cala bona itself is very small, this was our second visit to the resort. it is a good holiday destination for couples as it is not too busy and there are larger towns within close proximity that have more of a variety of entertainment. the beach was fairly clean and accessible, the lounger on the beach were not too pricy. there are fruit sellers that walk the beach that can be quite persisstent. we had been advised by mean of the guests not to buy the fruit from them however this did not stop them trying.
there are many resturaunts most of which serve english food. there is little entertainment on the resort itself, there are lots of little shops,an arcade and places to rent electric scooters and things like that but other than that there is not a lot else. very good for a realaxing and chilled out holiday but not so good for families with teenagers. would definately return to cala bona again.

The hotel was only a few minutes from the harbour with all the restaurants & shops. Not forgetting the ladies doing the hair braiding.

We didnt make it to a beach, we preferred to stay by the pool.

We only did a couple of trips - one to the Western Waterpark in Magaluf which was really good, my daughter had a whale of a time. As well as all the pools, chutes and waterfalls there are shows going on. We only remembered to watch one though, with the sealions.

Then there was the Pirates show. It was the best thing I've seen in years. Absolutely amazing. It was a great atmosphere and the performers were outstanding. I'd definitely go back to see it again.

The resort of cala bona was excellent. Spotless and we never heard a single swear word in the whole week we were there!!! No gangs of lads or girls on hen/stag parties.

Entertainment in the resort was low key. There is a childrens entertainer about 9pm everynight up by the harbour who seems very funny and always attracts a crowd.

Restaurants at the harbour are the best we have ever eaten in.

Beach only small but Cala Millor is only a short walk and is well worth a visit to that beach. We found the resort of Cala Bona a lot more suited to the more "mature" person and the reason being for that we think is because it is so flat and pedestrianised it is much easier for the disabled.

We would visit Cala Bona again but not for a few years as we have a lot more places to visit first.

The resort of Cala Bona itself is small and relatively quiet. The harbour area is beautiful with some lovely restaurants, Smithy's, L'Oliva and Chiri's.
There area few shops but nothing much, who goes on holiday to trail round shops hey!
The sweet shop just to the side of Smithy's does gorgeous sandwiches using lovely English bread Mmmmm.

Lots of shops and bars close to the hotel. Nice friendly atmosphere. Pretty harbour. Cala Millor is a flat 20 minute stroll away. Not much of a beach

The resort of Cala Bona from the harbour is mainly based along the promenade which goes for several miles taking in Cala Millor. The resort is very very claen the main beaches which are fantastic are in Cala Millor the smaller beaches in Cala Bona are clean and safe. The entertainment centres round the hotels but there are the odd discos if you are prepared to look and plenty going on in the bars.
I have been to this resort four times and I am going again this year as there is always a lot going on and I love the place.

As we were in this resort early may there was very little street entertainment. However, we have been there in September and there was lots going on.Its a lovely resort for people watching!!Just sit with a beer and watch the world go by.Plenty of restaurants for good meals. Pickup point for the boats to porto cristo etc. Now that its pedestrianised its safer for children. Lacks a beach but cala millor with beach is in walking distance.

As we came to Cala Bona early in the season the beaches had not been cleared of seaweed so the nearest beach was Cala Millor.
Cala Bona is a quiet resort and was only just opening as we got there. I wouldnt recommend this resort to young people looking for good nightlife!

We did find some amazing restaurants though! Definatly go to El Senior Gato which is past the Harbour heading away from cala millor, towards the Bonaire hotel, the prawns were perfect! Also go to Tomeu in Cala Millor for the best tenderloin ever! Oh and the Sundeck for homemade lemon meringue pie that my boyfriend wouldnt stop going in about!

If you want to see some other resorts use the local bus that runs from Cala Bona to Porto Cristo.

Porto Cristo is absolutly stunning with a gorgeous little beach and great trinket shops. Theres also a small market on sundays. If you only venture out once PLEASE go here!! Its really worth it!

The walkway as you enter Cala Bona from Cala Millor (runs along where Hotel Cap De Mar is) is looking VERY VERY tired and before too long they are going to have to do something about the paving which is showing signs of considerable wear with rusted metal visible.

Harbour area is lovely, some building work going on next to Smugglers Bar and behind the scenes but nothing major.
