We returned from the Aguamarina on 3 October 2005.

We booked allocation on arrival and had not visited Menorca before so were somewhat anxious about where we would be staying. As we approached the hotel my heart sank as it wasn't the most attractive hotel (from the back). However, we needn't have worried.

Once inside the hotel and our room we couldn't have been more pleased. We were placed at the back of the hotel but the view from the balcony was great.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, right on the most beautiful bay we have seen. I don't know what the hotel and beach would be like in high season but when we were there it was great.

The staff were pleasant (especially Fernando who made having a drink in the bar a pleasant experience) and the food was fine. You have to get used to the very small plates though.

The entertainment was good (apart from Mr Aguamarina!) with the tribute to the Temptations being brilliant.

We went as a family group ranging from 7-75.

Hotel complex was very good with something for everyone, kids stayed in the pool most of the time, beach was lovely and clean, sunbeds and umbrellas bit pricey 6 euros each!

Food was good and plentiful, my boys enjoyed going up and helping themselves, tried a bit of everything, breakfast plentiful, never eaten so much!

Drinks a bit pricey but hotel prices. Irish bar was very good, Didn't watch too much entertainment but day-time team very good, especially waterpolo.

Need to hire car as to see some other parts of island.

Only down point was not enough lights around complex when it got dark because there were a few hidden steps!

Would go back.

The hotel is spotless and food varied and of a good standard.

We paid for a sea view which was stunning in Block A, the room was air conditioned and recently decorated.

No tea/coffee making facilities in the room so worth taking a travel kettle.

My children were not too bothered with the entertainment but they did enjoy the Robbie williams tribute act and the staff really try to keep them entertained.

The pools were good and the beach has lovely soft sand and beautiful clear water, it does obviously get busy but not unbearably so.Pedaloes and canoes are available for hire and if you fancy a walk a few little coves to discover.

Having booked to visit the Aguamarina for the 1st time in 2003, we were then horrified to read some of the critical reports on various websites to the extent that we tried to change our holiday booking and go elsewhere. Fortunately, we were unable to do so and have just returned from our 3rd enjoyable visit.

The hotel consists of 2 buildings. Block B is the more modern and has some rooms that have the most beautiful sea view. All rooms in this block are air conditioned. As we did for our 2nd and 3rd visits, it is well worth paying the extra to ensure that you have one of these rooms. Block A is the first building that you see as you approach from the airport and it's exterior gives a very negative impression of the hotel. The rooms do not currently have air conditioning and become very uncomfortable during the hot summer as we found during our first visit. Block A is desperately in need of modernisation although we were told that this will take place during the winter. The hotel rooms are of adequate size and are kept clean and tidy via a daily maid service.

The hotel stands within expansive grounds and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the facilities have been upgraded between 2004-2005.

There are 2 good size family pools, 1 shallow pool for families with babies/small children and a jacuzzi which is for use by adults. All 4 pools have their own sunbathing areas, none of which gets overly crowded. For those seeking a quieter day, there are numerous other areas within the grounds to sit and relax.

In addition to the pools, there are tennis, mini golf, shooting, basketball and table tennis facilities available. These facilities are also used by the hotels excellent entertainment team who have a daily programme of activities for both children and adults. Evening entertainment begins nightly at 10 O clock and over the fortnight, this tends to be a fairly mixed bag with some of the acts being excellent whilst others could be improved. For those wanting a quieter night, the bar/balcony area in block B is very relaxing.

The hotels location is superb for people who are looking for a relaxing time with Arenal D'en Castell's superb beach on it's doorstep. The location isn't for those seeking a boisterous holiday but there are an adequate number of bars/restaurants within walking distance. It is also well worth hiring a car for a couple of days to explore other parts of the island.

The roads are relatively quiet and it's almost impossible to get lost.

The only complaint I would have about the hotel is the food. Breakfast is fine with a wide selection of both English and continental style but the evenings could be improved. At evening meal, quantity isn't an issue but quality is. Whilst each evening offers a wide choice, the same things tend to get repeated over the fortnight meaning that mealtimes can become very monotonous. Due to this, we budget to eat out 4 times over the holiday. If [as was rumoured]the hotel is to be upgraded to 4 star, the food will definitely require improvement.

Prior to visiting the Aguamarina for the 3rd time, we said that this would be our last visit and that next year we will try elsewhere. Having once again had a great time, we are now undecided. From a value for money point of view, the hotel is second none that I have previously visited.

