I’ve just returned from this hotel and after reading many reviews I was surprised to find it wasn’t that bad!

However on arrival we were greeted with the sight of an abandoned car just outside the hotel which looked burnt out with all windows smashed, not a pleasant first impression. The coach dropped us at the top of the hill which I wasn’t expecting, there is numerous steps leading to the reception area, and once in the hotel we managed to check in fine but were told we would be changing rooms in the morning with out explanation... We were on the top floor and on entering the room I was very disappointed to find we had a single room. Very small and impossible for 2 people to stop in for a week. The bathroom was so small, when you sat on the toilet your feet were in the shower tray! The toilet wasn’t fixed to the wall and didn’t smell too fresh either.

The next day we returned to reception to move rooms, but were told that the room wasn’t ready and we were to return in 2 hours. We returned 3 times to be told it wasn’t ready! But after talking to the rep our room was ready for 7pm. A huge difference in our new room was much bigger, very clean and we were left a bottle of wine. From then on I didn’t have any major problems.

Hotel cleanliness

we found the hotel to be very clean throughout, and maintained throughout the day and evening. The room was cleaned every day and clean towels also supplied everyday. No complaints!!

Hotel food

This was ok, although veal was served everyday! every meal! I don’t think ill ever eat it again. Veal steak, veal stew, veal curry, veal burgers, veal veal veal...
The variety however did improve later in the week.

Hotel Location

Good location, 2 minute walk to the beach, nightlife and resort. However the hill is steep but gets easier after one drink to many.

Hotel staff

Didn’t have any problems with the staff, bar staff in particular were friendly and helpful, the reception staff can be a bit grumpy at times but nothing to be concerned with.

Entertainment

This was very poor! The entertainment doesn’t start until 8:30pm. The night starts with kid’s entertainment and this consists of 3 songs which 2 reps dance with the kids. kid’s entertainment ends at 8:45pm. bingo starts at 9:30 and ends at 10pm, adult entertainment starts at 10:30 and ends at 11pm. during the intervals everyone is left to wait around listening to low volume 80's & 90's music, same songs over and over again. The bar closes at midnight.

Well yes the Hotel is on a hill with lots of steps!!! The amount of families with babies in buggies and older people with walking difficulties, moaning was annoying! The brochures do say!!!!

The steps really are not a problem- my teenagers never moaned once!

The hotel is clean- always staff around cleaning something. Problem at the pool with people leaving cigarette ends lying around and children spilling drinks everywhere.

Staff were always friendly to us. Maybe the adults and children that order drinks without a please and thank-you should look at themselves first!

As for the food- it was very good. If you and your children live off processed food you wont like it. Real meat, real vegetables and real fruit- no
complaints!

Yes the hotel is a bit tired and could do with a re-vamp. Some of the doors have seen better days and the lifts are a bit temperamental but all in all a great hotel!

We booked this holiday as a last minute break before xmas. After booking it and then reading the previous reviews, I was half expecting to walk into Fawlty Towers!

However, like some previous holidaymakers, we were pleasantly surprised to find no problems at all.
So, there is a bit of a hill and a few steps to climb -it made for a really great view from our room on the 6th floor!!

The hotel was very clean and the maid did a good job.

The food became a little bland after a few days, but, hey, it made a change to have dinner out occasionally. After all, we weren't spending much being all inclusive.

The location was great, and like a few other comments, we weren't bothered with the "sling shot" next to the hotel.

The staff were great, especially behind the bar - very friendly.

The entertainment was great for the kids, but not over exciting for the adults unless you were lucky enough to win the bingo!

And yes, we probably would visit this hotel again.

We were all a bit worried about staying at this hotel after reading some of the recent reviews, but were pleasantly surprised with it.

Yes the hotel is on a hill, but its not as bad as some people say! It is situated between Palma Nova and Magaluf and it is great to be able to stroll along either beach and browse in the shops.

Our room was a bit small for 4 people but then we only slept there, so it wasn't too bad really. There wasn't enough storage space, so we all had to live out of our suitcases, which made the room quite messy but the maid cleaned the room well and there were fresh towels daily. We had a great view of Palma Nova beach and the sling shot!

The rest of the hotel was kept clean, but the pool area could have done with a good sweep and hose down. I think that in the middle of summer, the pool area would have been too crowded, as there was not much space there, but we got sunbeds everyday with no trouble.

There were the usual people who lay their towels on the sunbed first thing in the morning and then do not appear until after lunch, which is infuriating and unfair. The pool bar has a good choice of drinks available.

There is plenty of choice for food and we always found something tasty to eat There was a cooked breakfast, and cereals and rolls etc everyday, and the snacks were chips, burgers, salad etc.

The drinks are plentiful too but you could only get 2 at a time, which is a pain when there are 6 of you! We never had to queue in the restaurant or at the bar though.
We found all the hotel staff very friendly and helpful.

The entertainment was OK, with the usual kiddie disco and bingo, and whilst we were there, there were two mime artists, who were quite funny and an Elvis impersonator, who was good too.

Yes I would go to this hotel again in the future, as I liked the area it is in, and we had a good stay here.

Hated this hotel,hated the staff,hated the food,hated all the noise nonstop,hated getting up at 6.30am to get a bed beside the kiddie pool....give this hotel a miss!

