As there were only 2 of us travelling I thought that a studio would be big enough for us, which it was after we collapsed the pull out sofa bed and made some room. I must say I didn't expect for the prices charged that we would have to sleep on the most uncomfortable sofa beds for 2 weeks and woke each morning aching.

Although we were self catering we chose to eat at the hotel dining room for ease quite a few times but found it rather expensive for the food served but a 10 minute walk down the road and we got great english food at The New Inn and also The Grapes. Both were great value for money and friendly staff were a bonus.

If you want to watch the entertainment in the Big Top be prepared to pay high prices for your drinks, we found that alot of the guests were not willing to be ripped off so went out on a night and therefore missed some great entertainment with the Airtours team and the acts brought in by the hotel.

I will be returning again but will book an appartment next time, even with a surcharge for under occupancy! at least we will get a proper bed.

There were always plenty of cleaners about the complex but as there were no ashtrays around the pool areas there were several cigarette ends about the place, surely a few small tables with plastic ashtrays would keep the place tidier.

Stayed in hotel on "room only" basis. Ended up in a studio apartment on the second floor of the complex. There were no lifts in the building and altough this was no problem for us, there was a young couple with a baby who had to climb the stairs with a pram!!

The studio was very small but cleaned almost every day. It was basic but suited us down to the ground as we spent very little time in the room. The bathroom was basic but spotless.

Due to our being in a studio, we had to sleep on two uncomfortable sofas with a pull out bed for our small son. We knew we had booked a studio apartment so we have no complaints however, if staying longer than a week, I would suggest booking a larger room.

The entertainment in the hotel was fantastic for kids - not so great for adults. Drinks were very expensive in the big top. Incidentally, I would also recommend that if you are booking the Bouganvilla that you ask for accommodation away from the Big Top as this was very noisy.

The pool at the Bouganvilla was fantastic with loads of sunbeds around the pool. It was cleaned every night and great for kids.

I found the 'Bougi' a lovely place to stay. Friendly atmostphere, nice and clean with good facilities. My husband, 2 kids and myself went H/B. My children are fussy eaters but the selection/variation of food was brilliant. The only complaint I have was that they need to know how to make a proper yorkshire pudd!

Entertainment team were very good, kids loved doing the 'cartoon heroes'and if I was to be honest so did I. Adult entertainment in the Big Top also good but found the prices of the drinks and crisps very expensive.

Airtours reps at the Hotel were 1st class. They all worked so hard all day everyday.

Receptionists couldn't have been more helpful.

The swimming pools were great but very, very cold.

Have just arrived back today from a great holiday. The "Bougy" aparthotel is very attractive and has a good layout. The maid service is second to none with the nice idea of leaving cards on the beds to keep you informed when they'll be around next, all that was missing was the mint. All areas are kept really clean and we enjoyed out food at La Tosca and the takeaway. REALLY nice chips and good portions. We like straight forward British food and these suited us down to the ground. Although the hotel is set amongst private houses, we enjoyed seeing another side to Spain that you don't normally get to see. Train is really handy during the day but can be tiring at night walking the distance to and from Sa Coma. Staff are friendly, helpful and english speaking. We really did have a good laugh at the Big Top with Helen's entertainment team. Just want to mention Daniel here. What a great guy. Yes we played Bingo and did the quizzes, and the "Club Dance" but hey! what's a holiday about if not to have a laugh. If you want culture, peace and sophistication choose somewhere different. I have heard that in July/August it is crazy there. So would go back in May/June time. Just sorry to be missing out on the Reps "Rocky Horror Show" at the Big Top.

All I want to say is that after reading a lot of bad reviews of this complex, I wondered what I had done booking it. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The whole thing was very good. Don't know about entertainment as didn't see.
I am quite fussy, but this was good compared to some of the reviews.

After reading previous reviews I was a bit nervous at visiting Bougainvilla, however I need not have worried.

Although we self catering we upgraded to Half Board most days, the food and service in the restaurant were really good.

The hotel was about 20 minutes walk from the beach but there was a free train, it was quite popular at times so you had to be patient.

The guy that drove the train was really strict and if he thought you weren't at Bouganvilla he chucked you off.

The entertainment was brilliant, the team was a large one and put on excellent shows most nights. Customary Bingo and Kids Disco as well which added to the fun.

The drinks were a bit expensive in the Big Top.

The pools were fantastic, we spent most of our second week at the pool by the Big Top as it was quieter.

The beach was unbelieveable, like something out of a Bounty advert.

