i have read reviews on this hotel and my family and i where worried about going. we arrived about 1 in the morning, checkin was slow, we were given some sort of snack, you would not have given it to your dog..

we where given a table i think it was number 25?, beside the deserts...the food was terrible. we only had breakfast once, warm orange juice, some sort of rubber eggs, you would not touch and toast...evenin meal was worse...after that we eat out...

we had room 216 which was clean and tidy on arrival, the a/c worked fine, clean towels every day, beds made and the lady done a great job keeping the room clean and tidy for us...

the pool area was lovely to look at but try and get a bed to relax on was impossible, beds were taking form early morning, by just a towel, we where down 1 morning by about 11 no free beds and only a few people out on them..

the wee snack bar was ok, staff were nice,

never got any hot food there wouldn't chance it...

the entertainment ok, something different every night

the management on the last day where very nice, our pick up wasn't until 4.30 and he let us keep our suitcases there all day...

i think the hotel was ok, staff were ok, just keep away from the food...

We have been on many holidays and this was the 2nd best. The food choice was fantastic,as good as an "all inclusive" The room we had was the best in the hotel, had views of the pool, sea, stage and side view.It was only 100 yds from the beach (well you have to have a BIT of exercise on holiday), near to McDonalds and burger king for the fussy eaters. I don't smoke but there was a seperate tv/bar for smokers which didn't annoy non-smokers. The rest of the hotel was no smoking indoors. The best part was the in-house entertainment, The whole team gave 150%. young or old, willing or not, they spoke to everyone and invited them to join in. Where they get there energy from i don`t know( and i'm not old)Even bingo is fun and different. Best entertainment team we've seen, Beware the hotel dance!!!We WILL be back and can't wait! Try it your self you won't be dissapointed

This was our 11th visit to the Rey Don Jaime. We noticed a big difference in the food this year - although there was still a varied choice, the quality was not so good. Sometimes the food was lukewarm and cutlery and plates were chipped/marked. We mentioned this to the Rep.

The Hotel has recently been bought over by another hotel chain so maybe it is something tey will address but it certainly will not put us off going back

We stayed at this hotel in May/June and all i can say is thanks to the hotel Manageress and staff that were most helpful, the food was excellent, the cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, the entertainment staff Max, Rosh, Oli and Shelley were fantastic. You must go to appreciate what these four entertainers do. We had fabulous 2 weeks holiday, all of my party of four including me would not hesitate to go back again. The hotel is siuated in a lovely position, This holiday from start to finish was absolutely fab.

Our original holiday was cancelled 2 weeks before we were due to depart so ended up here.We found the food to be of a good standard and my fussy 5 year old found something at each meal time which she ate. Can't fault the hotel or its staff. The rooms were fine and luckily next to each other.
The only downside to the holiday was the bad exchange rate. Pints at hotel were 4Euros (when we went it was basically a pound a euro) and not much cheaper in resort. I love my litre of sangria and that was 8e at hotel but anything upto 14euro in resort. Last year in menorca it was 5ish so really noticed the differance this year. Most guests hired a fridge and went up to the big syp supermarket to stock up on drink. So if you have booked to go here you'll have a fab time but just make sure you take lots of beer money!

The hotel gives a dissapointing impression on arrival as the front sliding doors are broken. There is an occasional smell of sewerage from the rising main further down the road.

The room we stayed in was small, very little wardrobe or drawer space, although the maids kept it spotlessly clean, towels were changed every day.

The hotel is just a sort walk from the beach.

There is plenty of variety of food available in the restaurant, but it varied from warm, cold or stone cold.

We booked a late check out room in the uk, we were able to keep the room we were in and also the safe key which was a nice touch, it made the last day a lot easier.

The fridge and t.v were charged for at quite an expensive rate, but as they had got a medical fridge these were not needed. The sun parasols were an issue as there were about 20 available and there is a mad rush at 8am for the beds and parasols.

The hotel staff were very good, also the pub staff who tried really hard to make people welcome.

The entertainment is dire, unless you like playing bingo or listening to a Beatles tribute band that didnt sound like the Beatles.

I stayed in hotel Rey Don Jaime and thought it was amazing.

The entertainment staff were the highlight of my holiday, Max puts so much effort into everything and makes sure everyone is comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay and would definetley return. The hotel was spotless everywhere, the staff were really friendly and catered for our every need. The food was very nice with a big selection.

We went to the Rey Don Jamie for four nights at the begining of may. The Hotel was nice and clean room the same maid service every day. Food was very nice. Location just a stroll from the beach (past a smelly river). Staff were really friendly. We didn\'t stay for the entertainment as we went out every night! Id stay here again tho it is a bit expensive for what it is i think if i was paying the same amount again id look for something else.

Had originally booked the Hesperia Hotel 7months previously only to be phoned 1day before departure, the hotel was overbooked and we where now going to the Rey don jaime,so did not know anything about this hotel, so when arriving at hotel 1st impressions were good, reception area was quite large ,booked in quickly a room on the second floor at the front of hotel.
room adequate for us we had a 2 week stay, only problem was storage for clothes was not enough. maid in every day, towels changed if left in bath ,wc facilities good, shower and bath.
we went late in may so hotel not to busy, breakfast and evening meals plenty of choices available, outside pool area ,no problems getting a sunbed, pool size ok, reps good organising games through the day for kids and adults, entertainment ok some nights , depends on your taste, there is also a small indoor pool to use as well as the outside pool, can be expensive for drinks in the hotel as well as a large lounge area, there is a pub bar which stays open to 3am if you can last that long, max is the barman and does his own brand of caberet it,s great, yes i would go back to hotel if going on holiday.
