The reps did a mini disco for the little ones and some children got to be a clown if they really wanted to, and the reps were really kind and chatty.
The food was ok but didn't do much for vegetarians they only had salad or sometimes rice/pasta.
I would definitely go back to this hotel the people that go there for their holidays are lovely as well they talk to you and everything.
We made some friends over there and keep in touch with them.

The rooms are basic but again clean, room enough for two but maybe cramped for families. We found the pillows very uncomfortable to sleep on and the room was very hot but you can hire a fan from the hire shop. We were not lucky enough to get a sea view I'm sure the breeze would have helped, but after a few days we got used to the climate.
The food was very very good lots of choice and served in a nice airy and bright restaurant, you could eat as much as you wanted. The waiting staff were friendly and worked very hard keeping tables clean.
The location was very good the beach was large and not too crowded; we went for a walk along the headland to the next resort Son Parc, a good hours walk but worth it. We also used the bus service to go to Mahon and Fornells, my advice start to queue at least 20mins before the bus is due to be sure of a seat and the same applies to coming back, but well worth it for one euro seventy five.
The entertainment was okay we only watched one show.
This hotel is well worth a visit and I would recommend it

Reading all this information on the hotel I can honestly say I am wondering if I stayed in a different hotel. Our hotel from the outside was very shabby, resembled cell block H.
The reception was decorated nicely, but the rooms were very old fashioned and dark. There was a maid service every day and the towels were changed. However, the shower curtain was ripped, the towels were clean but marked and so was the sheets.
We went down for dinner on the first night the choice for the main meal was beefburger, sprouts, chips, rice, chicken and pasta. I ask anyone who rated the food 5/5 on here how can this be plenty of choice? However, the food choice did get better as the week went on. I found sometimes on a night the staff set the table with tablecloth but then we had to go and get our own crockery.
We went into Mahon and had a walk to Sol Parc which is worthwhile, however we did go on a bus to Fornells but not much there only a marina and a few bars.
Bay and sea was out of this world. We had a walk upto a neighbouring hotel (Thomson Gold) which was a 3 star. I would recommend anyone who stayed at this hotel to walk up to the Thomson hotel and compare.
I would say aguamarina hotel was really a 2 star. The staff on departure never even said did you enjoy your stay. We never let any of this spoil our holiday and have booked to go to Menorca next year to Cala Galdana. This will be my third visit to menorca.

Dining room gets busy at breakfast no matter what time you go. Must hire a fridge to keep drinks cold but does take up room in a small room to start with, can hire fan told by others not much good.
Pool area clean and plenty of sunloungers. Excellent childrens entertainment from hotel team from morning to night.

Overall a good holiday. Rumour had it that the hotel had been taken over by a new company for this season and will be totally refrurbished during the winter shut down.

We were impressed with the cleanliness and how friendly everyone was. Our almost two year old had a fantastic time every night at the mini disco. The only thing is that there are no shops or bars in the area. You have to go my bus to Mahon but no buses ran in the evening so adults did have to stay put.
We met some lovely families and would like to say hi to Emma, Andy and boys, Mike and Nikki and boys, Ray and Elise and Lauren, keep in contact guys.

I have read all the reports on the Hotel Agua Marina and I thought it best to set the record straight, I worked at this hotel in the Summer of 2004 for a major UK tour operator and I would just like to let you all know exactly what this hotel is like.
1. I have read many reports on this site and others that the hotel is noisey, this is a family hotel as are the majority in Menorca, Menorca its self is a huge family destination with the local people themselves placeing a lot of importance in family. However this is also a great hotel for couples, they do have entertainment on nearly everynight, with a kids mini disco at 8.30 and either an independant act on after or the hotel entertainment team's own show.
If you go to bed before 10.00pm at home then yes you will find that you can hear the hotel entertainment, and i would suggest that you choose another property.
However if you like to site of an evening and watch a little light entertainment with a drink, or you can even sit on the balconey at block A and admire the beauifull bay. This hotel is not anymore noisy than any hotel which has entertainment.
2.I have also read alot of the food offered at the hotel, there is a huge choice and if you dont usually eat burger and chips for dinner you'll love it. Theres fresh salad choices/veg options/fish/chicken/red meat/sea food i could go on...there are some fantastic deserts.
3.location of the hotel is excellent...right on the beach..you can either use the lift in block A or take the 5 min walk down to the beach. I have travelled all over the world and worked all over aswell and this is one of the nicest beaches i have ever seen and def the nicest on the island.
4. all in all this is a fantastic hotel and i would recommend to all, however if you do like early nights and by early i mean before 9/10 do yourself and your rep a favour and book somewhere else.
5.lastly I would ask you to all to please think before you act when on holiday. We know that you have paid a lot for your holiday and you want it to be perfect, but sometimes we cannot wave a magic wand. This can be out of our control, anyway what happens in the other 50 wks of the year, does everything run perfect all the time! I think not...your holiday rep..probably works about 12+ hours a day and in high season it can be more..they will try to do there best for you but when someone is screaming at you..there is no way in the world you want to help that person..if you are calm and polite and have manners (which most people dont) it will get you all the help they can give.
All in all...happy holidays...

We have 2 children aged 8 and 2 who were kept entertained from dawn till bedtime( usually about midnight, the 2 yr old fell asleep about 10.30pm).
The reception was very impressive, big, freindly staff, air conditioning, reps always available to help, even if they weren't your own tour operator.
The dinning room was very good as well. You were greeted by the hotel manager every night for your evening meal. The food was very good, there probably could of done with a bit more choice, but you never left there hungry.
Evening entertainment wasa really good. The animation team did brilliant. They kept the kids entertained with mini disco, and believe me you will know all the dances by the end of the holiday, especially La Bomba at the end of the night.
Lights go out at about midnight, but it is still posssible to get another drink if you really want one. In the morning the dinning room is very full, but we did always manage to find a table and highchair.
Breakfast was ok, but stay away from the sausage(very fatty).
The rooms were ok, kept very clean, maid service every day, maybe a bit samll with 4 in but then again you only sleep in them and not spend all day there. We spent every day on the beach, just down some steps from the hotel, not as many as we were led to beleive, and could be cut shorter by the lift.
What a bay its amazing. Beautiful crystal clear waters, wonderfully clean beach, no idiots thers to spoil you day. We could let our 2 yr old run wherever she wanted knowing she was perfectly safe, the beach gently shelved into the sea and was shallow for some time.
All 4 of us could go into the sea together knowing our bag was safe on the beach. Plenty of space on the beach aswell, you were able to have your own privicy.
Not a great deal around the town of Arenal. Just a handful of shops, but I would say you could get everything you needed there.
Not too many places to visit outside the hotel if you fancy a night away from there. Coves Noves(about 5 min walk) is okay for the kids, it got a small go-kart track, bouncy castles and trampolines. There are some bars there for parents to have a drink while the kids play. The other place to visit is the irish bar(10min walk).
Defininatly worth a visit to see Dublin George, but he certainly believes in audience participation, so beware!!!!!!!!!!
All in all a wonderful holiday, so much so that we are going again this year and bringing my parents,we just know that they will love it.
If i did have to have a moan it would be that there is no air-condidtioning in the rooms, but if you leave the balcony door open its not too bad.