You should go on the trip to the ranch, that is really good fun.

We will definitely return again in the future.

We got back from the Bouganvilla recently and overall we thought that it was a good. The complex is huge with 5 pools, the main one being the largest on the island. We booked one of the royal apartments and they were very good, right beside the large pool, own sun loungers on the terrace, pool towels changed every day and maid service 7 days a week, even to wash your dishes..very nice!! There was a couple of mini markets, which were reasonably priced, a souvenir shop, photo shop, doctors, La Tasca grill and bar all around the pool. The Big Top, where all the entertainment takes place was at the back of the site and we could hear it slightly from our room so I can only imagine what it sounded like from the rooms around the Big Top.
The only thing I would say that was bad about the complex was that there wasn't air conditioning and it was a little too far into the resort centre for our 2 young boys to walk each evening. After a busy day in the pool the last thing they seemed to want to do was walk for 20 mins. We didn't realise that the complex was in the middle of a residential area when we booked it.
The reps were helpful and the shows were good, and the hotel staff could all speak english and were helpful too.
The cleaning staff were never idle, they were always about doing whatever needed doing and with a smile on their faces too! whoever designed the glass doors for the reception didnt think about who was going to clean them!

hi all
stayed at this resort easter '03.I'm sure that I did areport on it but can't seem to locate it.The reason why I'm posting it again is that I read a few reports on other sites about it and was so disapointed when we got there.I went with my sister and my 4year old daughter.
Well what can I say thought the airtours side of the complex was awful tacky tacky 'BUTLINS IN THE SUN' fine if that's what you like but a nightmare if you don't.
BINGO BINGO and more BINGO tacky quizzes the kids disco was the same night after night same dance routines and songs nothing like abit of variety heh.
The first 2 nights we were staying next to the big top what a nightmare felt there was no escape so beware that if you get rooms near there then be prepared for no peace although we did get moved.
The spanish side was excellent though
nice clean rooms and we stayed half board and the food was good.
Sa coma I thoght was a dump and was caller millor
I would not recommend it and would defo not go back

just returned from this hotel on the 11th of july (2 week stay).

first impression of our stay was being stung for 57 euros before we checked in,no fault of hotel i suppose.

the reception has an air con room which is fantastic for cooling down.
the view i got as i walked through reception is the biggest pool i have ever seen .
but if you want a brolly or lounger round the pool you need to be up early in the morning, the smaller pool next to the bigtop is a lot quieter and is not a salt pool like the big one.
when we were there a guy and his daughter went round the pool and lifted every towel off the loungers and lined them up in a row,it was like the great wall.

the food in la tasca is ok but i thought it had quite a limited menu ,the buffet resteraunt is supposedly nice but we never tried it ,the best place we ate for quality and value for money was JJ'S .the food was lovely and the portions were fantastic.

the entertainment was ok .some of the shows were naff but on the whole most were ok,they had a ventriliquist on when we were there (really good) cover the kids ears when he starts his jokes .

the hotel staff were quite good ,the maids are excellent i have never stayed in a place that is cleaned so much ,fresh towels 6 days a week ,the utensils for cooking in the apartment were a bit bare and the balcony was too small ,if you are going ask for a ground floor as you can use the path as an extended terrace or balcony.

the drink at the big top is really dear so take your own carry out and sit on a couple of loungers and watch the entertainment ,everyone else does and the staff didnt seem to mind.

the complex has one way in and one way out so it is ideal for kids ,there is a sand football and volleyball pitch next to the bigtop.there is also tennis courts next to reception.

it is about a 20 min walk from the beach but you can catch the free train if you don't want to walk but it stops between 1 and 2 and stops for the day at 6.

the heat club for the teenagers started on the first of july so we got peace from then on.rich the heat rep is really good and the guy works like a dog so go easy on him.

all in all the hotel is ideal for families as the kids have plenty to and the adults do as well if they want to join in , but football at 3 in the afternoon in 33 degrees is not my cup of tea.

the hotel also hire fans for 18 euros a week but you can buy the same fan in the hypermarket for about 16 euros ,the hypermarket is about 5 mins walk (caprabo).

i would also recommend a trip to delaneys as their entertainment is quite good ,good food as well ,large menu.

the airtours rep also told us that if you have euro travellers cheques they will cash them commission free.

all in all a decent resort .
ps if you can hire a car then visit the western water park in magaluf , a great day out .its about an hour and 10 mins away unless you take a wrong turn
