Complex was quite large but very clean and well tended. Bar, dining room, 2 pools (1 very large pool with lifeguards and one quieter smaller pool), snack bar, a few onsite shops (not too expensive either), kids club area (both indoor and outdoor), tennis court, volleyball and 2 football pitches (one tarmac and one sand). There is a large entertainment marquee (big top) where the main entertainment takes place. The complex is about a mile from the beach and town centre but a mini train runs every 30 minutes for those unable (or not willing) to walk. This service runs from about 9 in the morning until 6 at night, with an hour off for dinner. For walking, it's about a 15 - 20 minute walk. There are several supermarkets and bars close by
RECEPTION
Check in was quite good without too much of a wait. Staff spoke very good English and were always very helpful with any questions.
ROOMS
We had a studio apartment which consisted of 2 beds + a sofa bed, a couple of chairs and a table, a small kitchen, bathroom with full bath and shower overhead, and the usual wardrobe etc. Room was absolutely spotless with no real signs of wear and tear.
FOOD & DRINK
For a 3 star, the food was good quality with a decent selection of salad, main courses, vegetarian and pasta. There was certainly room for improvement with the table situation as there didn't seem to be enough staff on to clear the tables so sometimes you had to sit down at a table which had the dirty pots from the previous diners. Sometimes there was quite a queue for the dining room, but this soon went down.
The bar was very orderly with a queueing system which the waiters were very good at enforcing when people tried to jump the queue. Service was ok. They didn't rush but we never had to wait more than a few minutes. Everyone (apart from 1 person) was friendly and polite, and they were always good for a laugh. You are only allowed 2 drinks per person per trip to the bar so if there are 4 of you, 2 people need to go up.
POOL & GARDENS
There were plenty of sunbeds round the pool (but we did go in October when it wasn't all that full). Pool was very cold (again, probably due to the time of year) but was well laid out with Lifeguard attendance every day.
STAFF
Always friendly and polite and most spoke very good English.
ENTERTAINMENT
Entertainment was on throughout the day around the bar and pool area (quizzes, games etc) and the evening entertainment was in the big top. This started with the usual kids club, bingo, prize giving, daft games etc before the main entertainment which started at 10 pm. The main entertainment was good quality with the majority of it being "bought in", mainly tribute acts (Elvis, Drifters, Michael Jackson etc. etc.) but the staff put on a couple of shows as well, which were quite good.
SURROUNDING AREA
Sa Coma is fairly small but turn right when you get to the beach and S'Illot is only a few minutes walk away. For a larger place, Cala Millor is only a 30 minute walk away which has lots more shops etc. You can also hire bikes, catch an open top bus, or get on the mini train to get there. The beach is quite large and very clean with lots of umbrellas and sunbeds (charged for)
OVERALL
We had a great time at the Bouganvilla and would recommend it for a family or couples holiday at a reasonable price

There is a large entertainment arena to the rear of the site - which although is noisy during the late evening, does finish (strictly) at 12 midnight. There was always sunloungers available and the pool was very clean. The rooms, for self-catering, were well equipped for 2 people and they were well cleaned during our 11 day stay. You have to realise that this is a very busy complex and you will have to queue for some drinks, food and facilities.

When we arrived we recognised one of the Thomas Cook reps who has been a neighbour in my town of Liverpool for a few years. This neighbour informed us that Thomas Cook will no longer be organising the entertainment in this complex for the summer of 2009, this will now be the responsibility of the hotel. This was also confirmed last week in a local Thomas Cook travel agent. In no way am I saying the entertainment will not be as good, I just believe Thomas Cook and their reps were fantastic and it will take something special to replace them. Anyone who has been here before will understand my concern.
I just want people to be aware of this and hope they have a great holiday
thanks Alan
