Cala Bona is a nice resort, not a load going on in terms of late night entertainment.
There is no real beach to talk of but nice marina and town square where they sometimes do a bot of entertainmenty eg clown, painting etc.
Smithys bar is a good place offering wide range of standard british food. On the upper scale the fish restaurant a few doors down from smithys was very good if you want to spend a few more euros and is more for couples not really kids.
Resort very clean, shops cater for most of youir needs. If you want more in terms of beach, bars and shops then cala millor is a 20 minute walk down the seafront or a few minutes in a taxi or the noddy train.

The resort does not have any beaches nearby it is mostly coves and rocky shores so do not expect to use a beach if you have children.
We found a very good restaurant round the corner from the hotel - the El Senor Gato. The food here is excellent and not at all pricey.
There is a trip called the Secrets of Majorca, this is a very informative trip around the island and well worth going on.

We stayed in the Bonaire hotel,Cala Bona.I would say the place is very nice and relaxing.I would say that when we travelled in Nov 2007,it was very quiet and if we were self catering it would have been quite difficult getting groceries at certain times of the day as only a couple of supermarkets opened and they could be quite eratic.
There is a lovely small harbour were maybe 4 or five bars open all the year round. One in particular the NAUTIC was absolutely great for snacks and drinks.Cala Millor is only five minutes away by taxi and is far busier with more choice of bars ,perfume shops, cigarette shops etc.

Cala Bona was very tired and dirty due to the end of season possibly?
There was a Queen tribute band on Monday in Cala Bona square which was execllent.
The beaches in Cala Bona are nor particualrly nice due to the washed up seagrass - bit the beaches at Cala Millor were lovely.

Quieter resort than Cala Millor. Not really a family resort which suited us. Lovely walk into Cala Millor for the night life and the superb beaches.

calla bonna on the whole is quiet, the beach is rocky as you enter the water, calla millor just 10 minutes walk away is a little better, but the whole resort has a big problem with seaweed, its everywhere along this part of the coast.if anyone is staying for 2 weeks i would advise car hire,as once you have walked along the promenade a few times it does get a bit boring.the local transport is very cheap,as we went to a local market, and it cost us 1.55euro each.calla millor on the whole is a lot busier, but once you have walked around it is a bit boring.

Beach at Cala Bona end quite small and could be cleaner.
Resort was clean. Good choice of bars and restuarants to choose from at reasonable prices.
Would definitely go again.

we stayed in calla bona, quiet during the day,but gets noisier by night.Calla millor is just 10 mins walk away ,and that is pretty much the same. The beaches are ok in calla millor, but beware of the seaweed!!The beach in calla bonna is very rocky ,and again full of seaweed, other than that the resort is ok.

Cala Bona is an excellent resort as it is entirely flat with lots of seating and shady trees along the promenade. There are lots of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets and a wide variety of entertainment. The resort was spotlessly clean and it was a pleasure to walk around. The harbour area is particularly nice and it is enjoyable to sit there and watch all the comings and goings.

You must visit the cocktail bar on the way to Cala Millor. Not only for the drinks but to watch the owners work their customers. Very professional and welcoming! And the cocktails were great!
