lovely resort,, we were staying in the area between Cala Bona and Cala Millor,, not too nosiey at night,, most places seem to quieten down at midnight,,plenty of cheap bars during the day,,, 1 euro for a large beer,, you cant beat it ?? Although the prices do go up in the evening,Lots of street entertainment,,Panpipes,, fire eating etc,, and lots of bars down by the harbour had their own outdoor entertainment,,nice to walk around and just watch ,, there are acouple of streets crammed full of shops,,, down by the tourist info place,, you cant miss it.. Not ,many street trader,, a polite no thanks will do,, they re not pushy.
To be honest we loved the hotel Bonamar and the area,, its not often you get an excellant hotel in the right area but this one is a winner,,and no kids at the hotel,,hoiday heaven !!!!

Cala Bona is an extremely clean resort. The streets are cleaned every morning, including Saturday and Sunday, by street cleaners with their rattling little wheelie bins, sweeping up leaves etc. Although, very little rubbish is on the streets as visitors tend to use the bins, which I was very surprised about as people do tend to drop litter when on holiday. There is not much sandy beach at Cala Bona, but the small bits there are are spotless. Would certainly return to this resort.

Cala Bona is a small quiet resort which has a lovely couple of beaches and plenty of restaurants and bars. The port area has a good selection of choice for eating out but can be a little expensive as it is a bit more select than further up the road towards Cala Millor. You can take boat trips from here to various places of interest and beauty.Great for sitting in the evening sun just people watching.!!Cala Millor might be more fun for families as far more to do, but as it was just my husband and I, Cala Bona was perfect.!!

nice holiday but there was only the two of us without kids to worry about.
calla bona is small but it goes on into calla mallor if you want a walk or get the bus to calla millor and walk back.165euros.
not too many places to just sit and have a beer after you have eaten. we were turned away unless we wanted food.
resteraunts are plenty ranging from 2 meals for 10 euros to 15 euros for one. they did go higher but i stopped looking at 15. 15 euros was a good sized tbone. better value than over here and nicer steak too.
resort hoppa to reort took about 1 hour 20 mins in a right old rickety thing. return was 1 hour 45 mins but in a decent coach.
nice, quiet resort. don't think it's the place for young and lively.

Lovely resort, pretty quiet and everything shuts down at midnight.Harbour is beautiful. Lovely walk if you can stand the heat in August.Beach in Cala Bona stony/rocky but good snorkling.plenty of gift shops, food shops/mini markets.Lots of bars and restaurants. No night clubs.
Bike/quad bike area all along the promenade from cala Bona thru Cala Millor-so watch out for the red painted path where they whizz past you.
Cala Millor, next resort 15 min walk away was busier and had better beaches.
Hired a car for a week-recommend visiting Sa coma, S'Illot, Alcudia, Porto cristo, Pollenca and saturday market in Soller. You have to shop around for cheap beer/lager/snacks in the resort.
Very hot-40+ degrees but you cant complain when all we get is rain in Manchester1

Cala Bona is a very clean relaxing resort. Mainly suitable for families with small children and couples of middle age. Lovely atmosphere around harbour area and quite cosmopolitan feel.

A lovely resort with a great promenade and lots of small bars and cafes but no neon signs or nightclubs within a 15 minute of Calla Millor with larger bars if thats your scene. The beach is not great at Cala Bona but all usual beach facilites are available up the road at Cala millor buses run regularly or keep fit and hire one of the "family" bikes!

The resort was kept very clean. Staying at the bonaire was great as we were only a 5min walk to main harbour which was lovely. Plenty of places to eat. Suggest Smithys which kids loved and also L Olivia which was the adults favourite. Everywhere had kids menu's but could get half portions of anything on the main menu.
The beach was quite shingly and the sea bed was rocky but the water was lovely. We took boat trip from harbour and stopped at Cala Millor which is ten to fifteen min walk away, beach sandy and clear blue water. Also Sa Coma gorgeous beach. The boat also stopped at Porto Cristo and we stopped here for two hours and beach was fantastic.

cala bona beach is lovely to look at but uncomfortable to walk on as has very gritty sand and very stoney. i still managed a dip but only on waters edge as i am not great swimmer. we sat on big stones and eat our sanwhiches at lunchtime and enjoyed the breeze and view. the resort has shops for essentials, bars and restraunts. it is smaller than cala millor. a nice harbour with entertainment. a great wee sandwhich shop in the spar next to levante park. freshly made to order and nice staff and good value prices.we would visit again.
