We had room 625 on the top floor overlooking the pool. It was perfectly adequate and not much road noise. A bit small but ok for 2 people as you don't spent much time in it apart from sleeping. Lovely modern walk in shower.

Beaches

I was a bit dissapointed with the resort, I seemed to remember more shops than this time round, they all seemed to be Spar supermarkets, most of them connected to hotels. I am sure there was a larger variety to choose from last time we were there. We only visited the beach once and it was very windy so we didn't stay long. We did go to the port one of the days and the beach there was excellent, but it was hard to find a public toilet, dispite notices up all over the place, we had to go quite some way to find one without actually going into a bar, all the others were private. The buses were crowded and we had to take a taxi.

Great area, the german bar across from the flats was great. The market attached to the hotel was great/cheap and the best of food in stock/beer etc...............watch the buggies and greetin wanes................tragically bad for the resort 11pm in bars enjoying a drink and a chat with paople you have met and then it starts, one crys they all cry...it is so bad..............I wish they did what I had to do with mine...Morecambe /Blackpool/......Great Place apart from the wanes...

We found the resort to be a little quiet. Found a bar that we liked called Posh Paddys which had a great DJ called Dane. Found the local buses on market day almost impossible to get on. Would suggest a taxi which cost 10 euros. (share with others in the taxi que).

The beaches were clean and the beds reasonable at 6.50 euro's for 2 with shade. However there were some nasty niffs coming from sea now and again. Huge coastline can't do it all in a week - 10 days about right.

Alcudia was certainly very clean, the bin lorries and road sweepers were out with a vengeance, usually at the most ungodly hours.
Entertainment in many of the bars consisted of satellite tv (ok for footy fans and Coronation Street junkies). A few of the restaurants laid on some more superior entertainment but you paid for this with much higher bar prices.
The beach was lovely, with a refreshing breeze the closer you got to the shoreline, however we were annoyed at being charged 30 cents every time you needed to use the loo. The sunbed hire was also expensive - nearly 7 euros for 2 beds per day.
Nothing very Spanish left about Alcudia - it appears to have been taken over by the English.

I travelled round the entire island during my 3 week stay and found Alcudia to be a very nice place indeed... especially compared to Magaluff were all I found was very drunk kids falling around the streets. It is a tourist resort with all your normal tacky souvenir stores though also a large number of good restaurants and retail outlets.
It is suitable for all types of travellers, from the singletons to the families. Many of the bars are family pubs welcoming kids and offering plenty of seating though after midnight they tend to lose the family entertainers and turn to a more upbeat dance clubs for the clubbers on the island.
The locals are very friendly and all speak good English... though this is no excuse to practice a little courteous Spanish before heading out!
Plenty of activities are available on and off the beach and the drivers are very polite and always stop for you when crossing.... at the designated crossing areas!
Overall I was pleasantly surprised by Alcudia and will be returning in the near future.

Alcudia is a nice, clean resort but very commercialised. The beach is exceptional, though quite steep on prices for hiring sunbeds.
The entertainment is very bland and the same throughout most venue's.

The best pub we found for friendliness in the Port area was the Irish tavern well worth a visit. Restaurants down there aren't really that good except for Gran China Chinese restraunt with seafront terrace was lovely.
In the Bellvue area the best restaurant was Roma Pizzeria next to Pizza Hut, BK and Haagen Daaz.
For kids the best family pub was the Peach Pit, Cheers is also worth a visit but you must get there early to get a seat inside. kids characters like Bob the Builder, Baby Pom, Noddy, Tinkywinky and Spiderman

Alcudia is just lovely! There is something for everybody, the beach was beautiful and very clean, although you had to pay 30 cents to use the toilets!!
There were plenty of shops and restaurants to entertain everyone, our favourites were Lunas grill, and Yummy Yummys.
Found the whole of Alcudia to be clean, and saw lots of people cleaning in and around the Bellevue apartments.
All in all a fantastic location for a holiday, and one I will certainly be returning to!

Alcudia itself is beautiful and entertaining, a perfect resort for couples and families. Port D'Alcudia and Puerto Alcudia are the best places to visit on a night - lively and filled with shops, restaurants and bars. The Alcudia Mini Golf was fantastic in stunning surroundings and good value at 6 Euro per adult. The beaches here are also very clean and with plenty of loungers, the beach we had next to the Hotel was very rocky and filled with seaweed so we preferred the Port's beach which was a considerable walk away. Old Alcudia is a must to visit also with the shops and markets and interesting scenery.
Overall I would definately recommend a holiday to Alcudia but if you're the type of person who would rather be out and about and visit different places / restaurants the Panoramic is probably not for you despite it being a lovely hotel in itself.
