Location
It was very clean and food was of a very good standard with quite a lot of choices.
There were a lot of young people in groups though and mixing families with them was not ideal as the noise in the corridors in the middle of the night for our first 5 nights was terrible.
Staff were not very pleasant but they weren't getting many tips
Entertainment wasn't great either but a few good shows but that happens everywhere
All in all we thought it was good enough value for money

The location of the hotel was not as bad as I was expecting after reading reviews, but I wouldn't recommend it for the elderly. A fairly steep hill and a fair few steps up to the hotel.
The food was more or less the same for the full fortnight. It was okay for a few days then got very boring.
Rooms were very basic, safe in room costs 48 euros for the fortnight plus a 10 euro deposit which you get back when you hand your key back.
All staff were miserable, especially the bar staff. They only gave you more than two drinks at a time when it suited them. Cocktails were pre-mixed out of a machine.
Lovely beaches were only a 5/10 minute walk away. You had to be quick in the morning if you wanted a sunbed around the pool.
All in all, I would never return to this hotel. Maybe we have been spoilt from previous AI holidays in Cyprus.

The location is great apart from the hill but you know this before you go, 2 mins from beach and night life.
Rooms were spotless cleaned every day maybe a we bit small for 4 but we didn't go on holiday to spend all are time in the room. Can get a bit noisy at night with young male and females running about drunk ear plugs highly recommended.
The food was mostly very good although they need to get some proper toasters takes 10 mins for 4 rounds of bread to toast evening snacks were not up to much just some sandwiches rapped in cling film behind bar.
Now the staff we could not fault them never had a problem with them.
The pool area was very slippery to many broken sunbeds plus people putting towels down and not using them until the afternoon very annoying. The brits have nothing on the Germans in the department.
Entertainment just the usual, water polo, archery, french bowls, all good fun if you want to partake. Evening was ok mini disco for kids about 3 songs then bingo, quite good, prizes full house paid 150 euros some nights then a show or a quiz or karaoke probably better going down town.
Would I go again? No, is the answer too many stag and hen parties now. Last year when we were there if there was trouble management would tell those causing it to leave no if's or but's this year the hotel has been taken over and they seem to turn a blind eye to all the rowdiness. Quite a few families said the same it's a shame because it's a nice hotel in a great spot just spoiled by some of its guests.

The food is as always still very good though.

However, nevertheless the Honolulu is very good the drinks are excellent. Try the cocktails (Sex on the Beach) fantastic and most of all free. The rooms yes were basic but spotless. Cleaned everyday and fresh soft towels spot on.
Views excellent. Now then, the food which to me makes my holiday was perfect except for the toaster took ages. If you do use it, use it first then get your breakfast. The breakfast which is my main meal was spot on eggs/bacon/sausage/beans/fried bread/toms you name it. It was there and all English except the bacon but was very nice. Dinner/tea wide choice meats fish pasta carvery everything but don

The hotel staff were rubbish and weren't keen to help you at all. They didn't like kids which is a bit silly for a family hotel.
The rooms were basic not even a fridge in to keep water in so once you've had your drinks downstairs thats it till breakfast, so buy some and put it in cold water in the bath.