We went to Aguamarina last year and were so impressed we have just returned back this year after taking my parents with us.

The hotel on approach doesn't do it justice, it really could do with a lick of paint, but once you get inside you will see how lovely it really is.

It is always very clean, rooms cleaned every day with fresh towels and beds changed twice a week.

The staff are always very friendly and welcoming.

The food is execelent great choice both for breakfast and evening meal. Meals are buffet style and you can fill your plate as much as you wanted to.

We never left the resturant hungry, even the kids enjoyed the food too.

The hotel is right on a beautiful sandy cove and you can easily get here by walking down some steps from the hotel.

The beach is wonderful.

My 3yr old was quite safe running up and down the beach and swimming into the sea on her own when she decided to run off.

There are no young idiots around mainly young families and older couples.

There is not a great deal to do out of the hotel at night the irish bar is good and coves noves is great for the kids, but thats is it, but the entrtainment in the hotel was really quite good so you didn't need to go out.

They had great tribute bands on such as Robbie Williams and the Temptations, and mini disco is a must for youngsters of a certain age.

Just returned yesterday and had an absolutely brilliant holiday.

We were in block A which had just been refurbished, brand new beds and air conditioning and a view over the bay to die for.

We were entertained from 10 in the morning till bedtime. The entertainment staff were excellent and they worked along with the eurotravel reps to provide us with games, competitions , a childrens disco and an excellent show every night.

Tribute bands were on some of the nights ,all were good but top of the pops by the staff was not to be missed. The food was good and the whole hotel was absolutely spotless ,no matter the time of the day.

The hotel had two family pools ,two toddler pools and an adilt only jacuzzi and steps down to the beach , a perfect location, you could go to the beach for as long as you wanted or just laze at the pool.

You could get a sunbed any time you wanted, we never had a problem getting one ,even at 2 in the afternoon. We will certainly be back here. A tip though ,send your kids to the hotel kids club , they will be busy from dawn to dusk.

We stayed at the Club Hotel agaumarina. It was by far the best holiday we have ever had.

The hotel was spotless, maid service every day.

The food was plentiful and the staff extremely helpful.

The best part of the holiday was the entertainment that was provided literally all day and late into the evening as well. All the animacion team worked extremely hard and were always full of smiles, in particular Eric, Bruce, Sabella, Orlaia, Clara and Patrick. Patrick's language skills were amazing, he could speak about 7 languages!!

My only complaint about the holiday was the prices of the drinks in the restaurant. 2 euros 10 for a coke. Apart from that though it was fantastic in a beautiful location right on the beach.

The food was plentiful and varied and of very good quality.

The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and towels were replaced daily.

The hotel was within easy reach of the fantastic beach/bay. There is an exellent sea view from the hotel well worth paying extra for.

The entertainment was of an excellent standard, very child friendly.

The staff were helpful and very friendly.

We were a little dubious before departing after reading some of the previous rewiews - however we have to say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The hotel rooms are extremely small - far too small really for 2 single beds and a set of bunk beds, and trying to get 4 people showered and changed was a squeeze!

However they were clean and we had maid service every day.
The food was fine - plenty of choice and well presented - drinks quite expensive in restaurant and bars!

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The entertainment staff were great - lots of sports activities for adults and the evening entertainment was very good, especially for the children.

The hotel has 5 pools which were all very clean and a life guard was on duty most of the time.
The location is excellent, a short walk down to the most beautiful beach which is perfect for adults and children alike.

All in all we would recommend this hotel, especially for families. It is very busy and noisy, particularly at night, and the rooms are small, but it was a really fun holiday!

We travelled to the Club Aguamarina hotel for a week. We stayed half board.

We found the complex really clean, all day there was staff cleaning the hotel and sweeping the grounds.

The maids came in every day and we had the beds changed once during the week. There were clean towels put in the bathroom every day.

The food was really good, we had a 9 year old who had two servings every night nearly. Also a 5 year old who's really picky, but there was even something for him every day.

The location was within reach of all the bars and shops nearby with not too far to walk.

The staff were friendly and helpful, our bathroom light wouldn't stay on it kept flickering, we had to report it twice but then they did replace the bulb.

We found the entertainment really good especially for the children, they enjoyed the mini disco every night.

The only downfall about the whole holiday was there was no air conditioning in the rooms and they were really small so they got extremely hot.

We would go back but even more so if air con was installed. But above all we had a great time.
