As a student I didn't have much money to spend on an exotic holiday this year but luckily managed to scoop up a deal at my local travel agents for just over

Hotel in an ideal location if you have small children a few steps take you right onto the beach which is really clean. beds cost 5 euros each.

Food was much to be desired, even if you managed to be one of the first ones in the restaurant the food was only lukewarm. do not cater for children.

We had the pleasure of been placed onto floor -3. if you are given a room between 300 and 325 do not accept it as this is located directly underneath the restaurant and the bar!! scrapping of chairs on a night after 11pm and just before 7am is not the best.

We would go back to this hotel but only on a last minute deal. One good thing came out of the stay at this hotel was there was a boy named samuel that my son Dean met and they played for the whole 2 weeks.

We only wish we had exchanged addresses as Dean would have like to have kept in touch. Resort quiet but felt extremely safe there and there was a bar that had just opened on the sea front called Goody Goody. This has a huge bouncy castle in the shape of two whales which was great for the kids and gave us time to enjoy a drink or two.

Just got back from my third trip to the Aguamarina. I love it there. The children, 5 and 7, love it and wanted to stay longer. (The little one doesn't speak yet.)

The Hotel now have air conditioning in both blocks. We stayed in Block B with an interconnecting door between two rooms which was great.

The food is what you can expect. The children didn't have any problem finding things to eat. I would say they tended to eat too much.

We came a bit earlier this year and noticed that some of the entertainment hadn't started yet. There was always something there but not as much as the second half of our stay. However, the hotel is a bit quiter before half term so I guess it depends on what you like. The entertainment team is great and the rest of the staff always friendly and accomodating.

Had to get clean sheets in the middle of the night, took about five minutes until they arrived.

I love the fact that the beach is so close, apart from being a very nice one too. I will definitely go back.

We travelled to Aguamarina in May for 2 weeks half board, after reading many negative reports I was a bit nervous in arriving, but on arriving to the hotel I was very impressed it was very clean and very presentable.

We stayed in A block on -2 overlooking the most beautiful beach. The rooms are adequate decent size with a stunning view overlooking the mediterranean sea.

The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis the maids do a fantastic job. All the hotel staff are very friendly and are fantastic with children.

The food is OK can get a bit boring after the first week but you can always find something to eat it can be a bit cold at times depending on what time you go for dinner.

There is loads of entertainment for children coves noves is worth a trip and goody goody park.

We would certainly go back.

We travelled in May to this hotel and had a fantastic time. We met our friends there and they too had a great time. The food was pretty standard but with enough choice for everyone.

The hotel is very clean, you see cleaners on the go all the time. The rooms were cleaned every day. We had a superior room in Block A which had a fridge as standard with wine and water on our arrival.

We thought this was a nice touch. Our rooms were huge, the biggest Ive ever seen. Our rep was very helpful too Jason I think he was called.

The location of this hotel is idyllic, the views across the bay are stunning, a view you could never tire of. Its a short walk down through the hotel gardens to the beach.

There are pedalos to take out and at the other end of the beach there are some kind of motor boats, We did both and thoroughly enjoyed them.

We kept our room on as we didn't leave until 8pm on departure day, this did cost 40 euros but was worth it. Staff very helpful.

There is a little train costs 6 euros that goes around the resort of Arenel de Castell, kids loved it, it passed on 50mins.

Every night its mini disco at 8.30, then bingo at 9, then entertainment for adults but suitable for kids too, singers or shows. Our kids loved all of this. Drinks are a bit pricey but we took a walk to the local spar shop every night and stocked up on kids drinks, and the views are beautiful along the walk.

We loved this hotel and holiday and didn't want to return home. Would definitely go back again, so too would our friends.

on pulling up to this hotel it looked like a prison but it was getting done up at the time but as we checked in and got to our room it wasnt to bad we had a seaview which was worth paying forthe hotel it self was clean and the food was ok plently of choice. the beach was nice but very steep banks to get to it but as we are young we managed it. there was few pubs that was ok the irish bar was a fav of ours. we love menorca but not arenel as we discovered a much nicer place and been back there 3 times since.

Aquamarina is great location right above a coved beach.
Plenty entertainment on all day for kids (and adult competitions too), and then the outdoor stage shows at night that catered for all:-

8.30 kids mini disco with Spanish and British tunes to dance to

9.30 Bingo for good prizes - quick 2 games.

9.50 Diploma certificate for kids and adult winners of day games

10pm The main stage show - a tributr act of Bee Gees, Temptations, Robbie Williams, or stage doing a fun stage act lasting maybe 50 mins.

Hotel food was only thing that was not perfect, but plenty of items with about 6 hot choices a night, and extensive salad selection.

4 swiming pools, plus a adult-onoly jacusi.

Great views from bar in Block A over to the bay.

Block B is currently shut for refurbishment adding air condition and hopefully a lick of paint to outside.

Resort had other bars and several small supermarkets, so you are catered for, but still I'd hire a car for a few days as its real easy driving round the island.

I stayed in the hotel for one week and was booked into Block A. The rooms were immaculate, as were the dining room, swimming pools and public areas.

The food was somewhat predictable and the "snack bar" didnt exist - it was chips (extremely over-priced) or pizza from the bar.

As for location well it could hardly have been better. The views from our room on floor -1 (minus 1) were stunning and overlooked the bay and beach.

The staff were accommodating, friendly and reliable. Overall, having read some of the reviews before travelling, I was extremely worried and sceptical about what lay in store but I needn't have worried as my fears were unfounded.

On arrival it did'nt look very nice and there was some building work going on but once got in hotel and room with sea view (which is a must)we changed our minds.

The hotel and rooms are very clean ours was cleaned every day.

The beach is lovely very clean and my 1 year old loved just sitting playing. It is set in a lovely cove and its great for kids, its a family place which was ideal for us as a family.

We did hire a car for 3 days which we did from our hotel Augamarina and we toured the whole island and I must say visit Cala Galdana it's a beautiful place. We loved it that much that we are booked to go there in May 2007 but we will get car hire again and go back to Arenal.

When we first saw our room we asked if we could exchange as it was on the 1st floor and overlooking all the other rooms, they exchange it for one over the shops wich was quieter(double glasing)and a bit more isolated (but still had to leave curtains closed).
We did not have air conditionning and we had 2 single beds as a double bed wich was really uncomfortable.
The room was cleaned every day exept if you leaved the "do not disturb sign", we got the cleaner coming in the room around 8.30 without knocking!!!So if you want a good sleep leave the "do not disturb" sign outside the door the night before.

The breakfast was between 8 and 9am, good choice of food but horrible hot chocolate (full of water), it was just cold milk and no microwave to heat it so I stick to the fruit salad the whole week.
It was only one toaster working properly, so it was a queue all the time.

If I was going back it would be self catering as the diner get boring after 3 meals, it is better to try the restaurants around.

I was really annoyed that we had to pay for drinks at diner but not for breakfast!! anyway I never payed, I bring my own bottle of water in a bag, even if it is not allowed it was no way I would pay for that, i found this really gready.

The night entertainement was ok for familly with kids but could get boring for a couple.
