Location
for a three star this hotel is very good. a wonderful main pool, - there is also a further pool at the rear of the hotel near the snack bar. i was on the healthy options for the week so the variety of salads was perfect for me. the food again for three stars we all thought was excellent, good breakfast variety too. i would be fed up of any all inclusive after more than a week so by day seven i was looking forward to home cooking is no reflection on the hotel.
Ice-cream is on offer but its round the side of the snack bar, - you just help yourself but i think in fairness its probably rather out of the immediate 'eye' so you need to ask. hired bikes from the guy at bouganvilla and cycled to cala millor, decent mountain bikes with good gears 4 for 4hrs 15hrs, - think we got a good deal. the train to the resort of sa coma is very regular and free, stops to pick up at burger king only. we walked down to the centre and it usually took us about 20 minutes and bus back.
I have said we wouldnt go back to bouganvilla but that was nothing to do with the quality of hotel.
Our perception was the majority of the clients were 'rough diamonds',. How significant or insignificant that may be is entirely your own perception but my husband does not have my name or the childrens name tatooed across his lower back and we dont smoke so perhaps that is why we felt in the minority. (We didnt have football towels either) . Again thats just my perception and i 'dont do football' althought my husband likes to watch football.
We met another two families who as i understand it were of the same feeling.
I have given hotel staff 3 as many of the waiters did not acknowledge us however that was by no means the case with all. The restuarant manager was very polite and welcoming. Im quite sure given what i saw they will have their public relations tested to the limit so overall all i think by the end of the season they will deserve a medal or several!

The hotel was lovely. Our room was fine, well equiped, however a litle small for the three of us. The room was cleaned 10 times out of the 14 days we were there, and we always had clean fresh towels.
We went self catering so cant really give fair comment on the food. We used the restaurant for breakfast most morning and found the food to be a little repetitive after a while.
The location of the hotel is great, its only a 15min walk into the main town.
We found all the staff to be helpful and friendly.
Entertainment, boy do those guys work hard, from 10am till midnight there is always something going on to join in with, the big top on a night is very loud, and i was pleased that i wasnt in one of the rooms near there, some acts were better than others, with a good range to suit all ages.
We would definatley visit this hotel again, my little boy had a fab time, and because of that so did myself and husband.

i traveled to the bouganvilla last year june/july 2008
and i must say it was one of the best holidays i have been so far. we arrived about half 2 in the afternoon. it is massivee! we couldnt find our appartment and the map was a little bit hard to understand but when we asked for help the directed us straight there and were very helpful. the appartments where very basic but had everything you would need it was spotless they were cleaned nearly everyday we were there and the maids very friendly, the rest of the staff were very poite and we had a very good laugh with them, we got up around half 10 and we found sun beds fairly easy each day .
the whole place was FABULOUS!
and i am definatley going back again ..
and i would highly reccomend this place x

bear in mind this was in 2008 and i herd it had been taken over by another company now and is no longer sun centre so i am not sure how much is has changed or maybe if it is just the entertainment either way i would really reccomend this hotel!
happy holidays!

The rooms were clean and ample for what we wanted, 2 star at the most.the food was invariably cold, and the meat dishes were tough and unpalatable, with very little other choice.
The hotel is about 20 mins walk from the beach at sa coma, the staff at the hotel were okay, but not very social or talkative.the entertainment for adults was non existent, unless you wanted to play bingo every night, or listen to the reps performing.(no thanks)
It rained for three days, so parents be warned, bring some entertainment with you for the kids, unless you want to spend all day in the one bar.
You can imagine what that would be like without anything for them to do. I would say that for the kids it is a passable hotel, for adults only, do not bother to go, you will be bored silly.

Got the the apartments, checked in and were offered free half board in exchange for swapping from a 2 bed apartment to 1 bed.... we refused, we like to eat out.
Our apartment was spacious, with plenty of room for us and our 3yr old daughter. 2 double bedrooms, a bathroom, and living room with space for a dining table, 2 ring hob, fridge, microwave and toaster, and a bed settee plus a balcony. It was very clean, with plenty of towels. Cleaned every other day, which was enough.
Went for a walk into Sa Coma, took about 15-20 mins.(It's quite a good walk, flat and not strenuous!)
Then the night came..... we were in an apartment not far from "The Big Top" where the entertainment takes place. It was so loud our windows rattled, and if you want to go to bed before midnight, forget it. Our daughter spent most nights crying that she couldn't get to sleep. I suspect it's not that bad if you're further away from it!If you like a kiddies disco, then a bit of bingo, then either some "reps entertainment" or a tribute band (ABBA, Elvis...that sort of thing) and you like it loud, this is the place for you. They also had a fairly limited playlist for the disco, which became very annoying...
The pools are great, but fairly cold at this time of year (it's OK once you're in, as everyone kept saying!) There are signs around the pool saying that reserving sunloungers is prohibited, and any towels will be removed - the hotel didn't keep true to this, on one morning by 9am we found nearly all the loungers had been reserved, and nothing was done about it.
We enjoyed it though, would go back again when we're all a bit older! We just worked out that we would go out in the evenings, have a meal, get back, wear our daughter out in the little playground they have there, then try to sleep if we could.
The staff were helpful, the Welcome Meeting was a sales pitch, and we never had much to do with the reps, because we never had any trouble there really, other than the noise, but what can you do about that?!!

We travelled with no children and even though this resort is family orientated we still found a quiet corner to relax and soak up some late sun.
Prices on site are slightly dearer than in town ,but you are paying for the convience.
Towels changed three times in the week, cleaners always around, pool area very tidy cleaners even brushing up autumn leaves.
Safety deposit box 24 euros with 10 returned when key handed back. Big top entertainment can be loud but at midnight every where quiet.
As season coming to an end things in Sa Coma winding down.
Food can be found ranging from tapas to chip butty. If you want a quite break would recommend, don't know what the bougie would be like in high season but we really enjoyed our week.