That was until we arrived.
We arrived just after 2pm, as our coach struggled to make it up the extremely steep incline up to the hotel, we could just about see the small pool, due to the incline down to it from the road. We pulled up outside the hotel to be met with two flights of stairs(there was a stair lift but that was broken!)
The hotel reception was clean and looked quite nice with marble floors and columns etc; shame about the receptionist, she had such a sour face it had completely taken the shine from the floor!!
After we were given our keys to our room we had to wait ten minutes for the lift, there was only two lifts and they only held about 6 people comfortably (2 with luggage)so it was taking a while to get up to our seventh floor room. In the end we ended up sending my husband and 4 year old daughter up with the bags and i took the treck up the stairs with our 19 month old son.
I was shattered by the time we had reached the room, so when we walked in to see how small the room was (about 12' x 12' with small bathroom) and that there was only 2 single beds pushed together, no beds for our children, i was furious!
I went down to complain to the sour faced receptionist who told me they would send up the missing beds straight away, the room apparently was the largest size they had.
So we left our cases, got our cossies and headed for the paddling pool.
At the end of the pool was a gang of around 20 men, singing and shouting (obviously a stag group) but we did find a couple of sunbeds and settled down, trying our best to ignore the yobs!
The childs section of the pool was ok, about half a foot deep, rectangular and shaded within the trees. We had a few drinks from the free bar and all didn't seem too bad.
We returned to our room just before tea to change (no swim clothes in restaurant) to see the chamber maids making up the new beds; which was great, but did now only leave us with a 3' x 12' walk way to the balconey.
wentto tea, which was great, good choice of food and plenty of it. You could help yourself to wine on tap, soft drinks and cooled water. we could finally relax!
The next few days were ok, apart from having to live out of a suit case, due to lack of storage.
We did venture out one night, down to a restaurant in palma nova, as the hotel menu seemed to have looped back to the previous weeks. Coming back that evening was tiring, i neerly slipped trying to climb the steep hill, my husband struggling to push the push chair upthe hill, and my daughter was worn out!
This was the norm. though, so we grinned and baired it!
Evening entertainment was good, they tried to hire the best of a good selection of entertainment; it was a shame it was spoiled by the various stag and hen groups, shouting and gheering throughout their performances!
We met a couple of nice people, same situation, not entirely delighted by the place but the beer, wine and cocktails on tap and good food made it bearable.
Although someone did fall and break there leg on the hill, our daughter fell countless times on the hill and steps throughout the hotel aswell.
Over all this hotel is good IF you are a couple (bar the entertainment probs too lame), are fit and don't have a baby in a trolly, like to be near the nightlife, the beach is near by (you have two beautifully clean beaches to choose from), if you like your food and drink and aren't too choosey who you spend all day, every day listening too!
I wouldn't recomend to couple with small children, due to the steep steps through out, plus free ice cream only available in the restaurant so you have to get changed from the pool to get one then change back again. Also not for the dissabled (again due to access).

The hotel reception, bar area and dining areas were absolutely spotless and witnessed one morning a huge army of cleaning ladies (at least 12) cleaning the bar/lounge area.
The rooms were basic and sufficient for a week but if you get at the front of the hotel the view is amazing and you forget the room inside!
I found the food to be of good standard with quite a selection at all meal times. If there was nothing suitable the salads were super (if you are into salads that is!) I did hear a few comments from other people regarding the food that they weren't happy as it wasn't 'English' but hey we weren't in Blackpool! I think if you do want English food then there are plenty of bars nearby the hotel offering a 'good English breakfast'.
The hotel was in a good location and could walk to the two resort areas no problem and access to 2 beaches within easy walking distance. Yes there is the hill and I would not recommend this for elderly or those with kids in pushchairs as watched a few families struggle but if booked through a tour operator it does state this in the brochures.
The only downside to the hotel is that it does attract 'stag and hen' parties at the weekend and they do make some noise at 5 o'clock in the morning on their return.
All in all a good hotel in a good location and can only recommend by saying I would book again.

The food was good, as a picky vegetarian I always found something yummy to feast on!!!
As we were only there at the start of the season there were no queues however I could imagine there being a few impatient customers during the summer.
The staff were fab, Marco the barman who always had a big smile on his face, and Jesus the cute waiter....ding dong!!!
All in all a good hotel, clean tidy and very spacious.

We would recommend the Honolulu to anybody but the elderly and infirmed, as there is a short, steep hill to climb to the hotel, then twenty something steps to get inside.
The hotel is situated within five minutes walk of both Palmanova and Magaluf, so loads of shops, restaurants, pubs and nightlife to choose from.
We found the Honolulu to be basic (but if you want luxury book a five star, not a three), kept very clean, rooms were on the small side (especially the singles), but they were adequate for sleeping, bathing and relaxing in.
We found the food to be extremely good and varied, something different every day, snacks were good also. Drinks were plentiful and free flowing from 8am to Midnight, with a good choice of local spirits and cocktails, and the beer was San Miguel mmmmmm!.
As we were a group of thirty-somethings, we didn't really make any use of the entertainment, as we were either sleeping off the previous nights excess' or back in the Prince William, but, there did seem to be quite a bit on offer including Archery and Rifle shooting.
Also found that noise was not a problem, maybe because of the time of year. Also found staff to be very friendly and helpful.
Only one gripe is that the pool is across the road and that the water would make an Eskimo feel cold.
Will be booking up to go again next year, can't wait.
