
Would recommend Alcudia, it is a lovely resort and for families it is great because the entertainment doesn't go on into the early hours.