Well what can we say!! Turned up at 11.30pm only to be told that our coach could not make it up the hill to outside the hotel and we would have to get out and walk up the hill which we did only to be met with two flights of stairs!!!
Checked in ok told our room was 408, we got in the lift opened the door to the room and could not believe our eyes!! This was clearly a single room, my partner could actually touch both sides of the bedroom walls.
I went downstairs and complained about the size of the room and was told that i would have to come back tomorrow and speak to the manager.
The next day went downstairs to be told the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing they could do.
I advised that i would stand here in reception until we were moved as there was no was two people could spend their holiday in a room that size! Amazingly they found us another room but we were told we could not move until the next day!
Next day we moved to room 605 and it was great!

The food was excellent, we could not fault it at all, there was always lots of choice but i'm not too sure that kids would enjoy.

This hotel is clearly situated in Magalluf not Palma Nova, it is right next to the bungee ball and from our balcony we could see BCM, we did not find the noise to be an issue but there again we are both heavy sleepers.

I would not recommend this hotel to couples or singles as the entertainment is all geared around children.

Also if you are a smoker be warned you have to sit outside all night and you have no music to listen to just the constant noise of the people on the bungee to listen to.

I must say this holiday has put us off ever going all inclusive again.

Just arrived back from Honolulu hotel and was actually impressed with the standard considering what we had read beforehand.

I found the room to be more than adequate and spotlessly clean. We received clean towels daily and clean bed linen every second day. Our room was on one of the corners and the balcony was the length and breadth of it. We had views of Magaluf beach, Palma nova and Torrenova. We also had fantastic views of the sling shot which we could only vaguely hear when the balcony doors were closed. The most disturbance we heard was from young children running up and down the corridors at 7 in the morning.

As for the staff, I'm a great believer in treating people the way I would like to be treated. I found them to be friendly enough and witnessed plenty of smiles from them. However I also witnessed customers speaking to then as if they were dirt.

The food in the restaurant was very strange. On 2 or 3 occasions you would not have fed the food to your dog but the majority of the time the food was fantastic with plenty of choice for everyone. The tables in the restaurant were constantly cleared and kept clean.

While there we had some thunderstorms and the entertainment team were excellent in keeping adults and children amused during the day. The night time entertainment was well above average and the professional shows were mainly excellent. However if you are a regular visitor to Majorca the parrot show is the same one they have at Marineland-boring. The kids of all ages including my 11 yr old thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment.

Overall I would recommend this hotel however I feel it depends on the other client

Just back...horrible...greeted with 30 stairs to climb no ramp for cases or buggies.

Checked in room, room size 4 by 3m, 4 beds nowhere to put cases 1 wardrobe, 1 electrical adaptor.

This hotel is nowhere near a 3 star, stayed 703 never again. This hotel is so noisy make sure you take your earplugs. The Slingshot is 50 m away and it goes onto 4 am all night, complained about another room got 727 that was worse. Sam's fun bar was onto 6am shouting and fighting then all the young one's would come back into the hotel playing football in the corridors but that was a bonus cause that was the time you had to get up for the sunbeds.

Between 6-7am anyhow only 6 parasols at the poolside never enough beds.

The food was ok the first week second same very repetitive, bland and cheap ended eating and drinking out the last week. Do not go to this hotel,Hawaii, Palma Nova, Lucia and Matasis are very nice as have been to them before this is the worst ever.

The evening entertainment was by Spanish entertainers so bad, the best bit was the bingo then we sat outside in the terrace and made your own and the drinks are all watered down, sorry for moaning only telling the truth, give this a miss

Sounds lovely the Honolulu, it was not.

Found the staff very arrogant at the reception told them the air condition was not working told me to hire a fan at 44 euros asked for a safe deposit for 2 weeks nearly fainted wanted 58 euros. If you want a paper like the Sun costing 2 euros they want 3 euros it should be called the hotel ripoff.

When settled in at 422 outside the lift entrance all we heard was the banging off the lift and people coming out and in, asked to move said too busy come back next Saturday. Went down the following Saturday with Gary the (no use )rep still said to busy. Reported to direct holidays in letter hope to get compensation.

Very busy this hotel found it overbooked dining area was sometimes too full had to wait ended up with stomach pains put it down to the food.

The pool area was nice but had to go down 30 steps and cross a road then try to find a bed needle in a haystack.

At night when getting drinks had to drink out of plastic small cups wine, beer and cocktails 2 per adult and 1 child drink you need 3 cups to make 1 pint.

The entertainment was pretty bad where was mini disco all in Spanish, bingo the the finally 3 shows per week then 4 quizzes per week very bad there was a small arcade for the kids only had 3 machines in it and 1 pool table.

The good thing about this hotel was the location fantastic pubs only 50m away drank in the prince William most nights.

Well would I go back,not if it was free

Hotel looks great on the brochure, it is not, room tiny.

Food disgusting, barmen cheeky asking your wife for sex when they ask for certain kinds of cocktails, kids club crap want 6 euros for painting t-shirts.

Rep not interested in problems only want to sell you excursions.

Kids all had burning eyes in pool to much chlorine put in, management wasn't interested.

Food ok had nice snacks during the day hot dogs and hamburgers.

Wife had necklace stolen from room left on table reception not interested told us must have safe only 1 to use room was maid, very bad set-up hotel the only good thing was the great weather and the beach.
